View Full Version : Pro Evo 2009 to have indoor mode
According to wikipedia PES2009 will have a indoor mode. If this is confirmed to be true this will be an excellent idea.
What do you think?
It also says that Man U and Arsenal will be fully licensed again.

Its most probably bullshit.
That is great news I must say.
The indoor mode of FIFA 97(I think it was:unsure:) was fun!

I might be wrong but I'm sure this was said about previous PES games and it was completely wrong? It would be really fun though, and I would love an indoor mode.

I think ISS used to have and indoor game... but it would be awesome if it was a futsal with the size 3 heavy ball...
That is great news I must say.

Indoor 5 a side would have the potential to be great as long it doesnt turn out like FIFA street and making Man United and Arsenal the licensed sides for PES 2009 is only sensible. Whose idea was it to make Newcastle and Spurs the licensed sides.
2 most likely english licensed sides would be Man U and Arsenal or Man U and Liverpool.

yeah 5 a side and kick ins instead pf free throws... adjust the ball physics just a bit so the ball wouldnt bounce everywhere.. would be sic

Stuff this just give me a proper manager mode , more leagues and great footy.

i think indoor mode would be a good laugh, but it's probably only a smoke screen to hide the ever present flaws of PES2008
I would rather like to see them spent more time making a proper pes without all the problems we have now.

my feelings exactly
I would rather they concentrate on having celtic properly licenced.........

men instead of this they should fix cup names logos real player names leagues and evrything else that would realy be the greatest pes

firstly if it was same kind of movement as it is now it would be impossible, i think the pitch is too small on pes. it can take even a good player a few meters to beat someone and indoor you cant have that, which is why the old fifa worked well, you could manouver on the spot
also instead of indoor id much rather see a stadium creator and a better edit mode, the kit edit at the mo is ridiculous, 90% of the parts look crap. i find it hard to keep creating kits with such awful designs

using wikipedia for a reference = Fail ...unless its for random facts, even then it is still questionable.
Did it (used to) say it would have indoor mode on the main PES Wiki page?
Because now at least, this is all they have for the 09 write-up...
A brand new series of gameplay modes for PES 2009 are apparently already complete and Seabass is also promising that there will be a series of 'crucial' changes to gameplay which will help him fulfill his vision for subsequent next gen versions of the game.
Pes 2009 is also speculated to be the first truly next-generation version of PES, in the series, it appears the game will be overhauled in every aspect according to Seabass, due to PES 2008's varying reviews
...So, nothing about indoor mode on there. Although it does mention new modes.
was MEANT to be on this pro to lol, its rumors. I swear down tho, the BETTER liscense Man U and Arsenal, lets be honest there the two best in the Premiership and there two Elite global clubs, WTF is up wit relegation candidates Newcastle and leaders of the bottom half Tottenham?

i hope its true about the indoor mode that would be a laugh and have great skills, but not like fifa street.

Don't think you can really blame them for having Spurs and Newcastle licensed to be honest. They were expected to do a lot better than they have been doing so far this season.
And don't forget, we've already had the likes of Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea all licensed in the previous 2 versions of the game.
Of course, we'd love all the PL teams to be licensed...but that just isn't gonna happen.
I just hope the editing in 09 improves so that we can input our own badges/kits again, whoever gets licensed.
I wouldn't bet against it being something like Man City and Everton this time around.

If they bothered to make a new indoor mode, I'd be writing to lawyers asking them to sue for the bollocks they churned out this year with the main gameplay.

i think everyone would
At least we're weren't a complete "embarrassment" to Konami like Newcastle, we did thrash Ar5ena1 and go on to beat Chelsea in a cup final after all. ;)

Given the chance, maybe.
But Milan don't compete in the Carling Cup. :P

Given their performance against Spurs, I'd say we didn't compete in it either!
I'll only believe everything when its been confirmed by them self (Konami).

Nope. Would probably suck more than Gillian Taylforth.

Ahhh, common sense at last. I don't know where your all getting these indoor ideas from, but i wouldn't believe any hype. Look at what happed for this years edition... the new screeshots of players were released & everyone thought they'd be animated!
Hold your hopes and quietly cross your fingers.

Fuck the Carling Cup dude, its all about the bigger championships, which Spudz can't reach.

True, but you're players were still gutted when they lost to Chelsea

Yep, Fifa 97. I remember really enjoying playing the indoor mode, then they got rid of it in the next few Fifa games for some reason.
As this isn't in the Wikipedia article now, I'm guessing it was some dude just editing it, but I think PES should have features like this as it would add to the game so much. Stuff like classic challenges, such as "you're 2-0 down with 5 minutes left, can you bring it back and win the game?" would be great too.

they wont put any new game modes in, from the scenarios on snes the closest theyve come is world tour which is imo something theyve put into make you feel like this is a diff game
FrankGrimes

world tour was a good addition but they need to have it on the 360 and combine it with the achievements. And the achievements should all have to be done on at least regular or proffessional. i know guys who got Sniper etc. on beginner, wheres the challenge in that?

Fuck that shit. Probably someone inside Konami wrote that just to stir up some hype for their supposedly "next-gen" PES. Last two PES have been so disappointing I wish FIFA would make they're game better so that I can help EA not Konami. FUCK KONAMI!!

The thing you all have to realise is..Konami are too fucking lazy to add new modes, they should realise that FIFA08 is out selling PES2008. I've honestly been playing FIFA08 more than PES2008, i get so bored of 8-4 on PES.
Seriously, the possibility of having indoor mode is well very unlikey..I would love the addition would prove Konami have been listening to us. But in all honesty i wouldn't be suprised if Konami used PES2008 as a base and then just added new kits, players, stats. I wouldn't get too excited about "Indoor Mode" or any other because they are too lazy to do that. I see the difference between PES6 and PES2008 but really its not alot.
What i think KONAMI should do:
Go back to "Old School PES" they know they have created the best PES in the "Past" i played PES4, PES5 and PES6 alot..i now though play FIFA08 alot. Please Konami, go back to "Old School PES" back in the days when you completely blew us away.
Thats all they should do:
Combine the Old School PES with say "Next-Gen PES"
Example
PES6 on PS2 with say the commentary, graphics, diving, shirt pulling ect ect from PES2008
How many of you would play PES2009 if it was like PES6 with the commentary, graphivs, diving, shirt pulling from PES2008 i know i would.
anyone remember striker on the snes? that had a great indoor mode
Used to love playing Striker on the SNES....and the indoor mode did rock

pes6, pes5 and pes4 were all pretty addictive. konami need to improve erevything and get gameplay back to its best.
Indoor mode would be welcomed greatly but I wouldnt mind if they excluded it in exchange for better gameplay and editing mode.
konmai should release a pes street game to replace that crappy fifa street
dribbling on pes 2008 is so easy anyway theres no point
