I'm not sure how the captain of our team is being chosen.
I can see people fighting over this. Maybe everyone should get a chance? I don't think that the captain affects the play of a team although I have a sneaky suspicion that a captain who is on bad form arrow will make the team play worse. Just a guess though.

Maybe people shouldn't be able to nominate themselves?

the goalkeeper will always stay on thru a match, and they also have the highest mentality stats of the whole team. which should reflect well when the team is losing.

I'd say Badgerman, for his ability to un-demoralise the team. Or lift the team's morale. Un-demoralise is a double negative. But it sounds "cool." Even though to sound, or be, "cool" is not actually cool anymore. It used to be, back when yo-yo's were all the rage, but now if you say "cool" people look at you like you just walked into their house on Christmas Day and pissed on their kids. Still, in terms of right or wrong, un-demoralisation is the key to a good captain. Badgerman's 'vision' is also very good, I mean we know that from his artistic skills.

Other reason:

I vote for Badgerman purely and simply on the basis of licking his arse. Voila.
