Needing some help and information for a friend of mine asap please.

Basically he is a keen photographer and has thousands of photos on his comp. As such he often burns them to a blank disc and hands them over to whomever has asked for their picture to be taken.

To save on some cash he is trying to get rewritable discs. The plan is that he can just copy over them.

He bought Memorex High Speed CD-RW discs. Rewritable discs for computed CD writers.

Any idea why when he tries to put the pics on the disc, they do not appear.

Help is appreciated.

Is his drive capable of recording to re-writable CDs? At a guess, I'd say no.

The manufacturer and model number of his drive would soon reveal the answer to my question.

He has an HP E.System Intel Pentium 4 Inside, Windows XP and it states on the front it has a DVD and CD Writer.

The Model is: Ei 302

Original?

The trouble is not all DVD/CD writers will record to all DVD/CD formats, I'll let Sweey find out what Optical Drive that system has as I'm off out. It may just be an incompatability with the brand of CD-RW however, but Memorex are a decent brand so I'd be surprised.

Supposedly has a dual layer DVD RW drive which will therefore be able to handle rewritable CDs. All I can suggest is he try another brand of rewritable CD in his drive.

The only other solution I've so far found was uninstalling IBM keyboard drivers :erm:

I'll just suggest to him to try a different brand then

Thanks for the help anyway.
