Tevez should take free kicks when he's fit. He scored some beauties last season.
Agreed, anyone but that useless cunt that just lashes the ball into everything bar the goals.
The worst part is looking at him building it up as if it going in the top corner, he's such a cunt.

If I wanted to just say he's a useless cunt period then I would of, but he's a good player I can admit that.

Yeah, it sounds it.
By the sounds of it, we're dominating at the moment in terms of possession. Tevez seems to be playing well, too. Scholes goal was also apparently a good strike .

Dominating but it's still only 1-0 which is never a safe score.
Bikey just scored for Reading. Apparently big big fuck up from Cech. Will enjoy watching that although Chelski will still probably win.

Can you really see us taking full points from Chelsea? Seven points behind after three games, Rooney out for two months having to get back to top form after that, Ronaldo missing for two more games. We beat Chelsea by only six points last season ,when they were missing Cech and Terry for extended periods.

7 points behind, 35 games left. All I'm saying is to write off your team at this stage is hilariously plastic it's almost not funny. On your day you and I both know you can take Chelsea, and you also know that other teams in the league will always take points off them. Until it's mathematical you can't win the title, you've not lost it in my eyes.

Well in ten games, Fergie has only beaten Mourinho's Chelsea twice (one was on penalties). Mourinho has won five and the other three were draws (two of those draws were at Old Trafford).

Still a good achievement mind you. ;)
Yeah. You can really say Wayne Ronney is as important to United as Cech and Terry are to Chelsea.
Er yes actually, seeing as there isn't exactly a wealth of other striking options at the moment. Without Rooney and Ronaldo in the team, United look distinctly less potent in the attacking department.

I haven't written us off already. Perhaps I should have chosen my words more wisely. I'm saying it would be very difficult to retain the title, should we lose to city this weekend and Chelsea win, as it would be difficult to build up momentum after a disappointing start which resulted in us losing Rooney at a time where we have no backup, no Ronaldo for three games during the same period
I doubt there will be many teams that will take six points from the top any of the top four, including head to heads.

I didn't say that we'll lose the title, unless you were referring to Mambo, or perhaps, I should elaborate my post earlier
my point was, I'm pretty worried that we did not turn our chances into goals, and afraid that the opposing team might take their chance and score.
Just like the Reading and Portsmouth game, we've had many chances but failed to convert it into goals, and it eventually cost us.
AgentZero
18-08-2007, 10:23

Lord Shrimpeh
18-08-2007, 22:34
I don't see the problem, we lost to Portsmouth and drew to Reading last season so we're one point up on that this season.
And why does everyone think if Chelsea are 6 points ahead or whatever we've got to be the ones to take points off them? Reading nearly scored 3 in the first half against Chelsea and they've yet to play difficult teams like Portsmouth, Blackburn, Everton, Man City etc and we'll have got two of the most difficult fixtures involving those teams out of the way, hopefully with 4 points in the bag.
Ronaldo Pleads Not Guilty
Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has declared his innocence after being served a three match ban for head-butting Portsmouth’s Richard Hughes on Wednesday.
The flamboyant Portuguese winger was given a straight red card for the incident, which happened right under the nose of referee Steve Bennett.
At first glances, it looked as if both players were guilty of pushing and shoving, however Bennett deemed it necessary to give him his marching orders.
Hughes has said in the media that the incident was nothing out of the ordinary, and hardly worth being called a head-butt.
Ronaldo agrees that the pair were guilty of a bit of pushing and shoving, but nothing else.
"The replays show there was nothing," Ronaldo told the Sun.
"But I don't need to look at the pictures, because I know exactly what I did - and that's nothing to justify a red card."
"I was pushed in the area. He came straight to me, put his hand on my neck and I opened my arms in a 'that's enough' way. We pushed each other but nothing serious," he added.
"We leaned heads against each other but that was all. Absolutely nothing else happened.
"When I saw the red card, I couldn't believe it, the situation was so surreal.
"And it's absurd because I'm aware that now I'll sit out a ban for something I didn't do. I feel dejected and very sad."

You had about 4 shots all game, and could barely string two passes together until the last 10 minutes. You played like the away team, and were outclassed for the majority of the game. Had we nicked a couple of goals like we should have done, no-one, and I mean no-one would have been praising anything City did today.

Dong is the answer to our problems.
A loss is a loss. There was a season when Arsenal was top of the table, then we won all our last games then we won the league! That's football, anything can happen.
I have a (bad)feeling we'll be like last season's Arsenal, except that we've spent lots of money while Arsenal had only spent a fraction of what we have.
I don't think that will happen. I didn't see the game today, but from what I've heard it was pretty similar to the first two. We dominated but couldn't put away our chances. I'd be more worried if we were playing badly. It'll come. We'll occupy one of the top two spots by game 38.

You Man United fans who are giving up on the title already are such pussies. You really think that none of the other big teams will have a period of three games where they find it difficult to score or get results?
Get behind your team instead of writing them off three games into the season.

Didn't see much of the game but Hargreaves looked impressive. Can see why we got him for Europe (something we may have to concentrate on, as we've started piss poor).
Look at the standard of subs that we brought on today; Eagles, O'Shea and Campbell. Look at the subs that Chelsea and Liverpool bring on today...there's our problem. We can only play the "we're injury struck" bullshit for so long, as other teams have injuries and still cope.
A striker is a must, as Saha is about reliable as a AIDS ridden condom.

If only we hadn't got rid of Smith and Rossi... maybe they weren't the best strikers but they should have been given more of a chance, especially Rossi. Dunno if we have any money left to buy a striker. We didn't score a lot of goals end of last season either. Any idea how long Saha will be out?

Was trying to predict the score between man u and spurs next weekend for "i know the score' on premier league (i dont know the score to be honest). I'm going for 1-1 at the moment, but if Rocha and Gardner play at the back, then i could see it being a one sided game. Gardner is good for at least 2 mistakes a game and even if man u have no strikers with goal scoring ability, someone will score. If Gardner plays we will lose by 2 or more goals. What does everyone else think?

im goin for a 2-0 victory at home, the gaffer wont be pleased with the shite finishing and i fancy the lads will be working on breaking down 'men behind the ball' type defending and the importance of taking all the chances in such a game.
I think Man U will won the Tottenham game though.
It's true that Tottenham has good strikers (Bent, Berbatov, Keane, Defoe)
but Berbatov is injured.
And Spurs midfielders aren't so good except for someone like Lennon.
And the defence is average. AS 7ames said that Gardner will make at least 2 errors in every game and Bale & King is injured so the defence is fragile and Man U can pass through it.
Maybe 3-1 for me.

I actually haven't given my thoughts on the start to this season, so I may aswell.
Really shit start. The match against Reading we should of won, end of really. We should of made the most of our chances and opportunity's. Then, against Portsmouth, we also should of won that game. Scholes scored a really good goal. I think that it's obvious that how important Rooney is to our squad, since his injury. Tevez should of scored atleast two in this game. Ronaldo getting sent off was a right bugger. Against Manchester City we should of ALSO won. We should of already have 9 points. Losing against Man City was of course a right shitter. Obviously really annoyed about our start to the season and we must get into a winning streak soon, if we are to challenge for the Premier League this season.

Heinze vows to battle on for Liverpool move
Gabriel Heinze is determined to continue his battle for the right to leave Manchester United for the club of his choice after the Premier League's decision not to allow him to quit Old Trafford for Liverpool.
A three-man panel decided United were able to block Heinze's move to Anfield, ruling the club were not obliged to sell him.
However, the 29-year-old - who still has two years left on his contract at Old Trafford - is set to appeal against the verdict and insists he wants to be free to choose his employer.
He told the Daily Mail: 'My fight is for the freedom to negotiate with any club.
'United never wanted me to leave for one of the big clubs but this anti-Liverpool clause is incredible.'
Reports have linked Heinze with a move overseas to the likes of Real Madrid or Lyon but he claims he is in limbo.
'I still don't have a clear future.
'I have not spoken with Lyon because I believed my option was Liverpool.
'I would like a solution. Not playing would be negative for me and also the club.'

Gabriel Heinze's representatives proposed a deal whereby the Manchester United defender would join Crystal Palace before signing for Liverpool.
A Premier League arbitration panel ruled on Tuesday that United were within their rights to block the Argentine from moving to Anfield.
Heinze had been holding out for a switch to Liverpool after receiving a letter from United saying he could go for £6.8million.
However, United's stance that the letter did not permit Heinze to join a rival club was supported by the Premier League.
But in an attempt to work around the situation, evidence from the hearing suggests the player's agents wanted to arrange a deal for Heinze to join Palace before being sold on to Liverpool.
Palace chief executive Phil Alexander is understood to have informed the panel of the proposal to enable Heinze to eventually secure his desired move to Merseyside.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has already expressed his unhappiness with the Premier League's verdict, while Heinze may appeal against the initial ruling.

Not my point lad. Tevez was bought because he creates goals out of nothing as we saw him do at West Ham. So he didn't score goals in two matches, thats it. You automatically start looking for another striker to get goals. Every player(especially foward) needs time to adjust to his new club. Once he starts getting goals, he won't stop, espically with Giggs and Ronaldo behind him. By the way, what happend to Saha?
AgentZero
22-08-2007, 23:26
You dont get it do you? Saha and Solskjaer are currently injured and theyre track record for injuries seems like going to continue, with rooney out for a further 3 months Tevez and Campbell are our only strikers after selling Rossi and smith and they will be for a prolonged amount of time, it would be sufficient if we were winning games but we are not, we need goals and Tevez hasn't trained after Copa, so he isnt as sharp as he was at the end of last season (this can be seen in his finishing). So a dip for a striker like Anelka or Martins will at least provide a fully fit and match ready striker, who i salready established. In a sense the losers if we get new strikers are Saha and Solskjaer, not Tevez.
