You two are the ones who know all about that side of so I wouldn't expect many answers from anyone else!
I suppose you are right Zygalski,
Right the numbers are located in the tex_pl file, around 40-51, you have to look closely to actually see it, or look at the alpha channels.
Editing them is a bit tougher, I haven't tried my hand at it myself...but from what pfeiffer mentioned, I know...
Konami Letter format is about "15by72 pixels /1 letter"
Letter format of this screen shot is about "15by40 pixels /1 letter"
Important Point is only about 15 pixels in width.
Otherwise look at the current look of the numbers and edit accordingly, if you check the transparency mask you will see how the numbers are coming out.

i really don't get how you edit the numbers, because all there is, is a grey pixels??? not even in the shape of the numbers! When is pfeiffer's premiership lettering coming out? and wen is bloody english evolution comin out! ive been waitin 4 ages 4 them!
I think pfeiffer is busy with work or school or something. English evolution won't be out before the Wedoit and WEndetta club patches. :)
With the numbers it's all about what shades of grey you have visible and which you don't. If you see the picture attached, where you have all the possible windows open, you will see the slightly different shades of grey and how they use the transparency of each to make the numbers appear (if you didn't know already).
Take them palettes over to photoshop or whatever, but I would suggest just using 3 colours, so you have visible, invisible (but surround the visible) and invisible (the black stuff around it).

That looks quite deep.
Is the point of all this to change the font to make it easier to read or just a different kind of jazziness?
Mainly in order to enhance our we6fe experience :D
We were waiting on a patch by pfeiffer, we could well see them in the English Evolution, as there are 4 styles you can edit you could have Premiership, Div 1 ;) and Madrid style.
Only 1 attachment a post I guess, as you can see these premiership numbers are pretty good :) Lets hope we see them soon.
EDIT and clean out your pm inbox Zygalski ;)

Those numbers look good.
If the name text was thicker it would be much better so is that at all possible?
I am on my way to sort out my PMs!

i exported the pallete from we picture decoder and it won't load in paintshop pro 7. its pretty complicated, i think that if i just understood it a bit more id be able to do it.
I agree name text should be thicker, I think I remember something about fixed width, but you can change the height. I'm not too sure because questions appeared before pfeiffer disappeared.
The pictures are from pfeiffer himself, but from what I've seen of the WEndetta patch they might have premiership numbers...
EDIT: middle picture

cool. did pfeiffer say how long till his patch will be available?
mike, could you give me just a little bit more help please mate?
He didn't say, just got busy I guess.
I'll try my best to help.
Take the original pictures, then you should be able to see the palette or colour range (and save that, under whatever format it will accept). Then you will have to use some sort of stencil or numbering which you could easily colour. I'm pretty sure if you made 1 colour, and then surrounded it with another and that with another, then as long as you handle the transparency it should be alright.

ARGH, this is annoying, to be honest, i havnt got a clue what to do or why?!
paintshop pro 7 won't load the pallete file because we pic decoder saves them as .plt, paintshop only loads .pal
what programs should i use mike?
Yes take the numbers into paintshop pro.
Well from that earlier picture with all the windows opened, you will see the palette and the transparency windows (on the right, one on top of the other). You will notice these correspond to each other, so when the transparency is black that particular colour will be invisible, and when it's white it will be visible. With all the other degrees of greyness are the areas around the number so that the edges are rounded and look real, so they are semi transparent.
EDIT: to get the palette open in paintshop pro, go to the palette or colour range, save that as a .pal, then edit and load that when you are done.

oh i see, i understand that now...so basically id have to work out which pixels to make black, so they can't be seen, and which to make white so they are visible to make any style of numbering?
Yeah that's the idea, the bits in between will probably cause you the most bother, and trying to keep the format the same. But I'm sure you'll be fine ;)

thanks. do i change the pixel colours in we decoder?
Hmmm you could do, but then you have to replace every picture, all 4 styles. Probably best to sort it all out in paintshop, then make sure it's 4 bit colour (I think).

hmm, it sounds easy, but can't i just have, like, a white number and the rest of the tiny square black, or does the rest of the square have to be grey/white?
That's what I was wondering, you could try it and see. That's really the only method I could suggest.

fair enuff. il try that then.
i did my own adboard the other day, but they don't work. they are invisble in the game, is it something to do with the transparency?
Probably, did you make sure it was White in the WEPD?

All this editing is for WE6:FE and not PES2.
Yes, the image of the game CD is edited on the PC.
Burn the game disc to CD to play on PS2.
(Lots of burning and many disks needed!)
