import the two .bin files into cv_0.img using GGS.

this will update the Premier League team's emblems to the correct ones.

Install with Game Graphic Studio (GGS) version 7.1.8

in GGS open cv_0.img from the folder C:/Program Files/KONAMI/Pro Evolution Soccer 2008/img/ (click no in the box that pops up, it wants to separate all the files and makes things more awkward) scroll down the list of files on the left to the very bottom where you'll see flags_128x128_8092.bin and flags_64x64_8093.bin, back up both of these by right clicking on them and exporting to a folder. Now, right click again on either one and click on "Import a file over this one" now find the .bin files you downloaded and you're done.

i gave clear details on how to install this in the PC version, which is what it is for.

You can't edit the internal files of the game on the Xbox as that would require writing the files to the DVD, this is just common sense.

but i have a little problem, the file flags_128x128_8092 doesn't exist in my cv_0.img... i just find one called flags_128x128_1280 and another called flags_128x128_1277. any ideas?

yeh i've been making kits and boots since PES5 on other forums, i'm currently working on the new kit templates.

also looking at relinking the kits in game there will be no difference between the licenced and unlisenced teams, someone on evo-web has revealed how to relink the kits to premier league teams and it looks promising.

guys you have to download winRAR first from www.rarlab.com just download the trial version. Then extract the files from the emblem file. Then you can see the two flag files he is talking about and import over the last two unamed files.

Please excuse my n00bishness guys but i've followed these exact instructions,re-opened ggs and when i click on the last 2 bins i can see that the emblems are there.However when i start the game they are not.

So basically what i'm asking is do i need to rebuild the file in afs explorer or am i doing something wrong with ggs?

This might be of use to others, not too sure but here it is anyway.

I'm running GGS 7.1.8 and have it running on Windows Vista, when I initially ran this program everytime I tried to view the .bin files the images would look kinda funky is the best way to put it. So for anyone who has this set the compatibility to Windows XP (SP2) and also put a tick in Run as Administrator, then when you view the files you can actually see the thumbnails, and should then be able to import the modded .bin files easier.

right this is the last time i try to explain to you, because you're clearly an idiot.

You have just proven that my patch wasn't the only thing you changed because my patch can't possibly change the name of the league to "premier league" it only included the 2 bin files which contain flags and emblems, the league name has to be hex edited from a bin file in cv_1.img

you've clearly changed something else in the game, be it the option file or another file that includes the team names.

How can you not see that reinstalling the files from the original would get rid of any possible problems? you only change two files, this patch doesn't affect any other file in the game, and it can't possibly change any other file in the game so it's not the cause of your problem.

I could say the same, AFS explorer can be quiet difficult to use, if your one of them use GGS (Game Graphic Studio)..it makes life much easier and does exactly the same..but better! (imo)

These works great except for one thing...

The small icons dont work when i select the team. The big ones do though. Even if i load up the .bin file again, i can see the updated logos... But when i load the game the old ones are displayed...

Ok i download GCS although its version GCS716, per a later post.
I then follow the C://Program Files directions. When I get to img it opens up files that start cs.img and finishes rv_s.img . I dont see the flags 128x128 etc. What am i doing wrong?
