I think they will as they cant afford to lose the massive fan base that pro evo has.

I hope so. £50 for a sub standard game is a rip off. They need to get to grips with the power they have with the ps3

Thats true as it is only now that games devolpers are beginning to get the power out of the ps3.

Ditto with the 360 also. Konami need to change something, the gameplay to start with. More Editing powers too. Like with PES6 on the PSP

I think there profits should be very high given the amount of people they ripped off with PES08. its still selling for £45

Developers haven't even stroked the surface yet mate. You think your fan whirrs due to hard work? Nope. It's boredom. All we've seen so far are glimpses. Things, as they say, can only get better*.

(*Although looking at some of the games on the horizon, they might get a little worse first)

You've noticed the lack of a decent price drop for PS3 as well then. Fucking disgrace really, especially when you can get a more complete, and by that i mean editable, version for half the price on other systems.

I'm downloading Winning Eleven 9 International as we speak. :coffee:

EDIT: No, I no longer am. I downloaded the first part, there's Doom 2 in it.

While PES2008 was an improvement it really was not what we expected. Methinks two years is enough to sort it out.

On another note, I need to get PES5!

konami no they messed up big time on pes2008 so now they have got a 9 months or so to sort it out. I know they will because sea bass wont want to lose his fans to fifa . i was brought on fifa as a kid on my megadrive but once i saw evo out on playstation i have never looked back. Yes fifa has the kits and the sponsors but it aint even close to pes's gameplay which konami let us down this year. fingers crossed come on konami make it work this time. ;)

Do you think Konami will get it right with Pes 2009?

Answers itself really

I read somewhere that seabass wanted more time to improve the game, but sony forced konami to release the game within the release date... seabass was unhappy about that... I think 09 will be much better.
