I've seen you double post Sweey :ninja:

Have you seen double posts hours after I made them? Nope. You've seen them in the split second before I merge them which counts for nothing :tongue:. Normal users can't merge posts so need to work around that by deleting their initial post if possible or editing it. I purposely make a new post and then merge the two in order to put an update time-stamp on the post.

Which I actually got wrong as there was sufficient time between posts so apologies :doh:. We allow four or so hours as a one-off but if it happens with alarming frequency will then book people.

It's a fucking booking on an internet forum, no worries. :laugh:

Clamping down on double posts is ridiculous tbh. The amount of shite that gets posted on here by just complete morons which no-one blinks an eye at, then the idea of getting 'punished' for posting two good posts consecutively.

Not that I give a shit really, just think you lot have got your priorities wrong.

We book what we see. We can't read every single thread or every single post so if you can't be bothered to report things you see, the blame also lies with you.

The double posting rule has always stood so good quality or not, it isn't tolerated and people who break it are booked rightly.

If anything, mothers are sacred. I can understand you want to wish a horrible death upon Harry Redknapp, but that is all in good jest. His mother was ill at the time (or already dead), you can't just say 'it's bad taste'.

Why would you wish death upon someone who is already dead, or battling a life threathening disease? A little class isn't too much to ask is it?

Well...MrConsistent and My Time not only shared the same IP (which means the same ISP AND living in very close proximity), they also shared their date of birth. They also both have email addresses at live.co.uk and didn't access the site at the same time - MrConsistent registered in April and last logged in back in July while My Time registered in October.

What does that make you think?

I would like to offer my services to the "Village of the banned" thread. I would update whenever a member is yellow carded if the apppropriate admin alerts me to the reasons.

I like this thread, and would like to see it updated more regualrly to stop members wondering why their favourite slice has been banned.

He's posted about 40 times in the Banned Users section. IP addresses don't lie, they can't. He said he'd leave it alone if we didn't allow him back and understood our position. We've now ALL agreed he can't come back and look at what he's doing.

Doesn't matter. Its a rule against consecutive posts in the same thread when less than around four hours has elapsed.

If someone accidentally double posts and edits their second post to state they've made a mistake and to ask for the second post to be deleted, we're not draconian enough to book them for that so never consider an accident a booking you can't avoid.

An issue has been discussed between myself and one other admin and the following has been decided regardless of the fact we both like two of the members affected by this decision. I take absolutely no satisfaction from doing this.

Bans are being given to Santino M (permanent, My Time re-registering), Joel and Bishop (seven days, knowing he had re-registered and neither telling an admin nor discouraging him).

Let me making this absolutely clear for ALL of you:

-My Time DID hack Nickpring, there is IP address proof and that technology CANNOT lie. Whether he is responsible for the hacks to Nifty and Miggy is frankly irrelevant.
-My Time has repeatedly spammed the Banned Users area, claiming he will accept any decision but then repeatedly posting (up to ten consecutive posts at a time) when we've said he won't be back.
-My Time was instructed not to return to this forum and we will be taking this matter up with the police.
-My Time had AT LEAST one previous account.
-Any denials whatsoever from any of the members will be dealt with severely.

In addition, the usernames seemingly related to My Time are the following:

Arjento
arsenal fc
Bolloxmasta (questionable association but certain overlapping)
Emit Ym
glentoranfc
MrConsistent (I knew this already)
My-Time
My TimeII

For being aware that a user banned permanently for hacking another member had come back and not finding issue with that.

Never knew Tubes Is God was My Time also, I remember him posting. Anyway well done for dealing with this so well Sweey and the other admins and it's good this has all been sorted out.

Well, Tubes is God isn't definitely My Time but there are so many IP addresses matching that it appears far more than a coincidence and would also explain a particular point that I'd been wondering over the situation.

Joel's ban is to be reduced by a day due to a very small fact I was unaware of.

Why did Bishop get banned?

An issue has been discussed between myself and one other admin and the following has been decided regardless of the fact we both like two of the members affected by this decision. I take absolutely no satisfaction from doing this.

Bans are being given to Santino M (permanent, My Time re-registering), Joel and Bishop (seven days, knowing he had re-registered and neither telling an admin nor discouraging him).

Let me making this absolutely clear for ALL of you:

-My Time DID hack Nickpring, there is IP address proof and that technology CANNOT lie. Whether he is responsible for the hacks to Nifty and Miggy is frankly irrelevant.
-My Time has repeatedly spammed the Banned Users area, claiming he will accept any decision but then repeatedly posting (up to ten consecutive posts at a time) when we've said he won't be back.
-My Time was instructed not to return to this forum and we will be taking this matter up with the police.
-My Time had AT LEAST one previous account.
-Any denials whatsoever from any of the members will be dealt with severely.

In addition, the usernames seemingly related to My Time are the following:

In an ideal scenario, it wouldn't be because the user would edit the second post and request it be deleted while moving all of the contents from that second post into the first post via editing.
