What improvements should be introduced or is it perfect already?

my suggestions:

Online ML
Make it actually challenging to win
More made up youngsters
More divisions
Players moan when left out of team
More injuries
Speak to other teams
Other teams have managers
Realistic transfer negotiations
Media

Probably think of more later

1- Most importantly manager contract/movement. If i feel like movin' on to another team when my contract expires then i should be able to do so. Maybe even sacked due to not meeting the board's expectations. That is better than getting bored 4 seasons later and restarting ML with another team.

2- Add 2nd division leagues for all the current 1st division leagues in PES. For example Serie B with Serie A, Championship with EPL, etc. Couldn't care less if they were licensed really as long as i have a decent real-life like experience.

Quoted in agreement.

some sort of academy for each team, with youngsters coming through to the 1st team.

maybe with a youth/reserve team that gets experience but not as much as first team

I just want it to be more difficult to build a world class team.
PES takes 3 seasons to get a team that can compete with the best this is mainly due to players developing too quickly and acquiring players too easily.
In my 3 MLs that I have started getting Del Horno and Veron are just too easy while Schwarz is just too good players like him should be snapped up by the bigger teams.

Yeah this is why there should be player interaction when big teams bid for your latest prodigy you should have to fight to keep them, offering better contracts etc

Player developement should be hidden and random a player who doesn't play regularly or wants a transfer stats should drop.
It could improve again if he gets regular game time or more money.

Sponsors should be attained giving money depending on popularity and team rating.
This money is needed to pay staff, maintaining grounds and travel etc. It would be so much better than just paying salaries. The bigger the club the more expenses.

I agree.

By the way, yesterday I played PES4 on the PS2 at my mates and all I can say is even PES6 is shit after playing that again. :crymore:

I'd like PES 09 to have the gameplay PES4 has + the little improvements here and there + have a class in-game editor.

But knowing Konami, that is asking too much.

I need to get hold of PES4 for PC sooner or later.

Playing WE8LE myself which is sort of equivalent to PES4 with slight improvements. Really good game it is.

Indeed. I played with the power house that Real Madrid is, yet I still found it to be a bit of a challenge to score a goal.(A challenge because I've been playing PES08/6 for quite a while)

Anyone played pro evolution management before? If they can implement that game into PES/WE's ML it would be great.

Some screens from pro evolution management:

Looking at them screens ML would be so much better if they used that. So simple yet so effective

I'd suggest posting the best of those suggestions at the "PES Suggestions" section of PESFan as soon as possible! Otherwise all we can do is hope.

The next gen consoles have the capability to have a full on ML experience.

Just ANYTHING to keep it interesting after 4 seasons. ANYTHING. Even a hoarde of locusts eating my keeper mid-game.

Pro Evolution Soccer: The Gathering?

I'd buy that for a dollar.

Yes, me too.

My friend downloaded Winning Eleven 9.

All I have to do now is wait for him to get back home and find a good OF, post-world cup. Any idea, which one?

Use real cash instead of PES points. It's only a little thing, so is all the more achieveable. Last year it was rumoured to have been implemented, along with a 3rd division, but they were bullshitting.

haz32
20-04-2008, 13:14
They should make 'european cup' really hard to win. add some longevity

and maybe implement internationals properly, having world cups etc post season

should be harder to find great cheap players like in FM

The Eristic
20-04-2008, 19:37
Speaking of cups, why not try to make things a little more varied? I've played my current ML for seven or eight seasons now, and the ONLY teams I've had in the EMC final are Barca and Real Madrid, both of whom I've beaten every single time. It's getting really old. :^/

Include a separate set-piece formation editor for Corners and Freekicks in edit mode and formation screen, for both defensive and offensive set-pieces, not just choose 3 players to go up.

For example, have Ferdinand, Vidic, Carrick, Ronaldo, and Brown in the box with Rooney, Tevez, Scholes, and Evra waiting outside the box during an offensive set-piece in the set-piece editor. And again pick whoever you want during a defensive set-piece.

Whenever we have a Corner or a Freekick, this formation auto-loads. This is better than the random one we have already with short players mostly in the box instead of bigger ones. Plus you are in total control of all their positioning. This definitely improves set-pieces and make it real-life like.

I agree - the amount of times I've been caught because there's no-one attacking a corner for me between the edge of their box and the halfway line - if they clear it it's very easy to run up the pitch and it's something like 3vs2 in their favour. And yeah if you're losing you should be able to swamp the box.

Oh and also - don't think anyone's mentioned this, but I can't seem to be able to play my ML team in friendlies like I used to be able to. I can play with them - but with their starting data, not the stats I've earned by being monotonously successful. I enjoyed whupping my mates' Man United arse with my Sheff Wed side!

And expand that to online and it's like sex crossed with Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough ice cream - wow! (note: I haven't tried mixing those two things together, although my curiosity is alerted)

My gripe is the effects of transfers amongst the CPU teams. I set transfers to 'Normal', so you get a fair few transfers a season. The thing that really annoys me is when a CPU team makes a few transfers, the team shirt numbers are hugely effected. You get Totti who wears number 10 wearing number 4, etc. I know it doesn't effect game play, but it's just stupid. This happened in PES6 too.

Just a few things:

Like the Idea of having the lower leagues. How about getting a team from the conference and getting them to the prem.

You should be able to comment on over managers or players to the press, like you can on FM. Would be good for when matchday comes.

Also, If your team wins a trophy, why not have a trophy parade.

Good call - I am somewhat nitpicky over player's numbers, so that kinda thing annoys me.

Also, I set my transfers on high, because it seems to be the most realistic one, and I looked through all the squads (I'm in 2012) and I'd say about 80% of most teams are the same. This isn't realistic, even Man U (who are the most settled team I can think of) have very few players who they've kept for five years

something i think should be included or changed, is when you load your ML team in netwrok play you should be able to keep all the ratings changes or improvements that you have managed to do to your young stars etc. because if you have a starting line up wth an average age of 24 or something and you have managed to improve their stats so they are good enough to compete with ronaldinho etc, then why should they go back to default when you do online play? that just makes all your hard work seem pointless.
