yeah i have both albums and they are a quality band.

i hope their third will be good but i heard that Gwyneth Paltrow is gonna sing on one of the tracks, so that should be a bit of a let down.

Personally I've always found Coldplay's music dry and stagnant... well the singles I've heard anyway, but that's just my oppinion.

The music sounds a little depressing but the lyrics are quite uplifting. I agree Parachutes was a bit repetitive . But are they any more depressing than bands like Radiohead?

I went to a bar called The Social on Gt Portland St in London on Friday and met some friends. One of my mates said he had been there from early afternoon and Chris Martin and Simon Pegg had come in and had some drinks! My mate ended up talking to them as the place was empty!

I quite liked the song with the video of them in the boat, I don't think it was actually a single though, and can't think what it was called...Talking of "popstars in bars", I went for a pint in a pub called "the happy mixer" in London only to see the drummer & guitarist from Blur having a refreshing bevvie or ten!!

I'm sorry I just can't find it in my heart to like them what so ever. They are bland, but some songs are slightly catchy which makes them stick in your head but it soon droans on and turns into THESE WORDS BY NATASHA BEDDINGFIELD! I hate that song

Coldplay are very good, I have both their albums and my two favourite songs are Yellow and God put a smile upon my face...though there not top of my fav bands list at the moment im afraid... ;)

Boring, bland, mundane wankers, who happen to make a few canny songs.

Parachutes was a class album - shame they went up their own arses for the follow up, which was too bland and repitive.

Cant stand Chris Martin though.
