Just a gut instinct and looking at the recent screenshots, I feel that this is gonna happen....

A - Playing as Inter in the San Siro, you will still have all the AC Milan ad boards.

B - Playing at Anfield, the away fans will still sit in the Kop end.

C - During Master League, players in CPU teams will change numbers e.g Van Persie - 4, Fabregas - 25, Adebayor - 11 and sometimes keepers will wear number 6 etc.

D - Playing a top of the table clash in ML, the stadium will pretty much be empty despite having all the stars turned to max for attendance. This usually happens when playing at Old Trafford.

E - Keepers who are left handed actually throwing the ball with their left hand. Every single keeper uses their right!

F - Licensed teams won't have more than one GK Strip and the ability to chose what kit the GK wears. As Rangers are licensed, I just know the daft idiots at Konami will use our all red GK Strip which will be a nightmare playing the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool etc.

G - Teams to have 3 kits (if they do in real life) and also bring back the option to mix and match kits eg Home Strip with away shorts and socks

It's little things like this which make Konami look like they can't be bothered bringing PES2008 to the next level. I just hope i'm proved wrong...

You are a whiny, whiny, little bitch and if you let insignificant stuff "ruin your day", then I bet if someone gave you a free Porsche 911 Turbo you'd complain about the color of the leather (cream and not white); I bet if that even when you get something on a 70% sale you still get upset when they don't offer you the freebie that costs 10p. I bet if Paris Hilton offered you a blowjob you'd complain about her not brushing her teeth before. I could go on forever but what's the use.

Difference is, PES2008 is NOT FREE. Neither is a PS3. We pay good money for these items and we deserve to have a say. You will also find that many others on here share the same opinion as myself. Konami need to improve these things or every year, it's going to be a let down.

It's a fucking forum. Look up the word "forum" in the dictionary!

Lots of people believe in very silly things which still don't make them true or intelligent. Even though PES is not free, the things that annoy you - which are totally petty and nonsensical - are the kind of things that just DO NOT MATTER. Life is not perfect, and we are always set to choose between alternatives. This means that you can choose between a few football games, and if you don't like PES (which is a nearly perfect game) you can switch to another one. However, saying that the jersey switch in the ML proves that Konami are not ready to take the game to the next level - when in fact, things like the game's engine, physics and grahpics are the core issues (together with hundreds of other important and less important things) - are superbly done - is just being a greedy person.

By the way - "Forum": city square or market, place of assembly, place for conducting official business (in ancient Rome); court; place where discussions are held; message board on the Internet focused on a particular subject (Computers). You presented your opinion stated, and you got whipped for presenting a sorry one. I don't see the relevance of this being a "forum".

Just think about how shitty FIFA is and how grateful you are to have PES.

I agree with Mr Heights...

These little things mean Jack Shit to me....

I would swap every single licenced shirt in the game for the ability to accurately and intentionally perform long passes, and have my player control or 1st time them in a 'consistent' manner.

And I would swap every single correct player name, likeness, and stats for the old school selection of Konami dodgy 'stunt doubles' if they could just engineer the games AI to PREVENT LAME GOALS FROM EXCESSIVE DRIBBLING AND PASSING INSIDE THE BOX!!!

If licences and attention to presentation details is what I wanted, then instead of playing PES for the past 7 years.....I would have been playing FIFA.....but me.....I prefer gameplay over glitz

(((Although....having said all that...Tommsen's Crowd Noise Patch for the PES2008 demo really brings the game to life)))

Here's what I think.

1) Stop playing as Inter.

2) Do you play football in the Kop?

3) Why are you so incredibly bothered with such small imperfections?

4) Really, stop playing as Inter.

Most of the little things don't really bother me. The only thing listed in the first post that really bothers me is the attendance in ML. I once played Liverpool(ranked 2nd) vs. Chelsea(ranked 4th) and Chelsea's stadium was nearly completely empty. It makes the game a bit unrealistic.

That annoys me too, the stadium atmosphere for the ML is awful. Its usually half empty, and no noise, except for a few drum beats and one person shouting something incoherent. Its so sterile and detached.

I agree with everyone else, the points you've brought up are the less important things needed within the game!
The crowd don't matter at all to me! they could have celtic fans all over old trafford and it wouldn't bother me! i tend to watch the ball when im playing not the crowd!

Most PES fans(including me) make comments similiar to that... when it comes to our games. Yet we constatly accuse Fifa of making these kinda mistakes. I don't want to continue that anymore. If there is a mistake in PES, why not admit it so Konami will try to do better next game. We have a better chance to be heard if we say something rather than say nothing at all.

Why can PES fans not accept criticism of their 'beautiful' game?

I can't tell you the amount of threads I have read over the years, just like this one, where people bring up reasonable points only to be belittled and made out to be an idiot because "Oh no, PES is great stop moaning about little things like that". These things may not be important to you, but frankly I think they should be very important to Konami.

To me I think having half empty stadiums (probably the best point from the original post) for a big game is ridiculous. How hard can it be to process this kind of thing for the game? Similarly, removing the option to pick and choose between kits its just odd. Konami have a habit of doing things like this...

Like how we can no longer change the player settings (so a second human player can play as your opposition in a league) before the game. Why change this when it worked fine in the first place?

You lot need to all open your eyes and see what is happening. Yes, I know, gameplay is the first and foremost of importantance... but Konami over-looking MINOR things is a MAJOR thing as far as I'm concerned. It just creates missed opportunities for SIMPLE little additions to the realism of the all round playing experience.

Point C really does annoy me. Having Totti as anything other than 10 feels wrong. The ability to mix kits was brilliant. I understand the 360 version of PES6 wasn't complete, but it wasn't in the PS2 version either, I believe.

Defending a through pass has always been something I've wanted improved. In all incarnations of the Konami series, defenders freeze when you play a through pass, so I eventually stopped doing it. Defending one has become better, with super cancel being more responsive on PES6, but it only works if you have time - the defenders will freeze for a second, but after that you can take control.

I hope with 'Team Vision', CPU defenders will be quicker to stop through passes.

In which game could you mix kits? I been wanting that in the new footy games but they never add it.

Less to do with accepting criticism and more to do with these points being petty and minor and not worth even talking about.

The only one that seems important at all is the attendance issue and I'd be shocked if it wasn't sorted for the new version.Of course they are worth talking about... why not just fix them if they are so minor?

Guys read the original post. The problem is not with criticism of the beautiful game - the problem with OldFirmBlue's post is the way. Constructive criticism is accepted; saying that those things "drive you mental" and that not correcting them proves that Konami can't be bothered to bring the game to the next level just annoy me (personally). A few people agreed with me, and a few agreed with the OFB, but the real point is - if you want to criticize, make sure you don't sound like a whiny kid.

Gollan I think the thing that is starting to really annoy people like OldFirmBlue is that some of these problems have existed since day ONE but would be so easy to fix. If it was a new feature Konami had introduced but got something slightly wrong I think everyone would forgive them, but not fixing something after years and years is just odd.

CaptainCabinet
01-10-2007, 09:53
Without attempting to be too racist, honest. Where are their focus groups? You've gotta think that Konami will have focus groups based around China/Japan/U.S. none of which would know about these problems, especially ones like the away fans in the Kop. They may also not be accustomed to one played having one number for his career at that club, so that would be that problem not focused on.

thing that annoys me most is when your shoulder to shoulder under pressure and shoot and the do a shitty little toe pop straight into the keepers arms,i have never seen anyone pass back to the wrong keeper like on PES before!it wouldnt be so bad if they shot normally and blazed it wide but that toe pokes so enfuriating! never paid any attention what so ever to the kop stadium,so i wouldnt know about fans been misplaced, wont be a problme on next gen tho since its apparently not there.

Players with high body balance and/or tactical dribble ability, like Adriano, C. Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic, can shoot normally when under pressure. I know what you're saying though, it looks like the players are shit, but I think it's reasonable that some players take weaker shots when under pressure.

Some thing else that annoys and effects the gameplay is the offside rule. When I pass it to a player offside, even before the player touches the ball, the whistle blows. That sucks because sometimes I want to step over the ball without touching and let it run for another player.
