The Nasri thing doesn't seem to be for certain. I read that his agent said that he hasn't had contacts with them. He'd be a great signing though.
In other news: It looks like i, most probably, will be editing Hleb's hair next season.

Apparently, Nasri was spotted near the Emirates stadium, but nothing has been confirmed. He's talking to other clubs too.
Unfortunately, I can see Hleb leaving, considering the Nasri situation. He's my favourite Arsenal player at the moment, but I know my mate will be delighted.

Doesn't it piss anyone else off that we're almost like a feeder club for the so called elite teams. I mean how many times has one of our top players left and it always seems we made no real attempt to keep the player at our club. Besides Henry we've let, Overmars go, Petit, Vieira, Cole now it looks like hleb without a fight really

You can add Anelka to that list aswell, but seriously how many of them have moved on to so called greater things and don't regret giving up what they had with us?
We make players it's a fact, if someone wants to fuck off and blow their careers then so be it, we get in a younger and improved version.

Because we're not winning trophies at the moment. If Utd had bottled the title against Wigan and had Terry not slipped then Ronaldo would already have one foot in Madrid.

5* THEO WALCOTT v Liverpool (Champs Lge - QF 2nd Leg - 2:2)
At a time when Arsenal needed a goal, Theo produced the goods. He got the ball from one box to another in no time, using pace and strength to go past numerous experienced Liverpool players. Super ball in too - made it easy for Adebayor.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=go4D...
4* ALEX HLEB v Liverpool (Lge - 1:1)
Holds up the ball neatly and plays a lovely chipped through ball, ripping apart a lot of red, Liverpool shirts. Fantastic vision and weight on the pass, perfect for Cesc to toe-poke past Reina.

3* BACARY SAGNA v Aston Villa (Lge - 2:1)
Sagna, under pressure, had to pick out Adebayor in the box from 6 Villa defenders. Did that with his first touch - a delightful ball, perfect for Adebayor who dispatched it. Great cross.

I fear Cesc will be next to leave the club if we go through ANOTHER trophyless season. It will also be interesting to hear what Cesc thinks about Flamini and Hleb leaving the club - they're close friends.
Hleb's agent has confirmed he will definitely leave the club.
We better get £16m+ for Hleb. Although it seems like we are going to sign Nasri, I'd want us to also get someone like Ben Arfa.

The midfield maestro was given the most important number in the team. The number 10 is traditionally given to the best or most creative players in a side and the Arsenal man will be hoping to pull all the strings for Luis Aragones' side as they hunt for Euro glory in Austria and Switzerland.
Most players have kept their numbers but Fabregas and Villa will be waring different digits below their names. The midfielder thus will no longer wear the number 18 which he wore during World Cup 2006.
The Catalan midfielder wore the number 8 when he made his international debut two years ago but he will not be able to take it as now it belongs to Xavi.
Fabregas would have loved to wear his Arsenal number 4 for La Seleccion but this will be given to Marchena with Ramos waiting to take it in future. The other slight change with the former Barcelona player is that he will have "Fabregas" printed as the name on the shirt rather than "Cesc".
Meanwhile Valencia hit-man David Villa will be wearing the number 7 jersey which belonged to Raul. The Real Madrid man was dropped by Aragones and thus his jersey is taken by Villa. The rest of the players keep the same numbers.
Here is a list of who the numbers have been assigned to:
1 Casillas
2 Albiol
3 Navarro
4 Marchena
5 Puyol
6 Iniesta
7 Villa
8 Xavi
9 Torres
10 Cesc
11 Capdevila
12 Cazorla
13 Palop
14 Xabi Alonso
15 Sergio Ramos
16 Sergio García
17 Guiza

MARSEILLE, France (Reuters) - Olympique Marseille playmaker Samir Nasri is to leave the Ligue 1 club and is interested in a move to Arsenal, his agent said on Tuesday.
Despite reports continuing to link Alexander Hleb with an imminent exit from Arsenal, the Belarus international has revealed his admiration for Arsene Wenger and claimed he has never publicly stated his desire to leave the club.

Anyway, never got a chance to see any of Seb at Arsenal, save the 1 game he had in the league against Bolton at left back when almost our whole defence was out and I don't think it's fair to judge him on that.
The times I've seen him for Birmingham he's seemed solid if a bit unspectacular - although has an excellent set piece on him and isn't afraid to shoot from distance (e.g. his stunner in the last minute at WHL).
His crossing is also a big strength, and with Viduka being fairly strong in the air and Owen seemingly still being able to find that all important space in the box he could link well with these two.
To be honest though, I think he's been mainly used on the right wing and I'm not sure he'd be an improvement on what you already have in Milner (also, now Keggy has switched to 4-3-3 I'm not sure HOW he'd really fit in to your plans).
If we continue with the 4-3-3 he could take Geremi's place I'm guessing as his legs are pretty much gone, and Milner is vastly overrated, he's a good squad player to have though. If he has any future in my personal opinion it's in the middle and not out wide.

esc Fabregas has pledged his future to Arsenal because he would 'love' to win the Premier League.
The Spanish midfielder starred for Arsenal last season as Arsene Wenger's young side narrowly missed out on domestic and European glory.
And that form is believed to have made Fabregas a top summer target of the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Milan.
However, the 21-year-old is adamant that he will not be following Milan-bound Mathieu Flamini or Alexander Hleb, who looks set to move to Internazionale, out of Emirates Stadium.
"I will stay at Arsenal," Fabregas said in The Sun. "My coach asked me and I told him he had my confidence.
"I'd love to win the Premier League and I am one of those players who fight for what they want until they achieve it."
Van Persie demands
Meanwhile, forward Robin van Persie believes Arsenal's wage structure is a reason why players are considering their future in North London.
The Gunners' top earners reportedly pocket £80,000 a week, while star players at Manchester United and Chelsea are contracted to £130,000, and Van Persie feels Arsenal must scrap their salary limit.
"Arsenal won't pay enormous amounts but should go to a higher level," added Van Persie.
"If a player can earn four times as much at another club, I can understand why he'd go elsewhere."
The Fabregas thing is very pleasing to hear at a time wheres theres so much unrest at the club .
Arsenal look set to complete their first summer signing by securing a deal for Marseille's Samir Nasri.
The Gunners have been tracking the French international for some time and are believed to be closing in on a £13million transfer.
The 20-year-old has long been regarded as one of the hottest properties in Ligue 1 and it will come as no surprise that he is set to test himself at one of Europe's top clubs.
The youngster is seen as the rightful heir to Zinedine Zidane's crown for his country and is expected to make a major impact at this summer's European Championship.
Interested
Both Nasri and Arsenal are keen to get the formalities of the move sorted before Euro 2008 gets under way, and the player's agent has confirmed that the deal should go through in the next few days.
"Arsenal's offer has caught his interest from a sporting point of view," said Jean-Pierre Bernes.
"In his career plan it is something very interesting for him.
"But he will be leaving Marseille. It will be done in the coming days."

He's been Birmingham's best player - and that's the views of Blues fans. A poor man's Beckham in some respects, but we're talking Beckham in his prime. Crosses well, scores goals and has very good fitness.
Was never going to get into the side due to the players like Ljungberg and Hleb being at the club but, dare I say it, he's a decent enough player for any club outside the top 4.

I'd be fucking delighted to see him back in time for September/October. He was really starting to look the business in a team that was playing quite poorly at the time I thought.
I still think we need another striker though - unless Wenger plays Vela solely as a forward. I really would rather we didn't have to endure this bollocks with him playing as a winger a la Walcott. Whilst I realise Wenger knows better than me, and has stated he believes that Vela should be played as a striker, it'd be typical of him to stick him out on the wing.
I'm resigned to Hleb leaving and quite frankly, as I've always said with any player who wants to go, good riddance. Up until this season he's been dog shite. Let's not kid ourselves. We all know that had we got £15m for him last summer we'd have laughed ourselves stupid as he was really at a make or break point in his career with us. His comments recently have been the most PR perfected comments I've ever seen. He's steered clear of effectively saying he wants to leave, without ever once saying he wants to stay. I'm hacked off with it. If he wants to go, fine, fuck off.
Having thought about things, from midfield upwards, I see a squad like this next year:
Gilberto
Diaby
Denilson
Fabregas
Nasri (although I'd be amazed if he wasn't converted into a winger like Hleb and Rosicky have been)
Rosicky
Eboue
Walcott
Vela
Bentdner
Adebayor
Eduardo
To me, that is just not good enough for a title challenge. I really do think we'll be far too weak down the middle. I'm sounding like Viperized at this point, but what with players seemingly losing patience at the lack of success, I really see next season as being a truly pivitol moment in Wenger's career. Any agree/disagree?

Sign a top winger and you have a good enough first eleven. Still would lack depth though.

I knew I'd forget someone. ;)
To be fair, it's more of a bonus when he's actually fit enough to play. You almost forget he exists.
I still think even with a single winger we'd struggle. You've got Walcott/Eboue/Nasri (possibly) down the right, with Rosicky and Diaby (well, he's been playing there anyway) on the left. Rosicky has glass hamstrings, whilst it'd be Nasri's first season, Walcott is too ineffectual at times and Eboue is a grade A cunt.
I reckon we need 2 wingers, a central midfielder (Yaya Toure please!) and a central defender capable of actually winning a bloody header, without being a complete and utter retard on the ball (yes, you Senderos).
Do you think Merida will get a look in this season?
There was some low level rumours that the Old Firm might be interested in taking him on loan but there wasn't much behind it. I think it would toughen him up physically and he'd probably be guaranteed a spot on the bench every week with the U21 rule in the SPL.

I'd be surprised if he does. He, along with Mark Randall, Henri Lansbury, Nacer Barazite and a few others are a year or two off being ready to either make the jump or end up being pushed.
I slag the league off rotten, although I rarely watch it, but is the SPL a league where teams get the ball down and play? If not, he'd be wasted.

I slag the league off rotten, although I rarely watch it, but is the SPL a league where teams get the ball down and play? If not, he'd be wasted.
Lol, completely the opposite - with Rangers especially.
Nasri for me will be a straight swap for Hleb. Wenger clearly wants to stick with the playmakers-on-the-flanks style, which is fine, but we were one winger short all of last season so we'll still need to sign another. Vela's played on the left all year for Osasuna, but I imagine he'll be a bit like Theo last season and shouldn't really be depended upon.
Centrally, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't buy anyone. Wenger seems like he'd be willing to chance it on one of Gilberto/Denilson/Diaby having a great season. Yaya, or anyone with a bit of experience really, would be brilliant, but I wouldn't bet on it.
I really see next season as being a truly pivitol moment in Wenger's career. Any agree/disagree?

Calm down
Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb has denied stating he wants to quit The Gunners this summer.
Hleb's future has very much been up in the air recently with his agent Nikolai Shpilevski claiming his clients wants to leave the Emirates.
However, Hleb has finally stated his position, firstly denying reports he wants to quit and also stating he is under contract for two more years.
The Belarus international has confirmed his love of Arsenal and that he greatly respects manager Arsene Wenger for all that he has taught him.
"I have a contract at Arsenal until 2010 and now only think of the game against Germany," he told Spox.com.
Nonsense
"I have also read [that I have said I want to leave], but I do not know who has written it. That is nonsense.
"I have also read that I wanted to move because Arsenal would win nothing, this too is nonsense.
"But I would really not like to comment on the issue really because there is nothing more to say, because the club means so much to me.
"I have learned so much from Arsene Wenger. This man has always supported me and given me the chance to come to Arsenal. I would therefore never say anything negative about Arsenal.
"If I'll go, then only in a different league, in any case, in England, there is only Arsenal for me."

Eduardo being set to return in July is simply brilliant. It's amazing how quickly he is currently recovering. There definitely isn't any need to buy any strikers seeing as we have enough now. Eduardo, Adebayor, Van Persie, Vela, Bendtner and even Walcott...
Does anyone think we need a new goalkeeper? Lehmann has already left the club and Almunia has made some serious blunders this season. Can we really depend him as a first choice keeper? The title winners usually have a top goalkeeper behind the defence.
We're still a winger short too. Selling Hleb (who hasn't had the most effective career at Arsenal if I'm being truthful. Statistically this is the case - he is definitely replaceable and a player such as Nasri in my opinion has a higher ceiling of talent) and buying Nasri doesn't change the squad numbers at all. Add to the fact that Rosicky appears to be permanently injured.

Yes Almunia is way to average for us, hes not a goalkeeper in my eyes whos going to pull off those wonder saves that win you games. Nor is he that keeper whos going to help us win the league. It seems like he'll be first choice next season unfortunately though :(
As for the swap deal for Yaya, I would bite Barcas hand off for that swap deal. As Hleb obviously wants to leave

He has a release clause of around 12.5m that we're activating, so Marseille don't really have a choice.

Arsenal are unlikely to complete a move for Marseille starlet Samir Nasri until after Euro 2008.
The French international tops the Gunners' wanted list, but negotiations are taking longer than expected.
It had been reported that the midfielder had already agreed terms at Emirates Stadium and would put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal before the European Championship gets underway on Saturday.
However, that scenario now appears to have been scuppered and Arsene Wenger must wait until the 20-year-old returns from international duty before finalising the deal.
"Nasri interests me," said the Arsenal boss.
Complicated
"I hope I will do it after the Euros. It is more complicated now because the wage differences (between the Premier League and Ligue 1) are not as big as they used to be.
"Just look at Karim Benzema. He is 20 and recently signed a new deal with Lyon.
"England is considered one of the two top leagues and the best players want to play against the best players."
Wenger has targeted Nasri as a direct replacement for the Barcelona-bound Alexander Hleb.
The Belarusian is expected to complete a move to Camp Nou in the next few days, with the £12million transfer fee helping to fund a move for his successor.

Various respected sources (and Myles Palmer...) say that the Nasri issue is down to legal issues and him being away in France, NOT due to wage problems. Apparently the good old press took two interviews and spliced them together and so when Wenger is speaking about the wage difference now being much more narrow between France and England, it is supposed to be implied that this means Nasri's wages are an issue.
It is very rare for Wenger to speak so much about a player before we sign him, so he must be pretty sure that it's legal formalities which will eventually be sorted out rather than not having agreed personal terms with the player.
I thought he already agreed personal terrms, it was just the paper works
Then neither's Hleb.

The Udinese starlet is one of the most highly-rated young defenders in Europe and he is being tipped to move on this summer.
The 21-year-old Colombian joined the Bianconeri in 2005 from Deportivo Cali and he has been a regular for them over the past three seasons.
Milan, Juventus, Internazionale and Fiorentina are all keen - but Arsene Wenger is also very much in the market to land the young central defender.
Arsenal are believed to have made their interest known with a deal just below £10million - but that is still someway short of meeting Udinese's valuation.
Zapata has four-years left on his contract at the Friuli and it is believed the club would only consider a deal starting at 20 million euros (£15.8million).
It now remains to be seen whether Arsenal will make a renewed attempt to land the South America - although skysports.com also understands that two further Premier League sides are considering making bids.
Failed bid but if we are going for CB i would have liked atleast minimum age 25yrs while i also feel helb is staying put.

What are your thoughts on him?I feel every time he has performed its been overshadowed by other events. He scored a nice second goal against birmingham city but wasnt noticed,he did very well against milan on both legs creating arguably the best chances on both legs.He did something amazing against a top team, champions league veterans liverpool but the cl exit took front page.
He is a good finisher as well seen him at it in england u21s,it may be against derby but the quality of the goal was good just like against chelsea and slavia prague. He seems to have good vision as well like he showed against aston villa to gilberto in his debut.
Also each and every year he has been under immense pressure when he was bought from southampton and brought to world cup.
He didnt have 1-2seasons like c.ronaldo to do whatever he likes until he steps up.Wenger bought him after being outpriced for rooney...........
If he is given as much starts as ade had last season in the upcoming season i feel he might immediately establish himself as one of the worlds best.........

Arsenal
Now this may seem biased, but in my opinion what Arsenal can offer Ramsey is quite unique in that it almost strikes the golden mean in Aristotelian style between the playing time advantage at Everton and the prestige of a huge club like Manchester United. Arsenal perhaps offer both, with a manager that has a proven track record in nurturing the very best young talent from around the globe. Arsene Wenger is a genius of his own kind; his philosophy and methods of running the club are different to any other manager in the world today.
I have written countless pieces on this website describing in detail how Wenger has revolutionised the world of football. His calm, youthful kaizen approach of development makes him unique and for that reason he will attract certain types of people and therefore certain types of players to the club. If Ramsey is that sort of person, then he will feel the chemistry with Wenger and play his heart out for the manager.
Also we should take into account the location of Arsenal Football Club. Again no disrespect to either Manchester or Liverpool since they are both beautiful cities with their own special atmosphere etc. However, London is one of the most famous cities in the world for a reason and Arsenal have built a masterpiece of a stadium for Wenger’s troupers to run around in. Ramsey can make some friends his own age and play in a team with them against the ‘adults’ of the other teams in the league. They can finish a Saturday afternoon game of football in front of 60,000 and then go home to Theo Walcott’s house to play Pro Evolution Soccer in HD on the Playstation 3.
It seems as if Ramsey has made a good choice taking into account all the other variables. Wenger had a personal talk with him where as Ferguson didn’t. Arsenal sent him on a private jet to Switzerland and United didn’t. Wenger can give the youthful exuberance of Ramsey more of a chance to play than United and feel confident that he will be in safe hands. And let’s not forget that Pro Evolution in HD at Walcott’s house after the match is a great lure for young Ramsey. I am still waiting for my invite.
Now for some Cescy action after Holland’s fantastic display yesterday. I hope you are all enjoying the summer where ever you are reading this, please share your comments on Ramsey in the comments section. Blessings all.

I was just thinking what a shame AW was so quick to dismiss the speculation - if Ade is looking for a move or demanding higher wages i would get rid and get Villa in, he looked the real deal last night albeit against average defending.
The tragedy is that Liverpool will come straight in with the money and put him up with Torres who he seems to be good pals with.
Maybe AW was trying to get him off the radar?! Wishful thinking.

Oh right lol..
Cesc Fabregas has said he would love to see his Spain team-mate David Villa playing at Arsenal.
Villa lit up Euro 2008 on Tuesday as he grabbed a sensational hat-trick in Spain's 4-1 demolition of Russia in Innsbruck.
Fabregas, who came off the bench to grab the fourth, says Villa would make a huge impact in the England League and he would love to see Arsenal sign him ahead of the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool - who have been linked.
"He would be amazing for the English league," Fabregas said of Villa.
"I would like to have him in my team because as you can see he can make the difference.
"He's an amazing player. He has mobility, he scores goals. He plays well at the back of defenders, in front of them, he's a tremendous player."
Fabregas himself was delighted to finally get his first goal for his country after 27 caps.
"It means a lot to me, the first goal in 27 games. It was time," said the Gunners midfield star.
The Arsenal ace also insisted that Spain will not be taking anything for granted after their opening success.
Spain started the World Cup two years ago in similar fashion when they hammered Ukraine 4-0 - only to bow out in the second round to France.
"We have to learn from mistakes like at the last World Cup, when everyone thought that we were going to win the tournament because of our victory against Ukraine 4-0 in the first game," he said.
"So, we don't want to get too excited and just go game by game and that's how we will win."

Arsenal line up Roque Santa Cruz as Emmanuel Adebayor asks for Milan move
By Giles Mole and Stefano Blin
Last Updated: 11:12am BST 12/06/2008
Arsenal are expected to table a £10 million bid for Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz if Emmanuel Adebayor gets his way and is allowed to join AC Milan.
# Arsenal homepage | Euro 2008 homepage
# Premier League Transfer Talk | Football fans' forum
Milan have admitted to making an official approach to Arsenal for Adebayor and reports in Italy say the 24-year-old Togo international has already agreed personal terms with the Italian giants.
Arsenal close in on Roque Santa Cruz
Hit man: Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz is wanted by both Arsenal and Manchester United
Adebayor is said to have told his agent, Stephane Courbis, that he wants to swap the Emirates stadium for the San Siro, where he would earn around £3m per season.
"We wrote to Arsenal to ask about the availability of Emmanuel Adebayor, but we didn't get a reply," Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani told Milan channel, the club's in-house television station.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is refusing to sell Adebayor and has slapped a £30m price tag on the player's head - a fee Milan are unlikely to match - but the African's will to leave could force a compromise.
What a lying cunt he is if this is true..

Milan have contacted Arsenal about a move for Emmanuel Adebayor and the player would be open to the move, according to his agent.
The Serie A giants have declared interest in the Togo striker on many occasions in recent months, but the player has repeatedly insisted he will be at Arsenal next season.
However, his agent, Stephane Courbis, was quoted in an Italian newspaper revealing that, should Arsenal accept a bid, the player would be interested in joining Milan.
"The player is fine at Arsenal, but when Milan come in for you it's difficult to tell them no," Courbis told Corriere dello Sport.
"I know that Milan have contacted Arsenal and now everything depends on what Arsenal want to do.
"I'm not an Arsenal director and so I can't say if the club have changed their mind about the player and (if so) why.
"I know that Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world and, when they want to take you, you have to really consider it. It's difficult to say no to Milan."
Youth
According to Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, the club has been given permission to talk to Chelsea star Didier Drogba and, amid reports his club are keen to offload the striker, it had been expected that that they would make the Ivory Coast star their main addition up front.
However, Courbis believes Milan would prefer Adebayor to Drogba as they want to inject some youth into their ageing squad.
"With Adebayor, Pato and Kaka, who in the world would do better?
"It's true that Milan have quite an old squad, but this is why they signed Flamini and that's also why they want to sign Adebayor, who is 24 years old, whereas Drogba is 30.
"This is what Milan wants."
Well like I said i'd take 25m +l plus for ade and bring in Villa simple as.

Milan target Emmanuel Adebayor appears set to stay at Arsenal following talks with Arsene Wenger over his future at Emirates Stadium.
Adebayor has been strongly linked with a move to Milan and his agent Stephane Courbis this week hinted that he would consider such a switch.
However, Wenger has always stressed that he does not want to sell Adebayor and the Togo international himself has also played down talk of an exit.
"My future with Arsenal has never been in doubt and I want to assure fans I will be here for many years," Adebayor said in The Sun.
"My agent has met with coach Arsene Wenger about a new deal and I am happy about how the talks are going so fans can rest assured."
Adebayor only signed a new deal last year but speculation suggests he could be ready to put pen-to-paper on a lucrative contract extension.
Reports in Italy have now stated that Adebayor's transfer to Milan has been shelved.
"For the moment we don't intend to open negotiations for the sale of Emmanuel Adebayor," La Gazzetta quoted a message from Arsenal to Milan as saying.
La Gazzetta also reported that Milan were willing to wait until later in the summer before renewing their interest, to give Wenger time to bring in a replacement.
This is turning into another Hleb incident.
I know, well our first summer signing is done Ramsey FTW!

Milan - Adebayor too dear
Italians baulk at at asking price
Milan president Silvio Berlusconi admits Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor could be too expensive for them.
The Rossoneri have made the Togolese star one of their prime striking targets and vice-president Adriano Galliani confirmed last week that they had asked Arsenal what they wanted for Adebayor.
Samuel Eto'o and Didier Drogba were also named and Milan could now look concentrate their efforts on the Barcelona and Chelsea strikers, after Arsenal reportedly placed a huge £30million price on Adebayor's head.
"I don't know whether he will wear our jersey," said Berlusconi when quizzed about The Gunners target-man.
"He costs a lot."
Not surprising they won't try bidding at this price. Lets be honest here... spending £30m on Adebayor is not the smartest of investments.
And how much we got him for?

Arsene Wenger backs Arsenal defensive corps.
Arsene Wenger may have backed his defenders when he said that Arsenal have no plans to strengthen the back four, but the Frenchman's nose for a bargain may result in additional defensive cover joining the club just the same.
Wenger was adamant in his denial that Vincent Kompany, the Hamburg centre back, would not be joining the club this summer despite admitting that he has been tracking the £10 million-rated player for a staggering six years.
Wenger backs Arsenal defensive corps
Target: Valencia's Raul Albiol may join Arsenal this summer
"I have been interested in Vincent Kompany ever since he was 16, but I am not interested in him this year," Wenger said. "There is nobody I need for my team's defensive department.
"I still follow Kompany's progress all the time and I know him very, very well. But he will not be an Arsenal player next season - and you can print that," the Emirates manager told The Sun.
However, Wenger has been linked with Raul Albiol, the Spain and Valencia player who is comfortable as a centre back or defensive midfielder.

AC Milan make Adebayor approach
Emmanuel Adebayor
AC Milan say they will sign Adebyaor or they will sign no-one
AC Milan have revealed they have made Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor their sole transfer target and are trying to negotiate a deal with the London club.
As well as Adebayor, 24, who signed a long-term deal in 2007, AC Milan have been linked with Spurs forward Dimitar Berbatov and Chelsea's Didier Drogba.
But AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani told L'Equipe: "If Adebayor doesn't come then nobody will come.
"We are in negotiations but Arsenal are unwilling to sell at the moment."
The Rossoneri are keen to sign a striker following the departure of Alberto Gilardino to Fiorentina and a serious injury to Ronaldo.
And Galliani said at the beginning of June that Drogba, Berbatov, Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o and Stuttgart's Mario Gomez were all on Milan's wish-list along with Adebayor.
But now the Milan vice president has claimed the club will put all their efforts into convincing Arsenal to part with their 24-year-old Togo forward.
"One single player interests us and that is Emmanuel Adebayor," he added.
Arsenal are reluctant to sell their star forward, who last season found the net 30 times in 48 outings, and Adebayor has repeatedly committed his future to Arsenal.
Another sticking point for Milan could be the fact they have failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.
But Galliani was adamant the Italian club will continue to chase Adebayor until they are convinced they can do no more to persuade Arsenal to sell.
Should Adebayor be tempted to move to the Serie A club he will be reunited with French midfielder Matthieu Flamini who left Arsenal for AC Milan in May.
I hate all these clubs harrasing our players....Why won't they try and get players from Man U , Liverpool etc..
Arsenal are at the centre of the transfer universe with a host of players hurtling in and out of the Emirates' shiny revolving doors.
The re-emergence of Russian playmaker Andrei Arshavin in the vital Euro 2008 game against Sweden last night has apparently led Arsene Wenger to enquire about his availability. Why bother with scouts when you've got ITV, eh?
Arshavin came back from suspension to ensure his country's progress by scoring the second goal in a 2-0 win. Among some eye-catching displays at club level is a man-of-the-match performance in Zenit St Petersburg's Uefa Cup final triumph.

Adebayor or nothing?
This could indicate that Milan are likely to bid a higher fee i.e. closer to Arsenal's valuation. I won't expect them to match it though.
Good to hear Nasri has signed. Surely this means Hleb will leave, though it would be pretty nice if Hleb did actually stay giving us some very good squad depth. A very unlikely scenario however.
We're still a winger short anyway, so i hope Wenger has his eyes set on one... e.g. Ben Arfa.

Lets not forget when Sagna got injured Kolo ended up moving out right back which I believe cost us, so I'd add one good versatile defender to the ranks .
As for Ade, I'd take the money and run if we get close to the asking, we got plenty of forwards next season and personally I didn't like his attitude last season in a few of the games. He hasn't won my heart yet.
