cool, iv got one quesion thought and may sound stupide. dose the ps2 ver play on ps3, i prefer the ps2 ver so wantin to know if it playes on the ps3 if so im gettin it

yeah you can play ps2 games on ps3

aslong as youve got the 60Gb version, the new 40Gb have no backwards compatability.

The PESFan PS2 v1 Option File contains:


Corrected Team names
Corrected Stadium names
Corrected League/Cup names
All player and team names in lower case, including PES Shop, Classic AND Master League youth players
Up to date transfers
Corrected National Kits for all countries, many including correct logos
Plenty of sponsor and manufacturer logos
Bundesliga Emblems included
All shop items LOCKED
50000 PES points
Duplicate players removed


If you would like to keep stuff from your current file, then use the excellent PES2008 Editor (http://forums.pesfan.com/showthread.php?t=184976) by Compulsion to import items such as kits from one file to another :)

This file was put together in a couple of days so it will contain some mistakes.

Yeah, I think they got a slap on the wrist last year, and after that they've been very cautious of getting involved with copyrighted PL material. Some of the national team kits are good though, so it would be nice if someone improved the pesfan file by including correct kits and names for the PL. Also, I like the fact that they've changed the names to lower case letters, looks much better that way.

I've created the cd, but it won't boot ....... do I need a mod chip for it to work or what am I doing wrong ?

your supposed to put it on a max drive if you have a ps2

So it's max drive for PS2 & CD for PS3 ? or what is the CD for ? so you can't use the cd on a PS2 ?
I believe I can use an ordinary USB pen with the .max file on it (if it is formatted to fat32) and the max drive cd to boot from. Is this correct ?

how come other of's have correct PL names, not as though its hard to solve, takes all of 5 mins to correct

this one got no premiership kits but bongoz have but still no german team/kit!!

check mine one out, got full prem kits/players and 75% german team/kit and also Heart, Aberdeen and Shak Doneskt, 95% players name are in lower case.

You need a chipped/modded PS2 to boot the bin/cue version.

Not sure about that. I've not yet read of the method needed to do this correction yet so if it's posted a few times around here, more people (like me) will see how it's done. Ta.
