The ball got stuck under his feet. Missing alot of chances? You mean the chances from well outside the area? Name me another United player who could have hit the shot he did that Cech saved?
aite the newcastle match and the birmingham match(he should have had atleast a hat trick in that match)

Neville----Ferdinand----Brown----Heinze
Easily our best defense. Vidic or Evra do not appear as they are not good enough.
Not a bad campaign, if we do finish 2nd, seeing as the midfield partnership of Keane and Scholes (for the last 7+ years) hasn't been there most of this season.

yes that is our best defence i feel sorry for evra though because when heinze comes back he gonna be sitting on the bench and evra is a good left back.
as for finishing 2nd, i have no doubt in my mind that we wont finish 2nd becuase liverpool need us to lose our last 2 games to go 2nd because we have a supirior goal difference

Well funnier things have happened...look at Arsenal!
At least he left on crutches, thats a plus side to the injury. But in all seriousness, if Rooney misses the World Cup England certainly don't have a cat in hell's chance of going anywhere. Todays performance was piss poor and we had no bloody structure. Our defence was awful, especially Silvestre when defending the corner which produced Gallas a goal, disgusting.
Whats with fergie constantly putting Ruud on the bench in favour of saha! i dunno if im the only one but id of rather ruud started! he's clearly the better and more consistent of the two! especially in big games!

A good tribute to Alan Smith, Not great quality and not for the faint hearted.
What is actually wrong then. Do they know
Apparently its one of the veins blocking a passage. So basically he can't properly see out of his eye because a vein is blocking his view, nice eh ?
I'd rather see Saha playing over Ruud at the moment though, Ruud's touches today weren't impressive mind you Saha's never are. But hes got pace unlike Ruud. Although they will both be playing on Monday against Boro so no arguments.
Nice little tribute there to smithy! not heard much from him in a while! hope all is cool ;)
Fucking awful so much for the whole we are not going to let chelsea beat us and win the title against us today....
Silvestre has to be shown the exit and also vidic and o'shea. Saha was awful all game and he knew that himself. It was rounded off by our best player getting injured, though no hard feelings towards chelsea worthy champions.
Lets just hope we can secure the 2nd spot now.
Well Middkesbrough will play a weakened side hopefully.
Hopefully i think its Boro on monday and charlton?

Well Middkesbrough will play a weakened side hopefully.
There's no real reason why they would do that. They would normally only ever do it if there was an upcoming European fixture, but that ain't the case this week. Plus Boro will be up for the double against us.

Yup, Charlton last game of the season. Will be tough as it's Curbishley's last game.

absolutely gutted about rooney! and united loosing.
Next Season we need scholes back. Need to start Ruud every game. Vidic will hopefully adapt, be just as amazing as when we beat arsenal, but yeah Brown is world class when he isnt injured.
those for the exit door - silvestre, o'shea, fletcher (worst player in a long time), Richardson (just not good enough)
we need two world class centre midfielders to come in and grab the team by the scruff of the neck. since eano left the only ones shouting are Neville and Rooney. 11 gary nevilles! thats what we need! a bit of emotion and love for the club!
to think we couldve had ronaldinho for 25 mil and kenyon wouldnt go that high. what a fucking tool! he knew what he was doing that tosser before he left for chelsea!
ah well, second place and automatic qualification. cant gripe really. at least we won something this season!

Haven't got 2nd place yet. Although one win should give it to use, with our goal difference being slightly better than the Scouser's.
It was always going to be a hard day, not because Chelsea got the point they needed to be crowned champions, but because of the utter contemptibility of their support.
Chelsea fans are clueless. As the busses from Essex arrived and their overweight passengers poured off sporting headhunter t-shirts and walked with rich London elites, Chewsea's fanbase combined to gloat and goad us.
As for the match, it was a healthy thumping for a United side that was clearly out of it's depth. Fair enough, these last couple of months have brought some fantastic form, but the fact that Chelsea had to wait until two games before the end of the season until they were mathmatical champions shouldn't hide the obvious gulf of ability that exists between United and them.
United have been in superb form recently, but for all of this they drowned amidst the sea of talent Roman's millions have allowed Mourhino to assemble.
I've got mixed feelings about Rooney's injury, as I'm sure most reds have. On the one hand he stands a better chance of being in complete fitness for next season if he is rested and not taken to the world cup, his last few performances are testament to the fact that he definitely needs a rest, as he's looked tired over the last few games.
On the other hand, I would never wish to deny any United player the chance to perform for their country, and Rooney desperately wanted to go to the World Cup. Still, it was amusing to watch the Chelsea fans who'd been booing his every touch watch in horror and applaud him being stretchered off as they realised that their world cup hopes were fast disappearing. And on the spur of the constant munich jibes, taunting and goading that we recieved from Chelsea support, United fans responded with England jibes. Given that I am absoloutley gutted for the lad, that was uncomfortable.

I hate dickheads who do the Munich chants.
I'd prefer Rooney to go to the WC, winning it for his country will fill him with confidence going into next season. When have you ever seen Rooney out of breath this season? The guy is immense, and I feel really sorry for him.

I do have a little hate for Chelski, but only for the manner in which they won the leagues (selling out), no other reason.
And yes, I have been to OT many times.
Fluke, am starting to like you too, maybe we should start calling eachother names to make it a bit easier
From the MEN: CHELSEA'S out- of-favour striker Eidur Gudjohnsen wants to come to United. It is understood that Gudjohnsen has held informal talks over his future at Stamford Bridge and the two parties are due to sit down again in the next fortnight.
Tottenham are being linked with the striker as well but United would be his choice of future employer.
Sir Alex Ferguson values players who can play in more than one role and Gudjohnsen's midfield capabilities as well as his ability to fill a berth in a two-pronged attack would make him a versatile addition to the Reds squad.
Gudjohnsen moved to Stamford Bridge from Bolton for £5m in 2000 after two years at Wanderers.
His Chelsea strike-rate has been good with 78 goals from 177 matches.
Probably not the smartest signing. Despite being a very talented player Gudjohnsen isn't really what we need, especially if we're talking about a replacement for Ruud as his goalscoring ability isn't half what Ruud's is. Plus he likes to drop off and influence play, and we already have one of the best players in the world who is a master of that particular trait.
However, if he's bought as a replacement for Scholes (assuming he doesn't make it back) then that's another story.
I would love Gudjohnson at United as he is an amazing player, he reminds me of Bergkamp in his vision and passing ability, he also has great finishing.

if he came to us, i would prefer if he played upfront instead of midfield because he is not the type of player we need

Eidur is a quality player but he'd be best up front and we don't need any more upfront players! we have 3 quality strikers, Rossi who is coming through and Ole will be bangin 'em in again soon!
If he was played entirely in midfield then maybe it'd be a different story..
On a simmilar note i hear we may bid for Carrick, now thats a good idea, he'd be great at united

I expect him to atleast be on the bench. They bought him on for 10 minutes vs Boro.
£24m for a player who's only really had one decent season is a bit risky. For that amount of money I'd expect him to give me a blowjob at every halftime of every match
Do you think Rossi will get a run out? United are apparently pushing to get the Diarra transfer through quickly.
Well its becoming more obvious that we are selling Ruud. So Rossi will definetely be in the firing line for the first 11, he'll be on the bench for nearly every match I think. Unless of course the rumours of us loaning him out next season are true.
Hopefully we'll strike the Diarra deal nicely too, also after Carrick and Riquelme, if we get 2 of them I'd be delighted. However Carrick and Diarra are both quite defensively minded, probably best pushing for Riquelme.

Bellamy is shit, simple as that! In an ideal world, we'd keep Ruud and he'd get back on form. However it does seem likely that he's gonna leave. I've heard that we may offer him and £14 million for Torres which is a bit expensive to be fair. Plus we don't know what he's gonna be like in Premiership, he may be shit!
Robbie Keane is an interesting suggestion actually. I think he's a great player and would do really well for United but i still think that we need to get midfielders and hope that a fit, in form ruud stays with us.
