Ouch.
Really though only one of them (Bocanegra) was a first team player or even a regular sub. The only one I'm sad about is Brian McBride has said he's leaving... :crymore:
McBride is leaving!?
Hopefully he stays in the country.
No, he's going back to America. Being amazing in the air I wonder how many goals a season he could score with Beckham feeding him....
Well if Donovan can score over there...
Do you have a team left?
They presently have 17 more professionals than Norwich.
Andrea Barzagli; Palermo -> Wolfsburg
Cristian Zaccardo; Palermo -> Wolfsburg
Dam, could of been stars...
Fabio Liverani; Fiorentina -> Palermo

And, Thanks for your input.

Nice to see Athletico Madrid buy two good defenders, they might mount an even better challenge in La Liga next season.

He didn't want to go on loan if Guardiola wasn't counting on him, or if he was going to sit on the bench for most of the season, though selling him for so little is something the club will come to regret, i'm sure.

Andrea Dossena is delighted to become the first Italian international to play for Liverpool
The Udinese left-back will complete his move to Anfield in the coming days after undergoing a medical on Merseyside earlier this week.
Speaking exclusively to skysports.com, Dossena's agent Federico Pastorello revealed his client's delight at signing for Liverpool.
"I understand he is the first Italian international to play for Liverpool - a great opportunity for him and he is really happy," Pastorello revealed.
Dossena is expected to finalise his transfer in the next 48 hours before being unveiled by The Reds next week in a deal believed to be worth around £7million.
"He had his medical on Wednesday and we are just awaiting the formalities of that but we would think everything will be signed very shortly," he continued.
"An agreement between the clubs was hard, but we all found it and everything is now ready."
The 26-year-old had a tremendous campaign with Udinese, which included his debut for Italy, and Pastorello admits Liverpool beat a number of clubs to seal his signature.
"There were many teams interested in him," he confirmed.
"He was the best left-back in Italy last year, arguably along with the boy [Juan]Vargas at Catania.
"So it was natural that there will be interest in the best left-back in Serie A, but to have the chance to work with a coach like Rafa Benitez was something he could not turn down.
"That was an important aspect of his decision and he cannot wait to get started."
That's all I've seen, but, it's pretty much done, can't see anything happening at this stage.

Kewell's only in talks atm.
It's been completed now anyway.
Harry Kewell has signed a two-year contract with Galatasaray after passing a medical with the Turkish champions.
The Australian winger was available on a free transfer after leaving Liverpool following five injury-hit seasons at Anfield.
Galatasaray had announced a deal for Kewell on Thursday night, and the 29-year-old has now officially completed his move.
Speaking at a news conference in Istanbul, Kewell is confident he has made the right choice for his career.
"I wanted to move on and I think this is the best way to move on," Kewell, who was sent off against his new club during his time at Leeds United, told reporters.
Thrilled to bits
Kewell, who had also been linked with Celtic, Portsmouth and Roma, had earlier revealed he was relishing the opportunity to play for Galatasaray after arriving in Turkey for talks.
"I'm excited, I'm thrilled to bits," Kewell told the club's official website. "I'm looking forward to the new challenge.
"I can't wait to meet up with the team and to get going. It's something different.
"There's a lot of talk about the Turkish league. It's coming up in the world and the national team has done well in the last couple of major tournaments.
"There's a lot of young talent here, and it's different, that's what I'm looking forward to - a new challenge."

Probably he wants to play under Aragones as he is Fener's new coach but yeah he should went to the likes of Barca and Arsenal.

They make up rumours and possible transfers, but as long as i have read it, i don't recall them making up a soon to be announced transfer.
I don't read Marca anymore though. I read it in Sport, and checked Marca just to see if it was a Sport fabrication.

Well it's on SkySports News at the moment, saying he's agreed a three-year deal with Milan, and is having his medical sometime tomorrow.
Thats a shame if its true it would've been funny to see him in a Man City shirt.

nt sure why curbs has decided to let zamora leave, hes still a decent enough player in our eyes and definatly a harder worker than journeyman Carlton Cole. he was injured most and coudnt find his feet last season but the one before that showed what he could do with the right parter. corse hes prob not gonna get a player of tevez's calibure again but bellemy is kinda in the same mould. sad to see him go but thats what one season can do. pantsil well, he did have a good world cup in 06' so u cant blame curbs not wanting to sign him. we needed a right back and we thought we had a capable one in him but when he played, he seemed like he didnt give a shit so good luck wit him.

I disagree with an awful lot of this post. Bobby wanted regular first-team football and Fulham made a good offer. The guy has been a good servant and I feel we have enough options in attack to allow him to move on, you suggest that all because of the fact he couldn't find his feet last season Curbs sold him when really I don't think that's the case.
Moving on, I feel you're being harsh regarding Carlton. He had to play up front on his own an awful lot last year and yeah he missed his fair share of chances but he also put in some good performances and actually I thought his work rate was excellent.
I also wouldn't say Bellamy's of the same mould as Carlos Tevez.
Finally, Curbishley didn't sign Pantsil, Pardew did under the recommendation of Yossi Benayoun (I'm guessing they played in Israel at the same time)
I'll finish off by saying papa please take Boa back!

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/44837000/jpg/_44837478_boateng_warner_halmo si_203.jpg
Hull City have completed the signings of Peter Halmosi, George Boateng and Tony Warner ahead of the club's debut season in the England League.
Hungary winger Halmosi, 28, has joined for what is believed to be a club record fee of £2m from Plymouth Argyle.
Midfielder Boateng, 32, capped four times by the Netherlands, has arrived from Middlesbrough for around £1m.
Warner, 34, who is a Trinidad and Tobago international goalkeeper, was released by Fulham at the end of May.
Halmosi has signed on a four-year deal, while Boateng and Warner have both agreed two-year contracts.

Just read about Zamora & Panstil. I knew they would end up moving. Its quite sad to see Zamora leave, he scored some vital goals for us(Championship Play-off final springs to mind). Chimbonda (Spurs) > Sunderland
Tainio (Spurs) > Sunderland
Both confirmed. Some great captures by Keane, I think it's likely Kaboul will sign soon enough also.
Didn't Kaboul come out and deny he wanted to join. Sounded as if he wouldn't go there if they were the last team on the planet.
Been fond of Tainio since his Auxerre days. Found him funny in the Carling Cup final, pointing at the score when one of the Chelsea players gave him an earful.

That Kaboul-earthquake quote made me laugh.
"Oh shite there's been an earthquake, what should I do... Sign for Sunderland, blatently."
Hopefully the Tainio deal will mean our pursuit of Whitehead could come to fruition. :smug:

He did, but then he had talks and his agent then said this:
'Younes was very impressed with Roy Keane when he met him, especially with his vision for Sunderland Football Club.
'He was also very impressed with the city, stadium and facilities which, to be fair, are second to none.
'Younes also appreciated the fact that Roy and Sunderland have given him a couple of days to make a decision. I now expect him to make up his mind in the next 24 hours.'
So fuck knows.

Kitson's what, 6'3" or thereabouts? Your strike force dwarfs your keeper.
Speaking of which, is Simonsen your *only* keep? He's the only one on Wikipedia and the Stoke website.

Robbie Keane to Liverpool.
Looks like he wants another season with just the Carling Cup to play for then :)
Torres and Keane? Interestine.
I think if Crouch was given more of a chance they would have linked up well.
Just watch him with Defoe, goals galore there.

You might prefer the one you have. Though it misses some transfers, mine doesn't include a number of loan returns (Montella for example) as the Italian media seem rather strange as to which they class as transfers in when a loan ends and which ones they totally ignore.

Sweey, some spurid football site has done an article saying Stoke are in talks with Fiorentina about taking Gamberini for £2.5m. Surely that can't be right? Or am I missing some inside knowledge which may, hopefully, mean this deal is remotely a starter?

I'm not sure how long is left on his contract but that aside, I find it difficult to believe you could get him for £2.5m, particularly as Fiorentina aren't, unless work is clouding my judgement, awash with quality central defenders.
Ignore the donkey website.....for now.

That's really a post for the Serie A thread but I'm at work so can't be bothered moving it.
He scored once in three appearances for Roma, moved on loan to Galatasaray in January, scored once for them in a handful of appearances and will spend this season with Siena. Now to be fair to him, he suffered a major injury at Rimini prior to his move to Roma so he's perhaps been struggling a bit.
He still looks a good prospect but needs to ensure he doesn't get lost. He made a difficult choice going to Roma considering he's competing for a place with De Rossi, Aquilani and Pizarro.
