subscribed threads

i used 2 get emails saying when someone has replied to a thread i said something in, when the little white box thing comes up, why dont i get emails anymore, i dont come on ere as much as i used 2 cause i never get reminded.

Maybe you unsubscribed from them?

now the default is no subscription as most people dont want to be subscribed to every thread they reply to, all you have to do is change it

i say good riddance damned emails :p

its because i turned off the e-mailer. It was simply causing too much overload on the server (one of the reasons why people kept seeing the page error load message). plus the fact I used to get hundreads of emails a day which were returned undelivered because of people entering wrong email addresses

thats why you require a valid email address at registration and then routinely run deletes of users with bad email addresses.

just make it known that if your email address dies, you better change it or let an admin know.

isnt there a way to edit the templates and make it so no notification is the default action from the reply page?
