SUCCESS!!!! swapping xbox 360- pes 2008 option files

This is a couple copies of the posts i left on another forum as i cant be bothered to write it all again-

IMPORTANT!!!! on the subject of swapping option files gets your console banned, i have just gone into my xbox 360 dashboard and found that EVEN on there my kit saves and edits are shown seperate from my option file!!! So I reckon we could all quite easily download files from each other, we don't need each others options files anymore... just the PES2008 EDIT file and the PES 2008 UNIFORM files !!!! have a look for yourself I will try transfering kits to my son's xbox account later and see if it works okay.

IT WORKED!!!!! First off i tried just sending a couple of kits to my sons memory card to mix with his photos and edits he had already, this did not work. So i wiped all his kits and edit files out of his folder and just left his option file in there. I then transfered my edit file and all my photos to his 360 memory card, turned the xbox off, removed my harddrive and left his memory card in, signed in as him, started the PES game, went to settings/load, then went to the edit section and selected load. I checked all the names and kit changes and they were all updated, checked for the kit photos and they were there in the SCAN section...... just had to pop them on the right shirts and VOILA!!!!!

I have 2 problems, one of which i fixed- problem 1. you go to load edited data screen and it says "there is no edited data to load" The FIX- go back to the dashboard select memory/pes2008 and the files will have 'unknown profile'... just click each file in turn and select 'move' and then select the destination as the same harddrive you are using anyway, the files then become signed with your profile and are loadable
PROBLEM 2. fixed, thanx to help from lenex
PS. edit and uniform files can be upload/downloaded in .GSX format with xsata or a cheap 360 memory card and the xploder usb cable/card adapter and software (360 'xploder cheat saves' can be found on eb*y for a tenner)

Great work. I have been trying to find this information out myself ever since hearing a rumour that you can't share files due to MS security. Obviously, you have just proved that incorrect with the successful transfer of the edited data file.

any way, i copied my edit data onto my MC, then took out my Hard drive, made a new profile up, and loaded the edit data and it worked.
before that though it said there was no edit data to load, so i just moved it to my MC, so it was linked with my profile.

A big thank you to posting this information. I had begun to lose hope that it would be possible for any of us to share an OF on the 360.

If anyone has any Kits for the 360 they are willing to share that would be great. I have had a go at using the Cam + work lap top, but the edges of the scan always go dark - a bit sh*tty really.

Look i'm not having a go at you in particular, it's just that there are are at least 20 posts a day moaning that there isn't an option file for 360, but if they were really that distraught that one hasn't been made, why not make their own

Don't forget, if you have followed all the steps and if it ever says , 'no edit data file to load' just go back to your card/ hard drive in your 360 dashboard and select 'move' and select the destination as the same card/harddrive it is on anyway. this assosciates the saveswith your user account instead of 'unknown'. ( you can then physically see your name appear next to it)

all the files that i transfered from one account to the other have now got the correct account holders name on them. Also I 'guess' Konami purposely kept the edit files seperate to the options file as this is the first time i have ever seen this...and i also 'guess thats why , in their statement, microsoft keeps just saying the word 'option file' swapping was banned, maybe it was a hint. Besides, the console blocks you from swapping the options file, but yet allows u to swap the edit files. everything points towards a big green light on the editing front. ( I also have 2x 360's if that helps :) and one of them never goes online :) )

WG0300, u put it on the memory card by buying the xploder cable and software. this cable links your card to your PC with a USB cable

PS. I know its very sad.... :blush: , but they are decent quality as i produced a squashed distorted jpeg, printed it on photo paper and photographed it with my live camera :blush: Making them squashed gets rid of the 'stretched look' when you put your images on a shirt. ( i have 8 of these squashed jpeg kit templates. lol)

Well, i didn't look at all of them properly, but from what i saw they were very well done, only the fact that the Chelsea kit had a coller, & a white chelsea away kit, but it's the best so far (well, the only so far!)

I appreciate you're gonna get a lot of requests but if either of you fancy sending me your excellent kits I would very much appreciate it.

i am gonna watch argyle v sheff wed this weekend, but apart from that i am free, so I may do some more edits, so far i have all premiership kits and team names from the in game editor, 4 photo kits, 4 national teams with names and the germany kit edited. was trying to do the bulgaria and hungary kits but couldnt find any close ups anywhere. i also have 4 more jpeg templates to photograph. Just make me feel a bit of a pr*ck when the wife walks in the front room to see my mini xboxcamera photo studio. LOL

download them.. to your PC, put them in your game saves folder, turn on your xploder software, plug in ur 360 memory card and usb converter cable, transfer them to your memory card (this turns them back from .GSX to .bin) take out your memory card, put memory card in xbox, go to dashboard, delete your existing edit and uniform files just leaving your option file, copy the new edit and uniform files from your memory card to the hard drive, remove memory, play game, check the edit screen to see if changes occured, if so play... if not do this fix-go back to 360 dashboard, open hard drive files, look for pes saves, if they say 'unknown' next to them- select copy and then select the same hard drive they are on anyway and your xbox user name will appear next to them.. now they will work.

PS. there is only room for 8 'real/photo kits' but obviously all the rest of the kits can be edited to look sufficient in the 'in game editor' by the person who uploads the file. ( i did germanys new kit with the in-game editor just now and it looks A1 apart from the badge)

Hmm... I am pretty sure memory sticks and mass storage devices such as memory sticks, phones, cameras, mp3 players etc.. can only link with an xbox to send media, not game saves... but i am not 100% sure on this.

last time :) - xploder cheat save, ebay £10 or play.com. ( box contains a usb cable with socket on the end to plug your memory card into and the software needed to transfer it to-and-fro the memory card and PC)
As for the download, no one has uploaded one yet, i sent one to lenex that i had created (which worked, yey!!) but the editing is only partially done on that one.

yeah give him credit, the main ones I think seem to be fileshare and megaupload I think, dont know if there free though

these files are in gsx format i guess they only work with xploder

in saying that anyone who has the datel transfer kit you can use the exact same formula an transfer the same files in the offical .bin format an it works the same

there is no "option files " the option file on the xbox 360 is the save game an achivement files u will get banned if u share these

does using the xploder/any game cheats device, effect your game achievemnets at all? i've heard with some games that these things automatically lockout gaining any achievements. If this isnt the case i'm def interested in using these files.

TO YOU ALL!!! :) I will do LOADS more editing this weekend and upload a much more complete file for monday, No moaning though about peoples hairstyles and boots and stuff :) as i am only gonna edit what i can source info on in the time i have (and i have flu :( ). here is what i am aiming for-

-all premiership kits done with internal editor,
-8 real photo kits (manux2 arsenalx2 liverpoolx2 chelseax2) but as lenex said when i sent him 4 photos- only 2 worked at first, the rest started working later :)
-all premiership team names.
-transfers- Yakubu to everton
-international player names corrected (as much as i can do in that time)
-many International kits corrected (maybe not all)

I will upload this in GSX. format if somebody can point me to a free upload site.

Nah, no badges or sponsors in the kit editor, only with the photo kits. But with all the ludacriously bad 'fake kits' given to us in the premiership and some of the international teams, a little bit of editing goes a long way.

All i did was copy all the screenshot files, along with the edit file to the HDD, before that i was just loading it off my MU, to keed MY edit file because i did all the Prem transfers.

They wern't too bad the badges looked a bit poor, but very good for first attempts, & things will only get better!

oh & is that the Chelsea 3rd kit, as i prefer that one.

i just bought an xport and am having the same prob as it wont let me transfer the files to my hard drive cause the files are still gsx. i think the best thing everyone can do is buy the xploder thingy and do it exactly how gsmith has done it and then we can all get on with playin pes 2008 with real prem kits.

delete the uniform.bin and edit. bin files from your memory , just leaving the 76kb options file. Now download my bin files and drop them in your PES folder to sit in their place

so i dont need a memory card with my xport.yeehaa..im going to try this tomorrow.so i delete the uniform and edit bin files from my 360 hard drive,just leaving the option file.then load up my xport and 360 hard drive and transfer my new bin files onto my xport.then hook up my hrd drive onto my 360,put in pro evo and that should be it.fingers crossed guys.thanks so far for all ur help.ill keep u posted.lolol:blush:

hi guys.i came home from work and tried my xport copying.i set my xport up and after halk an hour getting used to the xport i eventually put the kits onto my hard drive.the xport really is so easy to use.i fully recommend getting one.thanks again guys for ALL ur help and replys.im off to enjoy my new option file now.:) :)

Yes, but only 2 of the 'photo kits' show when usinfg the memory card as the main drive... although all the other edits work.

you can get a 360 xport from amazon.30 quid and all u need is a hard drive 360.u dont need a memory card for this option file.well worth it

yeah, with a PC not a laptop though. As you would have to take one of the spare power connectors from inside to power it (theres a molex socket on the side)

can u tell me where i can get the actual kit updates file 4 xbox360 from This is a couple copies of the posts i left on another forum as i cant be bothered to write it all again-

IMPORTANT!!!! on the subject of swapping option files gets your console banned, i have just gone into my xbox 360 dashboard and found that EVEN on there my kit saves and edits are shown seperate from my option file!!! So I reckon we could all quite easily download files from each other, we don't need each others options files anymore... just the PES2008 EDIT file and the PES 2008 UNIFORM files !!!! have a look for yourself I will try transfering kits to my son's xbox account later and see if it works okay.

IT WORKED!!!!! First off i tried just sending a couple of kits to my sons memory card to mix with his photos and edits he had already, this did not work. So i wiped all his kits and edit files out of his folder and just left his option file in there. I then transfered my edit file and all my photos to his 360 memory card, turned the xbox off, removed my harddrive and left his memory card in, signed in as him, started the PES game, went to settings/load, then went to the edit section and selected load. I checked all the names and kit changes and they were all updated, checked for the kit photos and they were there in the SCAN section...... just had to pop them on the right shirts and VOILA!!!!!

I have 2 problems, one of which i fixed- problem 1. you go to load edited data screen and it says "there is no edited data to load" The FIX- go back to the dashboard select memory/pes2008 and the files will have 'unknown profile'... just click each file in turn and select 'move' and then select the destination as the same harddrive you are using anyway, the files then become signed with your profile and are loadable
PROBLEM 2. I transfer 4 photos each time and yet only 2 of them are showing in the scan section????? anyone got a fix for this? i am guessing u need to have made you need to have created the same amount of photos with that gamer profile previously so that it shows on your options file, so maybe the answer is create 9 quick trash photos yourself and then download the 9 good ones and wipe yours... gotta try this yet though .

PS. edit and uniform files can be upload/downloaded in .GSX format with xsata or a cheap 360 memory card and the xploder usb cable/card adapter and software (360 'xploder cheat saves' can be found on eb*y for a tenner)

One question for you though, ive got the xploder and all the software and downloaded the files you had. Ive set up everything but when i click " transfer to memory card" nothing seems to happen in the xploder software, can you help at all please? Im not sure whats wrong with it, ive tried to look on the xploder website for help but it doesnt seem to answer my question

Do you or anyone else know if there are any tools available so that we can edit the "edit" file on the pc rather than using the "in game" editor. Its takes frikkin ages using the console editor and if someone could crack reading the .bin or .gsx edit files it would be really useful to have a pc tool to do stats editing this way. Konami are useless when it comes to stats!!!
