How can i play pes 2008 online.I tried this i got enthernet cable pluged it into my ps2 and i went to network and it was searching for internet connection but it didnt find it.I got a ps2 slim so please help me

i thought that for the slim ps2 you dont need a network adapter

you dont need the adaptor for the slim version which is why im trading in my fat one for the slim one. save £20 in total if i was to buy an adaptor.

Thanks man but how would i get it online i mean i used the enthernet cable and it didnt work

wait you put the Ethernet cable in the ps2 and the other end of the Ethernet cable in your modem, it should work then :\

yeah but i think its because i got 2 enthernet sockets for my firts one i use my internet but for my ps2 i pluged it in the second socket do you think i should plug it in my first socket

I think you need the network disc only for the fat ps2

Well see if i take it out my internet from the socket and then after i checked if my ps2 online is working and then i take the internet cable plug it back and then would i need to install my internet again?

some odd modem you got there.

so how many ports have you got on your modem? i have 4.

get the one currently in you comp or laptop and put that in the ps2.

if you want to go on the net aswel then get another Ethernet cable and plug that one into the 2nd port and the other end in your comp or laptop.

Its working now but i pluged it in the second socket and created internet configure on my ps2 and it worked

pes2008 its terrible online because its so laggy and a lot of cheaters.But pes 6 is really good there is hardly lag but there is some cheaters aswell but not alot

if your modem has multi connections to other computer sockets like mine then yes. the downloads speeds will be shared though so i don't recommend doing both if you dont have a fast speed.

PS2 and PS3 online play has always been free regardless of the game you're attempting to play online.

It looks like you've got everything set up and connected properly.

So just try connecting to the game servers. Go to the Network screen and it should be plain sailing from there.

It may ask you for a Network Configuration file from your Memory Card if you don't already have one. But like I said, it should be plain sailing to create a Network Configuration file and yes, you will need a Memory Card in order to connect to the game servers.
