WENB says that all you need is a USB pen drive to upload, both machines will accept this theres no need for Xports etc.

Where's it say that

Dan

Options Files will be downloaded via PC and then transferred to the PS3 or Xbox 360 via USB Drive (Flash Drive).

Yay?

Cellini 16
11-10-2007, 15:13
yeah sufwan just confirmed it, it makes sense because i listen to mp3's through the usb ports on the front and my ipod, so its not a case of not recognising it as media? all they have to do is save it in xbox compatible file formats and job done!

:D Woohoo

Dan

This is the first I've heard of the 360 been able to read USB devices though. :erm:

Does this mean we'll have to have the USB drive in the 360 when we want to use the option file or does the option file overwrite the default one?

Cellini 16
11-10-2007, 15:21
try it yourself son, put your mp3/ipod into the front of the xbox and see what happens

as long as the file is in that format, there is no reason why that wouldnt work, Sufwan knows his stuff

Dan
11-10-2007, 15:23
Whoops, I made a mistake there. I have used a USB device to store videos and music on before and the 360 read them, what I meant is, I've never heard of the 360 been able to read game saves off of a USB device.

If that makes sense? :erm:

Cellini 16
11-10-2007, 15:25
ah right - well i must admit ive not done it either, but there's no logical or technical reason why it cant? Sufwan and co seem convinced that you can do this

man,all they need to add to make edit mode perfect would be like a pencil feature or something,so you could manually draw on kits, and even players i guess!this way the 2stripe template could easily be turned into 3stripes and say someone like bellamy or cisse, you could draw the tatoos on them.just a thought.

well phsyed now

You do all know that Microsoft have banned option files being transferred to the 360 don't you? It's to combat online cheaters/modders apparently.....

how can that product be advertised like that then?

CRISSGRAN
23-10-2007, 16:09
You might be able to use it for other games, but Microsoft announced 2 days ago that they were banning option file transfers for PES, don't believe me, check out the xbox site.

yup, I heard that too. The in game editing is supposed to be so shi**y though - are there any alternatives for 360 owners besides buying Fifa?

But surely everything defaults when you play PES online?

Martin Trick
23-10-2007, 17:06
microsoft hardly ever do anything about cheaters trust me. if they ban people for using option files then thats just well and truly sad but i doubt it, i mean why would a product like a transfer kit be allowed to sell if they didnt want people to use option files...

CRISSGRAN
23-10-2007, 18:11
It's official though, you can't transfer PES option files to the 360 and to answer the other guys question, the Edit mode is fine, like the PS2's used to be, a couple less options, but the main ones are there, so editing it yourself would be the option besides Fifa. 360 and PS3 titles are identical, apparently PS3 havent banned option file usage because their online is still in it's infancy where as Xbox live is well established, but Sony may do the same in the future.

I'm sure a standard USB Flash Drive will work. When I use the PS3 w/wirless connection and when it's time to have a software update, I just download it on the PC, save it on the USB drive then plug into PS3 and voila, it works.

If I'm correct then to get an option file on the PS3/360 will be the same procedure as above. I have a 1gb drive and I heard the option file is 1.2mb?! (it'll fit) If so..

That's fantastic news.. for the first time ever I can actually play with all proper kits, names etc. :D

24-10-2007, 12:53
what good is that if theres nothing good to upload anymore. You can only put 22 faces and like 30 kits

I am dissapointed at the 2 stripe template

Apparently, once you've applied the photo to a kit or a face it stays there, you can then delete it from the photo slot and continue making new ones. Sounds like you can do an infinite number. Fingers Crossed!

I think I read it on evo-web, the person who said it had the game and it was confirmed by someone else. The emblems that get shown on team select and at the beginnings of matches cannot be edited however.

I know you are talking about flash drives / USB sticks but I was just wondering whether if you could get the option file on your PC, cant you then transfer it directly to your 360 if you has a USB wire going from the PC to your XBOX?

I have just tried it. I have a few teams with the correct kits on the 360. I scanned them myself. I had Man U with the correct Kit . I then started to do Liverpool. I overwrit the Man U kit and used that for Liverpool. I went into an Exhibition and they both had the same scan.

So there are only 12 scans you can make . So you can Scan 3 teams fully incl golies home and away. Very Very Dissapointing .

Also you can not Edit the badges or the Premier League symbol.
