I used to play an RPG entitled The Call of Cthulhu. It was based on Lovecraft novels, naturally. You'd get to play modules on anything ranging from ghost, vampire or zombie hunting, to fighting secret cults that worship Astral Demi-Gods like Cthulhu. It was loads of fun actually.

Well there's all sorts of shit flying about. The viral campaign is very good.

I was just checking out some of the info on this movie and I came across something interesting. This guy appears around :52 into the trailer wearing a shirt that reads Slusho and, sure enough, there’s a website. http://slusho.jp/ Check out the history section. Could this be a clue as to what the monster is?

I've read up on this Cthulhu creature, seems it lays dorment underground sleeping. So from the explosion I can only say that its come from beneath.

27 seconds into the trailer the woman mentions "Rob have fun in Japan" could this be something to do with the Slusho site?

The monster (or whatevs) better actually be decent and scary-ish, it better not be some PG rated wank either. I wanna see mass amounts of violence and foul language. Also, if it's a robot, I will be disappointed.

Looking at this again, the only resemblence i can see is the 3 claw marks on the back of the Statue of Liberty where the head has been ripped off.

What are peoples views on this film if you have seen it? Alot of my friends thought it was awful however I thought it was alright to some extent and thought it was very well made. It does end unexpectedly though I couldn't believe it when I seen the credits come up. Alright some of the effects were good, i'll give them that, but chucking dust over a few people and swinging a few lights around isn't worth my ticket fee really is it....

the story seems to have a start...a middle sort of develops...but somewhere along the line the end just got lopped off.

I got into this movie for free, I forgot to mention that in the other thread. I didn't like it however.
