View Full Version : The Best Striker in La Liga?
I'm sure i'm forgetting someone.
You may be thinking what is Messi doing there because he plays wide, but the kid is a goal scorer.
My choice would be either him or Villa, but i have a healthy respect for RvN.
Ruud van Nistelrooy for me. He's the ultimate finisher in my opinion.

Yup Ruud Van Nistelrooy get's my vote. Excellent finisher
Messi because I think he's superb technical skills and he scores easy.
van Nistelrooy gets my vote. Great finisher and a good header of the ball.

Van nistelrooy,henry isnt performing yet
I'd say Henry is the best player in the league but as far as putting the ball in the back of the net, how could you not pick van Nistelrooy?
King Henry of course. Van Nistelrooy just happens to be the form player now but on top form, no one can compare.
Even Eto'o could challenge Van Nistelrooy for top spot but once again injuries are doing him bad.
Henry's skill is too natural. The most technically gifted player if you ask me.

Even back in the day he was banging them in.
Ruud is good.
He's old but still performs well.

King Raúl.

It beats me how you can be so biased.

You forget that Van Nistelrooy has been doing it in Holland, England, the Champions League and now Spain. It is hardly form, it's just class.

RVN without a shadow of a Nistelrooy.
Hate to say it but RVN. Eto'o and Forlan are very classy as well. Messi can create goals out of nothing. Henry has been a major let down.
Van the man. Unfortunately.
Messi is the best player on the list, but van Nistelrooy is the best striker.

got to be Ruud Van Nistelrooy the boy is just immense
He can't even dribble

Dribbling isn't a requirement of a striker though
And finishing also.
If you can dribble but has a poor finished it's no use right?
It beats me how you can be so biased.
What are you on about ? Am being objective here. I know RVN has been more consistent but just because Yakubu is more consistent than Ronaldo doesn't make him a better player
And finishing also.

Poor finishing ??? Henry knows of no such thing. Blind, you must be.

You may want to add that he's a god that can do no wrong and the best player who ever lived as well?
*Edit* And back to the topic, it's Vanistelrooy, easily.
It's not like Van Nistelrooy's only quality is finishing, like some seem to suggest.

Summed up quite nicely , no need for me to say much more really but you can't choose anyone but Ruud as a goalscorer, the man has always been a machine, his records speak for themselves..

His best quality is his instinct for knowing how plays will unfold. You don't just happen to be in the right place at the right time, it's not luck. That combined with very good touch and a great shot make him absolutely deadly.
He also scored a great shot from outside the box a few days ago :)
I love how all of the people saluting Van Nistelrooy are for the majority, the ones who said he wasn't really that good, he just scored goals.

Well a striker is there to score goals, and you can't argue that he isn't one of the very, if not the best at doing so.
His overall game isn't that great though, hence Henry always being better in my eyes.

Currently? Raul. Van Nistelrooy, Eto'o, Henry, Kanoute, and Villa are also dangerous.
Tamudo can also be a beast on his day, especially against the bigger clubs. :)
Milito should definitely get a mention as well. Not the best, but consistent and deadly.
Munitis, Messi-esque player, is also quite a pacy little bastard. I've always enjoyed watching him play.
