For me it's the Sanchez goal.
Excellent teamwork and a spectacular finish.
They take much more skill than the hit and hope or long shots that seem to go in too easily on PES2008.

Also really liked the Pirlo first time overhead kick and the Floro Flores lob, the other's were nothing special imo.

I managed to watch the Makinwa and Sanchez ones but they were too broken up. The Ronaldo one looked good but that also froze up. Why can't YouTube be used?

Ya I was thinking the same but then upon viewing his goal compared to the others, I hate to say it but his is pretty awesome in comparison. I don't play PES hardcore (I'm a girl lol) but I've asked a lot of people to recreate it compared with the others and simply it's too difficult. I've scored a few long rangers and stuff and so have other people but at that angle etc, that's where it differs for me. Haven't seen a goal anywhere like this before.

Oh and the overhead from pirlo was cool but King's was out of this world. Good luck to everyone!

Jesus so many haters...hit and hope? Scoring from 25 - 30 yards on PES 2008 isn't the biggest challenge in the world but from that angle with that deliberate curl which I specifically aimed for was the only type of shot that could get it in...the people who have voted for me actually acknowledge this and I garuntee many of them have viewed my compilation and seen my Rooney goal which was the exact same goal but off the ground. To do it on the half volley and in the context of a counter attack makes it a quality goal.

The other goals I do think are high in quality but I'm not deluding myself in saying that mine is better as others clearly think so as well. Put it like this, the people who actually know how difficult it is to score the goal I did have voted for me, the others against me are simply biased due to my addmitedly arrogant attitude...I mean seriously, an overhead from a few yards out after some simple passing being GOTM? No. The only goal that I think rivals mine is the Pirlo overhead, that's a goal that made me say "wow, very nice".

Maybe I and the people who voted for me are perhaps a lot better than a few people on this forum but that is not for me to say...anyway, don't hate and just appreciate beautiful goals regardless of the person scoring them. Peace.

Arrogance is fine, but as Holy_Moly said to you in another thread, what you are doing is bad competition.

For a start the curl on your hit is automatic. Your over-elaborate description of applying curl with the analog stick in your thread is nice, but patently false to anyone that's ever hit a shot with that kind of curl. It's down to the players attributes, timing, and position of the player, simple as.

So as Feanor says, it's a one button hit and hope, a good looking one, but still a simple hit.

2 people that have won previous GOTM contests here with goals better than any on this month's shortlist.

Not a hater in the slightest mate, I just didn't feel the Ronaldo goal was that special as i've scored lots of goals similar to in my top player ML and many which are much better to the point that i just don't save them any more.
If i can score these and better goals on a regular basis then i won't vote for it unless it has something special about it like a lower statted player or some good clean one touch passing or a cheeky bit of skill.

card as its just clutching at straws, you're obviously quite a good PES player as you have some very nice goals in your compilations but there's no need to try and disrespect other people's goals.
There are going to be people here far better than yourself, i or anyone who'll vote for your goal who'd say that your goal is a long L1+triangle/Y held down pass then cancelled around the ball and full power shot with up on the stick pressed.
The curve is added automatic and with a small bit of emphasis on body positioning in the game.
All goes on the stats, Ronaldo has good curve and shot power/acc stats so a shot like this from that player isn't that rare at all.

Credit to you Karoush, it is a very nice looking finish after a good, well spotted counter attacking long pass, if it was scored by a player with lower stats than Ronaldo i'd be very impressed.

Team work and a good finish is always going to take an infinite times more skill than a long pass forward then supercancel around the ball and hit it across and around the keeper, the long pass then hit over and around has been a staple, standard PES move for a lot of years now (since PES3/WE7i) and to be honest it's now far easier to score them on PES 2008 than it ever has been.

Right so in summarising my goal: I've got my friends to join the site and vote for me, theres a huge conspiracy theory as to how I've got 11 votes as I've got 11 of my friends to actually make up those votes, I've pressed a sh*t-load of buttons to hit the shot the way I did as opposed to just hitting the "shoot" button as shooting with the shoot button would be incredibly ilogical wouldn't it, individuals accusing me of "taking it too seriously" yet in saying so have developed an evident obsession with me by typing numerous essays about me but hey, double standards own don't they...and finally the fact I called an everyday lob standard (which it is) makes me a jackass even though no one has a problem with other users stating "that's just ok" or "that doesn't even look like it's on top player" let's all just pick on me. The bottom line is you don't need to talk shit about other people's goals. You don't need to analyze why other people's goals aren't good. That's all there is to it. If you're whining now that people are talking bad about your goal, or accusing you of stuff like multiple votes, it's only because you started it with your shit talking. That's a poor comeback against various facts that I presented (also goes to HolyMoly) as you create an allegation about me "taking it too seriously" yet when I counter this with a factual evaluation from certain viewers visibly typing paragraphs upon paragraphs about me in reply, this gets dismissed with an assumption of me being young. As I previously stated, double standards feel good to use at times but they often make you look like you have sub-normal intelligence levels as you are currently demonstrating.

I'll give you a tip - you never win without facts so keep spouting crap that has no logical thinking behind it and percieving you've made a good point if that's what helps you sleep at night. The lob goal was a standard goal and regarding a forum it's for giving feedback and expressing an opinion, did you know that was the function of a forum? Goals like that "funky Owen goal" etc that didn't make the final 6 but an everyday lob does is rather disappointing, disagree with that if you like but you're only further undermining this whole situtation and yourself.

Well, I'm not even in the contest so I probably shouldn't even reply to what you said but it's hard to ignore it (especially when it's 2am and there's not that much else better to do). I'm 23 and I have my own company (LLC) that makes almost 6 figures a year. I worked at a major corporation (not saying who but it's most likely a processor in your computer) when I was 20, so yea that's your age, right?

Personally I thought the ronaldo goal was best, only because the Sanchez goal isnt that great....too close to the goal and I have personally scored quite a few of them and not even bothered saving it! Dont get me wrong, It is a good goal, but would have been better if scored further away!! anyway thats just my opinion :D

Cheers bDragon, totally agree with you. Scored plenty of goals like the winner had but obviously a volley from a few yards out beats an inch-perfect wonder-strike from a difficult angle. Sad really, as many are saying they wouldn't even have saved the winning goal had they scored it including myself.

Good to see that no one has replied to my questioning of how one can be accused of being a "jackass" by rightfully saying a particular goal is standard and then backing it up with that goal in question having NO votes whatsover but then I just remind myself that the majority of people on this site have sub-human intelligence levels and its reflected in this poll. Quotes such as:

It is not arrogant, biased or inaccurate to say my goal was the best and the only reason I didn't win was down to jealous, sad, "upset" (that's a good one) retarded individuals that didn't vote for me on the basis of not because the goal itself was not awesome, but because of the dislike towards the person who scored it.

XXXmas, you claim that you've viewed my compilations and due to this evaluation upon viewing them, I don't "appreciate a good goal with teamwork". A) You obviously hadn't viewed them in their enteriety as I have included quite a few goals that weren't outside the box based on pure teamwork so cut the bullshit out yeah? B) your goal was average, incredibly average and you yourself know it. In fact, most people that can actually play this game at an even above average standard wouldn't wipe their arse with your goal and this has been well documented with regards to the feedback for your "winner". And C) I have scored every type of goal there is and believe me, there's a reason why most people say "wow" or "holy crap" to mine and "I wouldn't even have saved that" to yours. "They're full of hit and hope goals", yeah really full. Try actually watching the whole thing before concluding it, it helps when giving feedback on something in it's "full" state. My Messi no-look backheel against Man Utd after decent build up play also shits on your accusation of me not appreciating a "classy bit of skill". I have never...EVER seen a goal scored with that type of curl from that position with full power go in apart from mine so to the "individuals" claiming they've scored "similar" (yeah, I bet), why don't you show for all to see. Don't however, show me some bollucks with from a similar angle but straight driven it, side-footed, closer in, or with the outside boot etc, show me a full-powered lace with that same type of curl, 2 defenders closing you down after superb build up play and on a half volley. Oh and for the record I did NOT do any of this "super cancel" bullshit that one accused me of, I had scored that exact same goal with Rooney from the ball on the ground and wanted to better it with scoring it on a half volley by simply shooting with the 'x' button. How anyone can rate average build up with an average finish is a joke and is simply a testament to the average IQ possessed by a lot of the users on this site. I know my request will not be fulfilled though as I would like to reiterate that there are a large proportions of morons on here that defend a goal that recieves a total of ZERO votes "unjustly" accused of being branded "standard", in other words most of you are morons and its very, very evident so spare me the replies of 100% A-grade horse-shit yeah?
