Pele, Shearer, Fowler, Ronaldo, Henry, Muller, Dean, Di Stefano.

You may think this post is insane but it isn't if you consider who I'm comparing them against :smug:

I'd take Alan Smith purely for his workrate, ability and determination.

Torres average!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????? ????

How can he be average??? Liverpool paid 23 million quid for him and u think he's average just because he missed a penalty vs pompey or summat.

That is ludicrous!!!

No mate, you've got the wrong end of the stick, he's considered average because he is average. :erm:

Imo, Michael Chopra, Kevin Davies and Marlon Harewood should be added to the list, as they are all just average until they prove themselves this coming season by having a cracking year and breaking into the first team.

How is James "big tits" Beattie average? The guy is terrible and only selected as a last resort, so that his flab and bulbous shape will give his fellow striker more time and space, despite the fact his bulk takes up most of that space.

I will not take to opinion of someone who supports a team with Darius Vassell in their ranks.

Atleast Vassell can run pretty fast, thats far more then what that sweaty mass can do.

The thought of old big tits going near anywhere selling food is a truely frightening one. Pie shops of Sheffield, beware.

If Torres is average because of his "stats" does that mean Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry were average when they were Torres' age? Thier stats were worst than his. I think its unfair to call young striker average due to thier stats especially when they have shown a lot of potential like Torres has.

At Torres' age (23), Henry scored 17 league goals, and then scoring 24 goals in the following season.

Torres has scored 19 goals in one season and when Henry scored 24 goals wasn't he 24 years old? My point is Torres has a better goal scoring record than both Shearer and Henry did at the same age that is a fact.
