Cheap hotel near the O2 Arena?

A good friend of mine has brought tickets to see Prince (he's a gayer) at the 02 and he keeps bugging me about a cheap hotel. I keep telling him I've never stayed in a fucking hotel in London.

Anyway, if you guys could help me help him please leave something useful.

He could stay in a hostel if he's not fussed about basics.

Just book any Travelodge in London. You can get a twin room for £26 per night, although they sell out pretty quickly, so the next price band up after that is £56. Still, between two of you thats nowt. You can get the tube to and from the dome so it doesn't matter where abouts in London it is.
