animation software/programmes

does anyone know any good software or programmes for animations. i dont mind paying for one or even a download of a website.

i want to make little animations such as a short clip cartoons etc.

anyone know of any decent programmes or software?

Adobe Flash is a great piece of software for animation and what not. It'd be a bit expensive to purchase, but perhaps you could find other ways of obtaining it.

Quite a coincidence, that's who I got mine off of also. :)
I used to mess around with Flash years ago on my old computer, making little animations and that, it was great. I've recently aquired it, just a few days a go actually, and am learning the basics again, most of which I've forgotten through the years. Great program it is.
