E-book reader

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a good ebook reader. I just cn not stand reading books off screen!!!

Doesnt really matter - its the machine to read them that I'm looking for.

Mostly gym books, poker books, autobiographies etc.

My main problem, with this and the sony reader, is compatibility with pdf's I already have:( Just read that the kindle is at an experimental stage re pdfs and also that you can not zoom!!!:no:
