Nice one with the section. Is there anyone on here who hasn't pre-ordered? What do you all think my chances of picking up the game without too much trouble on release day?
Mat, I haven't pre-ordered but I rang my local store earlier and they said they can guarantee me a copy if I go in there and pay a fiver. They reckon they'll be selling them normally on the day aswell.
Your from the Richmond-ish area aren't you? There's a game shop down that way called Mad Andy's. He may have them in

Well usually I've no trouble getting any game on release day without having to pay stupid money or anything - the likes of Asda usually have 'em in anyways. If not, no biggie.

I'm actually out on the night of release. Gamestation are doing the midnight release thing, so I might nip in on the way home.
I saw on movietyme it's going for 31.99(40€) But it'll take 7-21 days to reach me :/
Money is tight with summer coming up, I might go for it.

Yeah, I was thinking about getting one of my boys to drive down to the 24 hour Asda/Tesco or something.
That's only if I'm desperate at the time though, I'm not fiending for it yet.

I pre-ordered couple of months back seeing as the 500 free points and 4 gamerpictures for free appealed to me. Turns out they're not 'free' anymore though and I have to pay friggin £47.98 might just cancel it and pre-order the special edition cause there's still plenty of them whereas the standard edition has sold out on pratically every game website going.
Nah, I haven't pre-ordered. I'm pretty sure I won't have a problem getting it on release day.

You won't need to pre-order unless the only gaming shops around you are Game, HMV and Zavvi. Woolworths, Tesco, Asda and PC World, as well as any independent stores, should have stock.

Pre-ordered it from a Dutch site, just before the raised the price and started advertising heavily :smug:
I said i wasn't going to buy GTA until after exams, but i just couldn't resist. Pre-ordered off Play.com today, not to fussed when it arrives.

Glad I didn't pre-order it off gamestation it's £12.99 robbing bastards. :realmad: Haven't pre-ordered my GTA off play so I'll just buy it for £8.99 as you need one of these for any GTA game.

I know. I probably won't be buying until a week after release anyway. I have two near me, so I'll call up and ask if they have any. But if I want to play it sooner, I'll just go into either Currys, HMV, WHSmith, Tesco or Sainsbury's.

We pre-prdered it in game and my broseph is collecting it at 12 bells. I think its in a deal in GAME that we get £10 off a controller, so not too bad.

Quite likely they will be!
I got my copy from asda this morning. We got there about 23.20 and the queue was massive but by 12 it was about double that but we managed to get allocated tickets and then copies of the thing. Can't get enough of it so far!!!

Yes. I pre-ordered at Blockbusters and picked my copy of it at midnight. I have been playing since and right now almost 8.20 am is the first time I have stopped playing and I will continue to keep playing then go to work at 2pm. Online in this game is great. :D

I always seem to get my orders on release date or a day before release from Play.com. GTA arrived this morning.

I pretty much forgot about today and rang up my local Blockbusters and they have some but only for people who reserved them and will get more for pre-orders on Friday. :/ So I thought "ah I can't be arsed to go searching today then" and now I've got the craving and I've been ringing about all the 24 hour Supermarkets and all of 'em are sold out man. :doh:
Anyone want to suggest somewhere to go for a copy tommorow? I'll take a trip down early in the morning but just want to be in and out really.

I picked mine up from Currys on Tuesday afternoon, without pre-ordering. It was actually the last copy they had in stock and they were shocked it had sold out so quickly; they had "never seen an item sell out so quickly".
My son had ordered his from Amazon.com and is still waiting for delivery. I got mine from Asda on morning of release. I let him have my copy as I was at work for the day and said i would have his copy when it came by post. I'm still fucking waiting and yet to play the game. Amazon sent him a email saying it was despatched then later on he had another saying out of stock. Fucking stitched up and pretty angry about Amazon .cons 2 emails contradicting each other. Might email them with a rant about wtf is going on, they have taken the money quick enough.

Why use 365 games?
They don't sell PAL copies of games from what it looks like.
