Personally I thought it was VDS fault.
I'm pretty sure Brown will be in the starting eleven still, I thought he had an injury?
Rafael has looked pretty exciting, not sure about the defensive side of his game yet as he hasn't had much of a challenge yet but going forward he looks brilliant. Fabio is supposed to be the better of the two aswell.

Sir Alex remains unsure over the readiness of Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney ahead of Saturday's visit to Blackburn.
The Reds confirmed on Thursday that Rooney was unlikely to make the match because of the ankle injury he picked up against Aalborg on Tuesday.
Rooney, however, joined Neville in doing some light jogging during Friday's training session, and Sir Alex was hopeful that both players would also do some ball work.
But the visit to Ewood Park looks to have come too soon for the pair, who are likely to join Michael Carrick (ankle), Owen Hargreaves and Paul Scholes (both knee) on the sidelines.
Even in Neville's absence, Sir Alex has a dilemma at right back. United's 18-year-old Brazilian defender Rafael started and impressed against Aalborg, but had to come off after picking up a slight knock. He has since been passed fit and is vying alongside Wes Brown for the vacant full-back berth.

He is incredibly lazy, me and a few of my friends were watching the Aalborg game and we were actually howling with laughter at how lazy Berba really is. Even when he passes, he'll flick his toes instead of swinging his leg. :fplm:

Berbatov, lazy? No. I would have agreed to a certain extent if you had said slow though. He does give you that impression but he's the type of player who likes to play it cool. :\ He does get his bursts of acceleration, mind.(Tonight's game for instance; the cross intended for Rooney, that he missed, where Giggs took the shot)
Rooney didn't have an exceptional game, although he had his moments. That said, it's still a good thing, it's been a while since he's played that way.
The first goal, well...
The second one had a good buildup play to it with a comfortable finish from Wayne.
Despite the scoreline suggesting an easy win, it really wasn't. Blackburn put up a good fight, particularly their keeper who impressed, and could have scored on a few occasions, but so could we. :\
Overall, I'm glad with our performance. Three wins in a row is nice for a change! :D

Thought Ronaldo played well today watching him against Aalborg he was so greedy, set up some players which they should have finished, he had a few chances too.
Darren Fletcher has probably been one of, if not, our best player this season, he has truly progressed excellently over the last few seasons. There was a time when I used to loathe seeing his name in the line-up but now he is definitely worthy.

Only trouble is with players like Berbs is that when he's not producing the goods, it's so easy to get on his back because he contributes fuck all in terms of grafting and trying to make amends where-as with a player like Rooney, the crowd can appreciate the effort he is putting in regardless of form.

True, but they could have scored as well. The weather for one, was shit. They had their fans behind them, for a quite while. On another night, we would have won by a higher margin, but they would have scored as well, that I'm certain of.

That's true but take into account of what Zero said(although I find his choice of Fletcher questionable, despite him being hard worker who clearly loves the team).
At the end of the day, we bought Berbatov to score goals and so far so good. Whatever it is he adds other than goals, is just a bonus.

Once again i was glad to see Rooney get a goal, and what a goal it was. I was also glad to see Fletcher playing from the start, he had a great start to the season and normally with the injuries to Scholes Carrick and Hargreaves i would be worried but lately, and i never thought i would say this, but i have faith in Fletcher to come and just go about his job, and he was excellent at it yesterday.
But i think what i loved most about yesterday is that Wes scored, he has been very harshly left out of the team lately and that was a perfect way to respond.

Tevez is awesome, obviously, but he is too similar to Rooney. I agree in the best world we'd have Rooney and Tevez and Berba and I hope we can keep Tevez but we need Berba more. SAF recognises this by always starting him because he knows he is vital to poach goals and allow rooney to operate in his best position. You can say, of course Rooney and Tevez work together like they did last season but remember Ronaldo was in the form of his life then and if he isn't (like he hasn't been so far) we'd have stuggled without Berba. It's not just the goals he scores, he allows Rooney to be at his most effective.

I don't think he was a panic buy. Saha was our only backup, and he was too busy shooting Unbreakable 2 - The Louis Saha Chronicles. We needed a 3rd striker, and one that would do the jizzness as everyone else had bought well in the summer.
Berbatov is getting all of the goals that Ruud used to get, most of his goals have been real poachers efforts. I don't think Tevez would be able to do this as he likes to get around the pitch a bit more.

Pretty Big News:
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has told Sky Sports News that he is no longer interested in luring Cristiano Ronaldo away from Manchester United.
Ronaldo was at the centre of an exhausting summer transfer saga as Primera Liga champions Real pursued the winger's services throughout Euro 2008 and pre-season.
However, England League and UEFA Champions League title holders United maintained their stance that they did not want to sell the Portugal international, who eventually opted to stay at Old Trafford.
And Calderon - who refrained from tabling a bid for Ronaldo - now insists that he has permanently ended his efforts to entice the favourite for the 2008 Ballon d'Or and Fifa World Player of the Year to Spain.
"It (a deal for Ronaldo) is not possible," said Calderon. "That matter is over.
"We talked about that last season. Manchester decided they did not want to sell the player and we don't want to do anything against a friendly club like Manchester.
"We accept that Ronaldo decided to stay at Manchester. It is forgotten. Not only for January but, I think, for ever."
However, Calderon admits that, if United decided to put the 23-year-old up for sale, Real would consider an offer.
"Only if Manchester decided to sell will we be talking about it," he continued.
"But I would like to say clearly that Madrid is not doing anything to disturb a nice and friendly club like Manchester.
"That is the final word and we are happy."
He says it twice :chanlaugh:
He must've been drunk at the time.
Remember Figo, Beckham and the other Ronaldo?

Yeah. Everton were poor in the first half. Rooney could've scored if it wasn't for Jagielka(sp?) made an important interception when he was about to shoot.
I thought Berbatov was quite poor. I don't recall seeing him shoot the ball.

same sombre old celeb for the 2nd goal but tbh walking it over like that and the way we dominated at that point didnt require much of a celebration.
He was definetely trying to make a point with that celebration no doubt. But that is the sort of passion we want to see from our players, even Mr. Cool aka Berbatov cracks out a cheeky smile after scoring. It's good to see Ronaldo at least trying to enjoy his football here again though, it has to be said, he's got a lot of making up to do but if he keeps playing like he did yesterday then it shouldn't take too long.

By the sight of things, we absolutely raped Sunderland through the whole 90 minutes and the floodgates opened after the first regardless. Sunderland didn't get in our faces enough from the get-go and it's one of them games where we could have easily got another five.

You're an idiot.
Anelka's first goal.
When Alex wins the challenge he knocks the ball forward to Anelka who is in an offside position, who then taps the ball in to the net (stealing the goal from Alex as it was going in).

Must say i thought Giggs had an awful game, despite getting the equaliser. he gave the ball away nearly everytime he touched it, constantly stepping over the ball or trying to the flick with the outside of the boot and trying to run on to it. Not once did it come off :(
Nani was awful as per usual also.

Charlton Receives Flak For Ronaldo's Best Comments
Sir Bobby Charlton has been criticised by Johnny Giles for saying that Cristiano Ronaldo is a better player than the late, great, Manchester United legend George Best.
In an interview with Four Four Two magazine, Sir Bobby Charlton was quizzed over who was the superior player out of two of Manchester United's iconic number 7s: Cristiano Ronaldo, or the late George Best.
Charlton said that Best could turn anyone inside out, but Ronaldo was probably stronger and faster.
Former Manchester United midfielder Johnny Giles, a team-mate of Sir Bobby and a player who left the club the year that Best joined, believes that Charlton was wrong to answer the journalist's comparisons.
"Bobby is an individual who never blows his own trumpet and puts himself down in relation to some of today's players," Giles told RTE. "I don't think it's right... If Bobby genuinely feels that way, and I'm sure he does, it's fair enough but I don't think anybody could describe Ronaldo as being better than Best," he said.
"Anyone watching that match tonight [Celtic], apart from the shot he had that made the goal, saw it was not an aberration. You never saw Best do some of the things Ronaldo did tonight and in other matches.
"I saw Best have poor games and he was a genius but I never saw him indulge himself in the way Ronaldo does.
"I'm surprised by Charlton's comments," Giles continued. "You have to bear in mind Bobby is Manchester United and a huge, iconic figure around the world of football. He's employed as a director by Manchester United and gave great service as a player.
"I have the deepest respect for Bobby, everyone who knows him knows he's a wonderful man but he gets asked questions and dragged into it and making these invidious comparisons," the 67-year old added.
"There's really no question Best would never have done things you've seen Ronaldo doing tonight. Entertainment is beating three players and pulling the ball back for someone to stick it into the net. That's what football entertainment is.
"Ronaldo does it occasionally but, on a lot of other occasions, he's indulging himself. It's not entertainment and it certainly doesn't entertain me."

Yes and if his intention was not to move to Madrid or yours to buy him,i am sure you wouldnt care either.;)

This whole Hargreaves situation is starting to get abit worrying...
Owen Hargreaves has flown to the United States in a bid to find a solution to his mystery long-term knee injury and salvage his
The England midfielder recently visited specialists in Sweden and London who failed to find an answer to the persistent tendonitis problem that has restricted Hargreaves to just three appearances this season.
And he has now been sent to world renowned surgeon Dr Richard Steadman amid growing fears that the player could require major surgery, or even that his career could come to a premature end.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "We have been trying to manage the situation and the way we have been trying to manage it has not given us an answer.
"Over the past ten days he has been to see a specialist in Sweden and sent him to a specialist in London and he is now in Colorado at the moment seeing Mr Steadman who is a very well regarded and respected doctor in these particular types of injuries.
"What we are trying to do now is get to the root of it because the lad has been frustrated and patient and we have never really got to the bottom of his problem.
"But we really need to speed that up now and that is why we have sent him to the best people available to try and get an opinion on where we go from here.
"He is now in Colorado and we are waiting for information to come back. He has been carrying it for too long for us to hope that injections are just going to do the trick."
Hargreaves, 27, has so far made just 17 league starts for United since joining from Bayern Munich before the start of last season and Ferguson admitted the situation is causing concern.
He added: "Owen has come back for different games and then been out again and it is frustrating for the lad and we are trying to help him."
Ferguson has been handed better news after Paul Scholes stepped up his recovery from a knee problem, enabling him to target a December return.
The manager said: "Paul Scholes has started training. It's only straight running and nothing serious but it's good to see him overcome the injury itself and move onto the next part of his rehabilitation.
"I think he will be available to go to the World Club Championship in Japan. That's what we have pencilled in."

It was a big risk to sign him in the first place.
Anyway, Wes is out and Fletcher is a doubt according to manutd.com
I'd start Park on the right and Ronaldo on the left.
EDIT: 3000th post

I'd play a 4-3-3 as their defence is looking worse than ours

Carrick Anderson Park and ROnaldo for the midfield.
Park did a bang up job against chelski and im sure he can replicate his performances.
I'm going to miss the match as I've got my own match to play. Noooo!

Predictions?
I usually worry about games like this, but for some reason I don't this year round? I think us winning the Champions League has taken a lot of the "worry" out of football for me, as I'd been dreading we wouldn't win it again for longer than we actually did.

Still, we would have got 3/4 of our hardest games out the way.

It's a derby though. In fact, it's a derby that all our players never seem to be interested in.

I thought he didn't touch him at first, but I thought he clipped Diaby after watching the replay.

to be fair it was a lazy attempt and quite sure he did clip him. Regardless of being a goal down it was a decent half.

If we're not going to get a penalty for that, we won't get one for anything.
Creating openings, but can't pick out the final pass. When we do, we waste it.
Here's hoping for a draw out of this game.
