yeah i tryied that but id didn't work but ive figured it out now cheers
and for people who don't
1st of all you need a USB memory stick or use you psp for the same effect
2nd you need a save from a ps2 game on your PS3 hard drive e.g metal gear solid 3
3. go to the ps2 memory card section on your PS3 menu and copy the game save to the usb device
4. put the usb device into the p.c and go to my computer>removable device and you will see that the PS3 has set up a series of folders click through these untill you get to the file ending in .psv
5. copy your PES option file into the same folder that the .psv file is in (make sure that the PES option file is a .psv file or it won't work)
6. put the usb device back into the PS3 go to saved games then USB devices and copy the PES option file to you PS3's PS2 memory card
7. wack PES 6 in and your ready to rock and cock

I've been reading around and apparantly the PS3 adds a digital signature or something to the virtual memory card file meaning that your method shouldn't be possible. Has anyone else got this to work?

The easiest way is with a ps2 to ps3 mem card adaptor, mine was a tenner, its dead easy, put your mem card in it and connect it to your ps3 with the usb cable that charges your controller, go into ps1/ps2 mem card utility and it will find your ps2 card, then select the copy option and choose your destination, an existing virtual mem card or create a new one, and your done, easy peasy.

Yeah I want to get one of those but nowhere has the official one in stock and I don't really like buying third party stuff. Where did you get yours from?

ok hear goes i jus joined this is how i did mine its a bit mad ok here goes.
i used my sony ericsson phone i think mines a w810i (the black one lol) anyway all i did was download the file i found on here which by the way i cant find also its a still not fully update example henry is still at arsenal by the way i only jus did this now so it might even me an old option file i think it was called titch_PES6_PS3 its in psv file all i did was load download the file off here then send it to my phone which as a memory stick then (by the way on drag and drop the on that says ps3 not titch cus if u put titch b4 the ps3 it wont work) i opened it up on my ps3 then copy then save the copy on the ps2 bit on the ps3 then put ur pro on the load the option file....
thats it
so i dont need to buy max drive any more or a usb pen drive lol
p.s if u have a updated option file which is psv pls let me know also can u jus copy any option file and put .psv at the end will that work anyone tried this

Worked 100% for me pal....cheers.....The problem might be that you are looking in the ps3 save games and not the ps2 memory card save game.....thats what i did at first
