View Full Version : Which ps3 system do you own?

I was wondering, which ps3 system everyone got? Also if anyone wanted to get the version they ows or they would rather get another one? Last but not least, the reasons behind him purchasing that particular system (price, HDD, backwards compatibilty ...etc).

I got:
60 GB ps3, got it because it's the complete package really, have hardware backward compatibility, more usbs than the 40/20, wi-fi, and it had an offer on it in virgin since the discontinued making it.

Yes, I have one connected but I'm not sure if I can save from the PS3 directly onto it. I'm sure it's possible I've just never tried.

Never tried, but I think it should work, why wouldn't it? The USB flash drive works, so I think it's just like that.

I think (but don't quote me on it) that it's only for storage purposes. So if you want to play anything from the external HD it needs transferring back to the console. I could be referring to a different hard drive I've seen.

You can buy a laptop hard-drive and put it in the PS3 if you want to.

I have 60GB version as it was the only type available on release day. Only (at last... thanks for the help Sky :no:) got broadband 2 days ago so am only just beginning to fill the HD with uneccessary crap.

Ged I paid R6500.00 which is about £460, he in South Africa technology goods are rather overpriced.

I have 60gb console with FIFA08, Fall of Man and F1, luvin it so far. downloaded some well cool themes on it and looking to get on PSN asap.
