You should explain the question more.
So it makes sense.

You want to make a tournament in PES2 like SWOS?

NO!!! what i mean is that in the next WE7/ PES 3 it will be a feature called "Creation Tournament" that is similar to "SWOS" ...and my question is : what kind of tornament is this ( SWOS TOURNAMENT) ? Thanks in advance!!!!!!:D :D :D

Zygalski

We all hope there will be a create tournament feature.
We can only wait and see.

SWOS was the game called Sensible World Of Soccer, mostly for the Amiga but also for PC which had almost every club and national team in the world and lots and lots of competitions!

I think he's saying that he's heard there's definitely a "Create Custom Tournament" option in PES3, similar to the option of the Create Custom Cup option in SWOS.

He wants to know what kind of Cup(s) it will be possible to create by using this feature?

I personally don't know about the new game too much, but I presume all the details are very sketchy so far?

I am beginning to understand.
You are multi-lingual and know much of other tongues, master Nifty.

It wouldn't be too hard to make. Either they are lazy or don't know how.

There should be 4 basic options.
Club cup, national cup,
club league, national league.
(and maybe a mixture too if you want)

With different options in there for every possibility.
That would be grand.

Sounds like it was pretty good game in its time.Every club and National Team no getting board. ;)

SWOS was the greatest rendition of the game of football ever to grace any platform, by a street. The only game that came close was CM 97/98, but SWOS takes the biscuit as it is on a truly global scale.

Nigerian Second Division indeed...:D

I think a game is lacking if it does not have Custom cups and Leagues.I think PES 3 and WE 7 wil have this feature though.

I wouldn't get too excited about the pics, this game was made in 1996, originally for DOS. The graphics, by any moderate standards, are terrible, but for many the game will live on in memory as outstanding thanks to playability and the fact that something like this hadn't been done before.

And I think you'll find PES/WE games are already top of the industry.

A SWOS player in all his glory!

http://frutsel.terrainhost.com/frutselapp/dump/Zygalski/swos.gif

Masterpiece.

(BTW, In SWOS, I only pretty much played with the teams that are in PES2.
Apart from taking Walsall from Division 3 to winners of the Champions League!)

andremc11 is the one trying to add to his posts number, not me.

But I'll go up and copy the description of SWOS if you say please!

There have been many posts where you simply reply with a line or less. In my view thats spamming. But it's MY view. I don't need you to copy up the description, I asked a simple question was it so hard to give me a simple reply without the 'witty' and sarcastic remarks?

I have been replying to someone else's post 99% of the time. It's my choice not to write an essay. Most of the time it is a conversation.

Besides, if you have looked around, I've already said I'm not looking to try to win the higest post thing.
So ignore my posts number if it's giving you such a complex.

Can you explain how you can join in a discussion about something without bothering to read all the previous posts to it?

You do not post 99% of the time directly to other's post. That's crap. But I wont start an argument. Your not worth it. Your post number does not concern me, more the fact you deny you spam the boards. You can join a conversation in anyway you want.

Im not telling you what to do rather what I think.

I don't agree but that's your opinion.
If I'm not in the high post competition it's irrelevent anyway.

Maybe you could avoid all this and just scroll up like everyone else does. What makes you so special that you shouldn't have to read everything and just expect to be told what is going on?

I asked or rather meant what was SWOS like as a game? I have never said I special enough to ignore reading all the posts. Again, stop putting words into my mouth.

Are you saying that your not in the running for the PES3 game?

My opinion is my opinion, but deep down you know it's right.

Zygalski
24-05-2003, 10:39
Deep down, no you're not right.
No I'm not in the running (as we know this is the reason you're upset).

SWOS is a cute little game which included a whole lot of leagues and involved playing matches using the little player which I have put in the picture for above (please do scroll up as I'm not putting one here againjust for you).
It didn't look great but was a lot of fun for lots of football fans.
If you have any direct questions about the game, ask them.

Can you stop trying to argue all the time?
Just chill man!

Actually I have the money prepard for the game.

I'm not upset more amazed, that you cannot see your spam the boards. Anyway, I would rather not waste my time arguing with you and although it's a public board see here now that you can officially not reply to any of my post so as to avoid any future arguments.

Zygalski

You might not need to spend money on SWOS.
Go to the other thread about SWOS to find out about that or ask there.
And the game has an old database so it may not be that good to play for the first time now.

You started all the arguing not me.

And it's quite audacious to accuse me of spamming and not saying anything about andremc11.
Not that I have anything against the guy, just the way he is posting.

(It's very acrimonious ;) )

Lets agree to keep to the idea in my post above.

Yes, that makes perfect sense.

I do not go around looking for arguments.
But if someone says something which is wrong or I don't agree with, they will probably hear something about it.

Again your use that thing that your mom gave you. Your brain. Although it was not plainly obvious I was talking about PES3, I was. You are obviously a 'smart guy' so rather than insulting ask a question so that you can found out what I mean.

Yet again if you do not reply to my posts then we can't argue.

Zygalski

Well, since we've been talking about SWOS all this time, it does make sense to think you are talking about the same thing if you don't mention PES3 at any point, which you didn't.

If I don't reply, it may seem as though you are talking correctly which in most cases you are not. Ignorance spreads that way.

I began to say I had money prepared for PES3 simply because you are stressing about me and the fact that I disagree with you on a number of things i.e, your spamming of the boards.

If you cannot take criticism don't give it out.

I haven't told you to stop posting, like you seem keen on telling others.

Perhaps you should think out your responses instead of jumping in to attack anyone.

Can you give me 2 examples of spamming?

My criticism was not directed at anyone look for yourself. But YOU took it on yourself to decide it was directed at you. In this thread I asked a question, all I needed was an answer but you began to maon.

If you also look back I mentioned I had money prepared because I quote:

You did tell me to stop replying to you.

You've explained what you had money for so fair enough.
Not many people would have understood the path of your thoughts so it's harsh to criticise for that.

If you hadn't been lazy, you could have found the answer to your question for yourself and avoided all this.

You're think you're the expert on what is spam and believe I do it all the time so go right ahead and show me..

It would be simple for you to stop replying too, but you are not and I'm not telling you to.

So if it is agreed that we are both going to buy PES3 (don't know about you but I will get it on the day it is released), why are you stressing so much about my posting?

I think the key to stop arguing is to use a certain amount of common sense, and to give and take.

To hope to agree with everyone on the board about every post they make is silly, unrealistic, and tricking yourself. The fact is that communicating clearly avoids much of the arguing/disagreement. If others know what you're talking about, then there's less chance they'll get it wrong and believe you were repeating.

e.g. "SWOS being?" You yourself said that you meant to ask "What is SWOS like as a game?" To me, "SWOS being?" sounds like you've never heard of it, and want to know what SWOS is. It's a computer game. Called Sensible World of Soccer.

If you had asked what SWOS was like as a game, I'm sure you'd have got the information you wanted from various people browsing the boards.

All of this spam talk is nonsense - you have to give some leeway to people and not jump down their throat because they make one post which seems to contain one irrelevant word somewhere in amongst it. The easy way to avoid confrontation is to ignore the "spam" post - not ignore the "spam" poster. To say you're going to disregard all of Zygalski's posts is a bit unfair - he was the first person I noticed when I came to this board who genuinely seemed helpful.

In fact, I've decided I'm going to disregard everyone's posts except my own, yes, that should solve the problem. I'll argue with myself. Go me!™

Feel free to turn round and tell me I'm spamming and this is irrelevant, because (a) I don't care, and (b) it's relevant because half of this topic has been about a disagreement about a post count. Big bloody deal.

On a lighter note, I managed to finish most of my AS-Levels yesterday. Wahey. :D

How did you get the 'TM'?

It's hard to ignore andremc11's posts as they are quite big.

A room full of mirrors may assist in arguing with yourself.
"You talkin' to me?!"

gooner, drop the arguement, this whole post is about the SWOS editor, so grow up, not everything has something to do with you, so butt out.

on a lighter note, the use of that in PES would be a lot cooler, but you can already sort of do it, just not the same extent.

Zygalski
25-05-2003, 02:55
ALVALADE XXI, the point about the tournament editor is big because the current options in the game are not very good.

You cannot play a league season with a club unless it is in the master league and the other options are very limited.

Many people have been asking for this option and will now be happy. This is why it is a big deal.

Lisbon67Seville03
25-05-2003, 03:01
will there be a league format similar to an international league for club teams in PES3? if so, will there be transfers?

Zygalski
25-05-2003, 03:05
It has been mentioned there will be a better custom cup and league editor so we hope this will happen.

Not sure of the transfers yet. If they change the current system so that national players are not linked to their club versions and fix the ability to change nationality/call name, it might be OK.
But a proper transfer system would be great.

Lisbon67Seville03
25-05-2003, 20:47
what about adding good players who arent at a club/nation(ie a few years ago after george weah left ac milan for man city?)would classic players be available?

Zygalski
25-05-2003, 23:19
There are some classic players in there already.
It just depends on who is considered good enough by Konami.
Paul Ince somehow doesn't seem like he should be in there but he is.

Lisbon67Seville03
26-05-2003, 21:34
why dont spain or scotland have classic teams. anyone ever heard of jim baxter, jimmy johnstone, or frank mcavennie, wait, scratch that last one. i meant tommy gemmill. and paul ine, was he ever really prolific in the england squad?
