Thanks to the Time Expander (or maybe it's because of kitserver), tied matches in the demo now end in a penalty shootout, but I have a curious issue.

Whenever I correctly guess the direction of a penalty that goes to a low corner, it goes in anyway. For what I can make out when the camera switches to the striker, it hits the keeper's legs and goes in by the opposite post. I've guessed 4 of these penalties so far, and I've conceded this way every time. Kind of frustrating. It's as if the keeper dives almost too early and gets to the corner before the ball. Maybe you have to time the diving now, or hit different buttons to throw your body nearer or farther? I really don't get what's going on with this.

I wouldn't know man because i've only ever had a 5 minute match, but having won and conceded a couple of penalties (fairly) the camera did my fucking head in.

It just happened to me again during a penalty in the middle of a match, so I could watch the replay. It's just what I thought, you dive and get there before the ball, so it hits the keeper's legs and goes in anyway. Quite a stupid way of fucking up penalties by KONAMI --if you shoot low and the ball doesn't go too near the post, it's going to go in, no matter what the keeper does.

Did they beta test this game? OK, OK, I'll wait for the full version.....

A curiosity: the AI HAS saved penalties like these coming from me, but I've never been able to save one of these coming from the AI. My shots to the low corner always go right by the post, whereas when the AI shoots like this, it goes half-way between the center of the goal and the post, and the keeper helps it in.

Does something smell funny here?

NOTE: No, I don't think it's cheating. Do you?

I guess I just dive too energetically then...
