View Full Version : MOH - Rising Sun
Does anyone have this yet? (PS2) Am picking it up at the weekend and was wondering if it was worth buying.
if its any improvement on MOH Frontline, then it will be unbelievably good....

if you want a war game then i suggest "call of duty" it destroys MOH in every asspect. MOH seems way to easy and feels like your god compare to every1 else. Where as "call of duty" its all equal and wayy harder!! MOH is decent but for war games i suggest "call of duty" and "battle field 1942" :)
cheers mate, but MOH on the hardest setting was prob the most hardest game i have ever played - felt like beating myself to death on the last few levels.
i mite rent out the lot and then lay down the nuggets for the best one
Online I play Day of Defeat...but I have heard good things about CoD.

Yeah i was gonna suggest just trying all out :D
My mate had it and then 1 week later it was completed!! I havent completed it yet... to be honest ive hardly played it  :( My other mate got Call of Duty around about the same time... seems no sign of him completing it :D COF longer :D
I find COF more fun though... theres this cool movie thing which happens. Oh the whole atmosphere is just excellent!!
CoD is deffo the better. MoH is half decent tho. Exactly like the others but in Japan.
cod's better then rising sun but its still an allied assault (frontline) wannabe
allied assault was and still is the best world war game ever out
but still cod is your best bet, if you say you liked frontline half of the people that made that left to work on cod so :p

Rising Sun is nothing brilliant
The first-player story is way too easy and short - my mate completed it in less than a week. We completed the two player campaign in a day! The multiplayer is good though - so if your gonna play that a lot TDub it will be more value for money.
I'd go for Call of Duty if i were you.

its pants in single player, multi player is quite good if you get 2 people who are good at it!, me and my cousin have spent loads of time on it (not as much as pes3 tho), however im sure there are other good 2 players games on ps2, if anyone can name them let us know!

MOH does indeed suck in comparison to COD... and MOH RS for the PS2 is terrible completely uninventive and boring don't waste 40 quid.

I agree. Rising Sun was over before I really got started. The previous one 'Allied Assualt' was much better.
Only decent bit in Rising Sun, for me, is racing round the harbour trying to shoot down Zero's. The rest yawns.
Must admit to having given up on Shoot'em ups. I find them so one dimensional and boring.
I am really into CM 03/04. I love being bombarded with detail and having to carry out research. Shot'em ups just cannot give that same buzz.
Anyway 'Doom' rules. :D

MoH: Rising Sun is one of the best 4-player multi-player games out there.
Still, it's not Goldeneye. Plus, the only decent level to play multi-player on is Battleship.
Personally, I'd get it if you've got a mate who's got a multitap, or if you have one yourself.
There are probably better first-player games, but not many better multi-player ones.
Worms 3D takes everything apart. Except for Sensible Soccer, and Chrono Trigger.
Well lads, after all the advice i went and bought it last weekend, and am selling it today. what a load of crap - i fucked my control pad against the wall last nite in rage. its as if it was put together by kids. a disimprovement on Frontline by miles.
