I'm buying my girlfriend a digital camera for xmas, i was thinking about a Fujifilm Finepix Z5. Anyone know if that's any good or has any other suggestions. My Budget is about £100
My brother got that exact same camera yesterday. It seems to be a great quality camera.

Cheers m8, i know i can get it in pc world/curry's for £89.99 but it's for the mrs so i'm gonna look for the pink one.
Do you know how easy it is to use because my girlfriend isn't the most technical minded?
It seems fairly easy to use, even for the technically challenged. Although, trying to show my sister how to delete photos off of her cheap simple camera was a struggle, so you'd never know when it comes to women.

women don't even know when it comes to women.
I'm sure i'll be able to work it out and show her. She's one of these girls who loves website like myspace and bebo so i though a digital camera was ideal.
She won't even know the difference :smug:

Canon/Olympus/Nikon > Fuji, and you can get them for around the £100 region.
On a serious note though....

ads she'll spend the first hour looking for the screen, it will be painfull to watch. I will video it, but it will be painful.
That one is a belter
I think i'm gonna have to go with the fujifilm finepix.
Women are like magpies, they look for things which are shiney or nice looking, the fujifilm is pink, you do the math :D

Mate, I sell cameras for a living not that many people like the Finepix, a fair few girls think it's tacky so be careful. I would strongly suggest something like the Olympus X-785 or Nikon Coolpix C200. If you can afford it, the Canon Ixus 75 might still be £119.99 in some places instead of the usual price of £169.99 in which case that's a fantastic deal.

Went out last night to Curry's and bought the fujifilm finxpix Z5 in silver. It's compact, looks good and for the price seems brilliant. Now i'll have to wait till christmas and see if my girlfirend feels the same...........

I'm not totally sure but I remember Original recommended not getting Sony HD tvs. I have both a Bravia tv and Cyber Shot cam. I just like getting screwed over by Sony, although it has only been the Vaio that fucked up...so far:unsure:

Sony are generally good at everything they do, they can't afford to put out a poor product as their whole company is set on the foundation of it's prestige. Everyone knows Sony, and as is seen above, they are recognised as a good name. Sony TVs, laptops and cameras are all good, however they're not the best and are generally overpriced.
If you're unsure about the products your buying, going for a Sony will normally get you a good quality product, however if you do a little research you can normally find better models for cheaper from other brands who actually have a better brand in that particular market.
Digital Cameras: Canon/Nikon/Olympus > Fuji/Sony/Panasonic
LCD/Plasma TVs: Samsung > LG/Sony > Phillips/Toshiba etc.
