My Man Utd Home & Away Shirts

Now released my version 1.0 of Man Utd scanned shirts I created with Photoshop & my PSP.
It looks like after doing a bit of testing that no optionfile is essential for uploading shirt/face scans so there's no optionfile with this so it's just 2 Man Utd shirts which will copy to your PS3 ok.

thanks for these but they don't look as good as they do in your pics. The home kit has scan lines all over it and away kit is slightly blurry. I'm not being ungrateful or knocking you just giving some feedback, they are better than I can do!

For now I'll stick with the Man Utd kits in WEmerica/Djpelle option file which would be perfect if the badge wasn't stretched.

And scan lines can be quite a problem...why just recently I tried making the Goalkeeper kits too...I made them but the blue one no matter how hard I tried, I tried to get rid of the scan lines, but on the green one they are barely visible...quite strange

I'm a graphic designer and was wondering how you go about creating a kit? I have Photoshop/Illustrator etc, etc. If it's not too tricky I was thinking I might give it a crack...

I make them with Photoshop and then I place them onto my PSP and open them in there and then take a picture of them with the Eye Toy

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but how come you have to use PSP and EYE Toy? Is it a case that the game will only accept certain kinds of image files?

Noooo not at all...the reason why I used my PSP was because the picture colour quality might be better in some aspects than taking a picture of the kit from the PC

Well guys you've now got me tempted to try and see how it would actually look if I take the picture straight from my laptop.
If they are any better then I'll be sure to let you know.
But my kits are after all version 1.0 meaning maybe they could be improved in future :D

When i downloaded the united ones they had the same file names as the arsenal ones

I tried renaming the folders to 07 and 08 but that doesn't work, just says corrupt data. They have to be saved originally in those slots so you would have to create 6 kits before these as you can't choose a slot.

I look forward to any updates to these kits but for now I'm sticking with the ones in WEmericas/DJpelles as they are good, only problem is the stretched badge

Yeah that is one bad thing that you can only stick to one/two scan folders...I did use numbers 1 & 2 and I did test seeing what would happen if I renamed the folders and that didn't work.
So for some people they wont mind the Man Utd kits being as Uniform's 1 & 2 while others though wont.
But hmm...maybe...just maybe I should make one kit file for the Home shirt which will have the Man Utd shirt as Uniform's 1 to 8 and do the same for the away shirt's that way you guys can just take the one that is more convienient for you.
If you all think it's a good idea then I can do that for my Man Utd kits 1.1 and of course some home kit uniform's may not be exactly identical to the others coz of having to take the pictures 8 time lol.

whatever is convenient for you... there must be a way to change the file names without them becoming corrupt... i'll do a little trial and error to see if it works or not...

otherwise, we'll just have to wait for you to work ur magic with the OFs... which, by the way, are really really looking like the best thing out there right now in terms of kit creations...

Well they are some geniouses out there hiding away somewhere...like Juice for instance who made for the previous PES game a nice Kit tool that allowed you to select before your match for the PC of which kits you want to use and you had unlimited kits to use aswell.
So come on geniouses stop hiding lol.

I don't mind re-working on the kits & using them as Uniforms 1 to 8 since I know that you guys appreciate it :)

Well it turns out that if I take a picture from my PC the top & bottom half of the picture is darker while the middle isn't

No none yet, but unfortunatley there's a problem with taking pictures of the shirt from my laptop.
So will probably have to use my PSP again, I'll try to get rid of the scan lines or reduce them so they are barely visible at least.

Hmm...I guess I can't...but the guy that posted it is right though that it is Konami's fault for allowing us to make kit scan's in the first place...however I don't see why it is such an issue when we're not making money from this.
But to avoid copyright I could perhaps change just about what every Man Utd fan dislikes about the Man Utd kits....and that's the AIG logo which would also avoid copyright.

just rename the file name to Manchester Red Kit Proper... and that should avoid any copyright problems because it is not implying anything about the EPL

I tried everything possible to get the file name to work without overwriting the Arsenal jersey, nothing worked.

So I guess we'll have to wait for your release.

I was wondering, I haven't tinkered around with the in-game editor, is there anyway to save the file in a different slot without having to re-do the whole kit again?

No that's one bad thing about it...but I found one way of removing the scan lines as it worked for my Goalkeeper shirt....I just simply moved the camera a little and took the picture at the same time

Once you have PSeye, do you need to download the eyecreate inorder to take a picture for PES? Or can you just take a photo in PES without the eyecreate?
