Xbox live is a great service, although we have to pay it gets updates very often and gives its user many more options. The xbox live arcade is great aswell

At the end of the day, its about the final product, not a five minute demo. Both consoles are good(not much between them) Also PSN has only been running for 6 month really, whereas xbox live was established ages ago, obviously its gonna be better.

Having owned both, I prefer the PS3 by the time you purchase all the necessary add-ons for the 360 there's very little difference in price. The PS3 pad is far better personally, thankfully Sony are capable of producing a half decent D-Pad a mountainous task Microsoft seem to struggle with, severely.
As a console they're at a similar level and the choice depends really on financial constraints and the genre of games you prefer, however I also want to use it to play DVD/Blu-ray in which case the PS3 is a better all round system. Then there's the small fact that PES on PS3 is far superior to PES on the Xbox 360, I gave up playing PES5 (Xbox Version) on the 360 as it was very poor and the pad was useless, that is not the case on the PS3 as the pad is perfect for sports gaming.

I hear you John4. I think your man means that the PAD is easier to play soccer games with on PS3..I for one completly agree..but its only a control pad tho! If I had a choice...PS3 pad would be my number one. That does not make me a fan boy does it?
The control pad was the only fripe I had for the 360. Since I've had mine I've started to use the analouge and have no need for the d-pad so it doesn't bother me much anymore

Well it would make mildly superior considering the following:
- PES was designed around the Dualshock style and the D-Pad is the most accuracte device for player movement.
- The D-Pad on the 360 pad is beyond diabolical, making PES virtually unplayable.
I'm not joking when I say I wouldn't bother with PES, if I had no choice but to play it on a 360 pad. I love the game on the PS3 (PES6) and despised the game on the 360 (PES5) and sold my 360 and purchased a PS2 again to play PES (5). In my eyes, that's a fairly vast difference.
The 360 isn't a bad console, it's just it's not one that interests me as the pad is geared towards FPSs than sports simulations. Unfortunately, first person shooters are only mildly better on the 360 where as the D-Pad is virtually infinitely better on the PS3 considering I'm more interested in the latter I don't think there's a single advantage to me owning an Xbox 360. Do you?
On the subject of the demo, I'm highly uninterested in a demo in any case.

Pro Evo will always be better on a Sony Console.
Not to mention Blu Ray will kick the shit out of HD-DVD.

whatever happens you just can not hide the fact that the 360 has a retarded controller I suppose. I have both systems. while there is not much difference at the moment apart from the range of games which is now sorted due to their being ps3 releases every week. looking into the future though I think the ps3 will probably shadow the Xbox360. It has way more potential i suppose. and going back to basics it actually has a controller that you can use!!

I have both and prefer the PS3, it looks better, has built in DVD and HD upscaler and is just better all round. The memory card and USB slots are awesome.

Each console has its own con's and pro's. The PS3 is much much better IMO. The service Microsoft give customers for the XBOX is shit aswell. I mean, when you get the 3 red lights, or have to send it back for some reason, all they do is give you a console that has been sent back which they "fixed". The XBOX was rushed so much to get it on the market before the PS3. Which is why it has all these faults, what do Microsoft do? Extend the warrenty on the XBOX. I have an XBOX and i play it everyday, but im not gonna keep playing a console which scratch my games to fuck. One reason im gonna buy a PS3 soon.
Also you think its worthy making a thread like this?
People dont buy the XBOX or PS3 because of Pro Evo they buy it for other games aswell.
