The first instalment of Xbox 360's exclusive episodic content has been delayed from August 2008 to some time after November, according to a Take 2 press release.
"Fiscal 2008 guidance reflects the release of the first installment of episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 in the first quarter of fiscal 2009 instead of the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008 in order to provide a better balance in Take-Two's release schedule."
Not much has been said about the content since the original announcement was made last year, but the episodes (of which there are several) are believed to include things like new weapons, new races and new multiplayer game modes. More info will hopefully be revealed soon.
Would have put it in the 'official thread', but why not make the most of this section. :shifty:

Twats. They delay the game and now they delay the content.
This could be a good thing though. They could be adding another island, playable characters, planes etc etc.
Hopefully it comes out before the end of the year though, as waiting more than 6 months would suck.
The guy who voices Niko was on GT TV the other night and he says he knows nothing about the DLC and that he hasn't done any voice work. So, either..
a) It's a long way off
or
b) We'll be playing as a different character.
Going for b, myself.

Claude!
Think about it, he doesn't require any voice acting :shifty:

I doubt they would change the main character, they would have to have a new storyline...
Maybe Nikos mouth gets so burned that he cant speak anymore
GTA IV DLC confirmed for autumn
Microsoft has confirmed Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content will be coming to Xbox 360 in time for Christmas.
There was a bit of confusion, you may recall, after Take-Two suggested it could be released as late as January 2009.
But yesterday's press release announcing the Xbox 360 price cut stated, "The first of the Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable episodes for this record-breaking game will be available this autumn - the only console with new Grand Theft Auto IV content available this Christmas."
This ties in with what a secret source told us recently, namely that the DLC will be arriving in November. In the absence of any official confirmation from Rockstar - roll on November.

Probably won't come out till early next year by which time no one will give a shit about it anymore.
Fuck it then, the only reason i kept the game because of downloadable content, looks like i'm trading it in.

After a delay or two and nothing but silence from Rockstar, we finally have specific information regarding the release of the Xbox 360 exclusive (and highly anticipated) Grand Theft Auto IV episodic DLC.
According to USA Today, the GTAIV "Lost and Damned" episodic DLC will release on February 17th, 2009 and feature main character Johnny Klebitz who's a member of the Liberty City biker gang "The Lost". Rockstar VP Dan Houser describes Johnny as "a very different character than Niko, with a very different background" and promises that "the story will show you a different side of Liberty City." No other story information was revealed and pricing is still up in the air. Just be happy we have a release date.
I thank you :smug:

I hope this means we visit a lot of different parts of Liberty City. I'd also love it if we had a chance to cross paths with Niko and kill him at the end.
First screenies here..

This better come out on the PS3 at some point. Otherwise I wish really violent cancer on Bill Gates, the most horrendous kind imaginable.
