I'm proud to say I saw them live before everyone hopped on the band wagon ;)
Their songs aren't ground breaking and they don't claim to be, but they put on a fantastic show live. The whole thing just kind of its into place if you go and see them live, if you just buy the CD and judge them on that then you're probably missing the point.
I've gotta say I'm annoyed at how many people have jumped on to the band wagon though (don't mean you here Giggsy ;) ) because there are many better bands out there.
im sorry but i beg to differ. if the aforementioned bandwagon happened to pass my street, id shoot it :D
fair enough if they do a good concert or have a good album, i dont really go to concerts, and i dont really buy albums. in fact, you will probably toss my opinion to one side because you think im not a real music fan, and thats fair enough, i dont claim to be one.
but why the fuck does he grab his balls and go about 20 notes higher in the middle of the chorus to 'i believe in a thing called love' ??? ???

Hehe, as I've said...if you saw it live you'd probably get it ;)
Watching him do it live in a cat suit with half his pubes sticking through the top (not that I'm gay, it's just funny) along with 50,000 people trying to reach the same note...brilliant stuff!

I just think there songs are kool, no matter how squeky they sound;) Its sumet diffrent :)
you should make an extention to your sig... 'You will be aroused by a shampoo commercial, and the geezer from the darkness live in concert with his pubes out'
:D
or not.
oh well, it does sound amusing i have to say, but i just wanted to dissagree with giggsy :p its my job!

I could never put that in my sig, there could be ladies about. I don't want people thinking I'm getting a bit Dale Winton in my old age ;)

I think the darkness are o.k. At least they're something different... However I'm a bit worried about an interview I read about them in Time Out (I think)... They're actually serious. They adore spandex-trousered poodle-haired stadium rock from '83-'89!! I can't help but think they are a 1 or 2 album curiosity shop thingy...
giggsy, i dont use kazaa. what are you talking about?

I like their songs, the 'Thing Called Love' video was a bit strange though.

Yeah, but what a chilled-out way of getting dry after a bath!

I know someone who did too, I think she slept with Justin and he gave he a signed guitar.
Maybe if they were from Liverpool the would be bigger
BTW the dude with the walrus moustache has left (bass guitar) because of 'musical differences' but really he feels like an outsider because the other three grew up together.
They have a lot of talent.. they seem to copy Queen and AC/DC... Queen solos and AC/DC riffs. If you listen to their christmas song, it sounds very similar to Queen's "Sombody to love".
Original?

They're a laugh, decent tracks and don't take themselves too seriously. I'd much rather listen to the Darkness then a lot of the crap out there, that being said they're not 'saviors of rock' as some people proclaimed them, I didn't even know rock needed saving!

Well put, I think people think that because rock songs aren't always number 1 in the charts people assume that it's not as popular but I think the crazy frog proved that the number one song doesn't have to be popular and the charts in general are a bit of a farce.
And yeah they do sound a bit like Queen and AC/DC, more AC/DC, but that's because they grew up listening to them and learned their music from them. There's no hard feelings between the bands though as AC/DC have done a few gigs with the Darkness. so they obviuosly don't feel as if they're copying their music.
