-If you need more space for a file. There's a button with a hammer and some rainbow colors around it. If you hover over it it should say 'Modify reserved space...
-You should click this button. Then click regenerate. It will also ask to save. Same steps as second instruction.
-Now you have have to open the new *.img file that was created and insert the file that was too big.
-After that's done you need to replace the original *.img file with the new one you've created in img folder.

sorry for all that posts it was my fault dont know why but the files i had from winrar the unread..838 and others had a wrong size so i dowload again did all as you wrote and was simple 5 minuts and done.

I'm stuck! I've downloaded the file and AFSExplorer. I've tried to followe your pics but partly the fact I can barely see them mixed with the fact that AFSExplorer closes when I get as far as clicking on your option file (which is winrar format) means that I can't get it to work. Apparently you're gonn have to make it even more idiot proof for the likes of me. Seriously though, any help would be appreciated.

haha, that's funny. You have to extract the files then apply the folders. It will be better to import by folder using AFSExplorer. So you will open cv_0.img then click on the Import folder button. Then choose cv_0 folder.

With the Option File you just replace or put it in your save folder.

I know I did something wrong, but I am not sure what. I think I did everything in this thread. I managed to replace your files with the ones in the img folder. The problem is now the game is crashing. I think it has something to do with the cv_1.img file. When I tried to replace the three files, it said there was not enough space. So I clicked on the Hammer button, but it still didn't help. So I manually increased the three files and pressing + a few times. I copied your files over and there was no problem after that. Would you happen to know what I did wrong or why is my game crashing?

You can put PES2008_EDIT01 in there but you wont get Emblem, flags, and Kits. I'll do another pic tuto later with AFS.

Ok, I redid everything, including reinstalling the game. It works now. I just want to check. Are all the transfers done for the EPL? I do not see kenwyne jones on Sunderland. Also, the TRinidad team, what happened to Stern John, Dwight Yorke, Chris Birchall, Kenwyne Jones, and Jason Scotland? But overall, good work. Is there a way I can get Kenwyne Jones in there? I created a person, but I can only buy him in ML

Ok this will sound stupid but i've NEVER used AFSExplorer in my whole life so i don't even know how to start. Can anyone post a step-by-step tutorial here? I read the one Firefx posted but it was too brief for an AFSExplorer beginner like me. I mean, it didn't even ask me to rebuild whatever.... =(

Click yes and save to different place under different name.

but then I get a messsage about not enough space and something about reserved space and then it goes all weird and I get confused.

heres a quick copy and paste of what i've posted in a previous thread, seem to have helped someone out, hope it helps you too:

I'm only offering an extensive explanation on how to use this program because I have found many users unable understand how to operate it (myself included).
There may be a simpler way of doing this, but after a few days of getting to know how to use it, this is the best i can come up with.

1.Open afs explorer, and click on
File>Import AFS Files

2.When the Open Dialog Box appears, click on 'All Files (*.*)' on the 'Files of type:' drop down menu.

3.Now find your .img file in your PES2008 directory, it would ask if you would like to rebuild file, if you decide to do so, remember to save it as a .img (click on 'All Files (*.*)' again) in another location (with the same name as the origial file).

4.When everything has loaded, try importing the edited .bin files again (drag & drop from folder to a file listed on the program is possible, but make sure you drop it on the appropiate file), it would would ask if you would like to reserve space, click yes.
If it fails, another error message would appear.

5.If this is the case, click on the hammer icon with the rainbow gradient background (leaving your mouse over the button would show 'Modify reserved space...')

6.A new dialog box would open, and on the right you would see colour coded numbers only for the file(s) you wish to edit (colour for other files remain black). These numbers indicate the reserved space that is going to be availible after this process (the reserved space is automatically altered only for the files you attempted to edit). If you wish to manually change the reserved space for a specific file, you may do so in the top right corner.

7.Once everything is done, click on 'Regenerate AFS!'. Rebuilding a new .img is required for this step (same as the rebuilding part in step 3).
Remember to save it as the original file name in another location.

8.Once the .img file is rebuilt, open it and you should now be able to import the .bin files you were previously unable to.

9.When the desired bin files has all been updated, close the program and backup your original .img in a safe location and place your new edited .img into the original PES2008 directory with it's orginal file name and you're done.

OK got it done already. Great patch. Don't really know how did i get it done actually. I just load up the default .img and then import the whole edited folder. Follow the on-screen instruction and voila. I don't seem to have the correct EPL team names though but that don't bother me much i could easily change them. Thanks!

I only have to report that the chelsea home uniform has a little "distortion" at the back of the short.
...For last, I was doing my searchs on the google and i found this site that also is workin on the EPL and bundesliga. The bad about their pack is that the numbers of the back are aways white and the numbers of the short are aways golden (no matter whitch edited team). But the good is that they already have some of the bundesliga teams and some of the national squads (like Germany, for example). So I hope it may help FireFX_EnDD to improve his welldone pack.

Hi, got it working. Seems it may have just been a corrupted downloaded or something. Deleted the whole rar file, re-downloaded, re-extracted it. Tried again and it worked first time.

I'm new to this stuff aswell but managed to figure it out after a while. To those it may help, here's what I did.

(May I stress before editing that you backup all your img files because I messed up originally and had to re-install!)

-------------------------------1-------------------------------

- Place the edited option file into your Konami save folder alongside your current one (E.g. Mine is my documents/konami/Pes 2008....)

-------------------------------2-------------------------------

- Open AFS Explorer
- Click "File"
- Click "Import AFS file"
- Select "All Files"
- Browse to the img folder in your PES2008 program directory and open cv_1.img (Make sure this is the one in your program directory - eg. C:\Program Files\Pro Evo.... NOT THE DOWNLOADED ONE)
- Scroll down to unnamed_27.bin and right click
- Click "Import File"
- Go to the downloaded cv_1 folder and select "unnamed_27.bin" and click OK
- Close AFS Explorer then open it again

-------------------------------3-------------------------------

- Click "File"
- Click "Import AFS file"
- Browse to the img folder in your PES2008 program directory and open rv_e.img
- Click "Actions"
- Click "Import Folder"
- Browse to the downloaded folders and choose the rv_e directory and import.
- Confirmation of importing completion.
- Click "Yes" to opening new file
- Wait for it to load then close AFS Explorer and open it again.

- Click "Import AFS file"
- Browse to the img folder in your PES2008 program directory and open cv_0.img
- Click "Actions"
- Click "Import Folder"
- Browse to the downloaded folders and choose the cv_0 directory and import.
- "One or more files need more space than they have reserved. You need to rebuild the AFS file to insert them. Do you want to rebuild the AFS file"
- Click "Yes"
- Change File type to all files
- Name your new file *.img (I chose cv_0_2.img)
- Starts to rebuild
- "AFS regenerated successfully! Now files will be updated"
- Click OK
- Confirmation of importing completion.
- Click "Yes" to opening new file
- Wait for it to load then close AFS Explorer
- Go to your PES2008 program folder and delete your cv_0.img file (Assuming you have already backed it up)
- Rename your newly created img file (in my case cv_0_2.img) to cv_0.img.

- Now start the game and you should have all the correct names, kits & emblems!

There are 40+ hidden wellknown bundesligaplayers in the game. In combination with the players from the national teams this means that FireFX_EnDD doesn't have to create every player from scractch. Especially the big teams sometimes allready have a lot of players available.

Have you finished Werder Bremen, Borussia Dortmund, Hamburger SV, Schalke 04 and VfB Stuttgart because the kits for those teams are available and those teams are the only teams most people are interested in with maybe Bayer Leverkusen also. Maybe it's a better idea to add other european top teams who play Champions League and UEFA Cup instead of the Bundesliga. There are more Bundesliga projects after all.

dam, only just realised that these PES2008 default teams (Team A to R - or new Bundesliga) cannot be used in the Master League, was going to wait for a future Championship patch to start the ML properly...

hey guys please help me! i some how guessed and installed the patch located on the first page which is in fact the first message.... i got the game yesterday and im relatively new to this PES 08 editing and stuff.... now after the patch was installed sucessfuly the damn game is in german i guess! i mean commentary is in english as it was the only language i installed! now please tell me how to fix that out! i dont wana do everything from a scratch give me the shortest way to fix that english thing!

when you say the game is in german, do you mean the interface, menu, etc.
or do you mean the player names, teams, etc?
