What's the betting on the next time Saha gets an injury? I reckon mid-November. And Tevez's first goal, considering the goal against Spurs was given to Nani? Mid-November for me
the odds of Saha gets an injury - in two weeks 0.02, in one month 0.21,later than that 0.5, and stay injury free for the rest of season 100.0
so, place your bets. :w00t
As for Tevez, I think he'll score somewhere in the next 5 games

Only because he was sent out to warm up and get ready to come on, only not to. I'd be slightly pissed too if I were him.
Hargreaves has been money well spent so far this season, never realised how much of a difference he makes.

We definately were. Just amazed at his stamina and how often he tracks back to win the ball off someone on the counter attack.Actually plays that roll how it should be played, quick, great stamina, good technique and runner with the ball, one touch movement and passing, doesn't dwell on the ball like Scott Parker does. That's a key attribute for someone in that position in my eyes, the ability for quick one touch passes to get the ball away.

True but he has played as a lone striker and on the left wing recently as well as playing with Crouch which does not suit him either as England play long balls instead of hitting Rooneys feet. If England played to his strengths that would be a fair critism. Considering Owen likes to break the offside trap that is ideal for Rooney and I think we would see him in the form he was in early in his England career.

If it ain't broken, don't try and fix it.
If it ain't broken, don't try and fix it.
Applying that saying to football does not work usually. Englands case is no different as it was not a flawless performance and there are a few things that could have improved upon. Quality of delivery into the box, passes that penetrated the defensive line etc.Now whether such problems require a change of personel is another story.
Its important to keep things in perspective if that is done there should be a place in the team for Wayne Rooney.

The thing is he hasn't been too bad for United, but if he put in performances like last nights for us, I imagine someone like Silvestre would be drafted into CB or Brown if Nev is back soon.
What do you think of Gary Nevilles chances of getting back into the England side after everyone has been going on about Micah Richards? I thought Richards looked weak defensively against Russia.
It all depends on McClaren.
I think maybe he will keep Micah for one more match and then put Gary and then decides who will be in that position for the next macth.

Well to be honest, I'd like to see Ashley Cole dropped straight away, and replaced with anyone with a left foot. Matthew Taylor of Portsmouth deserves a chance at least for England.
maybe micah would be in the centre pairing and nev back out right.I think he's a lot better at right-back than centre half IMO even though that's were he has starred for Citeh this season. At least at full-back his pace and power can get him out of sticky situations that he can get himself into at times, as I feel he doesn't read the game that great and sometimes makes rash decisions, where at full-back these aren't exposed as much as they would be playing as a centre half internationally. Plenty of time on the lad's side though. A physical monster though, there's no doubt about that.
Richards has come in and not let England down so doesn't deserve to be dropped, Neville has been one of the best full-backs of the past decade and has never let the side down, so it's a tough one.

Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on South Korean youngster Ki Sung-yong.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been a revelation for FC Seoul this term and caught the eye of United's coaching staff when the two teams met in a friendly in July.
According to reports in Korea, the Premier League champions are keen to take the Under 23 star on a two-week trial.
However, FC Seoul have dismissed rumours that United have invited the player over to England to train with Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
"We haven't heard from United or received any formal documents," a club official told local press.
"It is the middle of the (K-League) season now, so organising a trial would be very difficult."

Manchester United have suffered a blow after learning that Mikael Silvestre will miss the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
Silvestre, 30, was stretchered off just before half-time in Saturday's 1-0 win at Everton after collapsing in pain.
Defender Silvestre's appearances have been limited this season because of Patrice Evra's good form.
But his injury leaves United short of defensive cover at left-back following Gabriel Heinze's move to Real Madrid.
It is also the latest in a series of knee injuries to hit the Old Trafford camp.
Park Ji-Sung and England keeper Ben Foster are both at different stages of recovery from cruciate ligament surgery, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced his retirement this month after failing to recover from a long-term knee complaint.
John O'Shea is also out after sustaining an injury on Republic of Ireland duty last week, while youngsters Gerard Pique and Johnny Evans are likely to be among Ferguson's squad when United open their Champions League campaign against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal on Wednesday.

I went to our game against West Ham in March before last season where we won 1-0 and Pique played at right back. The carling cup as always will probably be a good indicator. I look forward to it this year than in others, see whether eagles, evans, anderson, pique, bardsley, simpsons and co. have in it in them. If im not wrong, those players (bar anderson) were the nucleus of Rene Meulensteen's reserves squad that dominated their league. Would like to see how those players gel years down the track.
I wouldn't be too worried about putting in Evans or Pique myself, Evans had a season with Sunderland where he did really well and has a handful of international caps for Northern Ireland. Pique had a good season loan out for Zaragoza as well where he also played well. I wouldn't be to sure about having them both in but with another experienced player I wouldn't mind.

For the weekend I want to see this,
-------------VDS-------------
Brown----Rio-----Vidic----Evra
------------------------------
--------------Hargreaves------
-------Scholes-----------Giggs
Ronaldo-----------------------
-----------------Rooney-------
---------Saha-----------------
Rooney and Tevez won't work at the moment, they will need to play for a while and get used to eachother before they would be able to play together.

...from a cross that shouldnt have been allowed to have been made, as the ref should've blown up for half time. I'm not saying Man Utd wouldnt have won this game without bad ref decisions but to lose because of a shite ref is the most annoying thing from today!

You lost because you never looked like you wanted to make a game of it and push for a goal.

1. You never stop a half when a team are in that position.
2. The time specified is only a rough guideline of what the Fourth Official believes there to be, the decision of when to blow for the end of each half rests solely with the Referee.
So exactly why should he have blown for Half Time?

Well first half you lot did have a go but it went downhill after Mikel got sent off and after that there was only one team in it. And the ref only allowed an extra 40 seconds and it was a minium of 2 minutes addtional time so i can see where the ref should of blew the whislte earlier after it was intially cleared from the corner.

It was 30-40 seconds over the 'rough guideline' time of 2mins, which referees usually play to! The ball came in and was cleared out by which MOST refs would have blown the whistle and only when it came back in did they score. Straight after the goal aswell Fergie was pointing to his watch saying it was half time, but surely if its only a rough guideline he could've played another couple of minutes then? And he seemed to blow the whistle right on time of this rough guideline extra time added on.
vanNistelrooy
23-09-2007, 18:57
If this was the first time it had ever happened I could understand why you would moan about it.
Would you rather the ref blow the whistle when the ball comes in the area from the corner? Because it's been done before as a player has scored, and it hasn't counted.

CaptainCabinet
23-09-2007, 19:05
So?
The point is;
Every half the Fourth Official puts up how much time he believes will roughly be added on. This takes no bearing on any actual referee, who the decision completely rests with. Each half of the match is completely free, and the first half does not make a difference on the amount of added time added to the end of the second half.
Like the ref is going to take notice of what probably the most biased man on a football pitch (the coach) thinks about the way he's doing his job. Doesn't the ref signal the amount of minutes to the 4th official?

Stop being a tool, really. The time added on is only a minimum to be played, not a maximum. The ref could have played an extra minute, or even two minutes if he deemed appropriate due to things such as injuries etc.

Carrick was easily m.o.m. him and Rio did well.
Saha got a slap around the face from Ben Haim, that is what made him fall backwards.
