-This option file is compatible ONLY with the NTSC version of PES2008, it won't work with NTSC-J or PAL versions.
-PSP version has all PES shop items locked, the only way to unlock them is playing the game and earning money to buy everything, you will need to buy a total of 61 players to fully enjoy the OF, a list is included with PSP download.
-No boots were edited, as the boot editor is really poor this year (Thank you very much Konami :realmad:)

Will like to hear somebody with the courage to start an LATIN AMERICA & MLS OF!!(with European Clubs,including:Barclays, Italian, Espanola, and Bundesliga...PSV, AJAX, not feeling the french one though..maybe just a couple of the french club teams). -We went with uppercase cause a bug is created if you change everything to lower case: you have to go player by player fixing commentary names, and we didnt want that.

-We called it american file cause it's only for american gamers, not because of team selection.

-The first thing I wrote in the description is: "January 2008 Transfers" so don't expect to find any summer transfer here.

-We made this file just to update our ps2 and PSP games, and we felt like sharing it, we are not charging any money for it, and this is not some "customer satisfaction guaranteed" shit.

The only way I know is to put it on a Memorycard first, then on the PS3 using a PS3 Memorycard adaptor.

The result is a .psv file...

Simple man!...Get a NEW memory card.....load the file w/ the old/current memory...then after you edit players...or play a Cup...before saving...take it out and insert the new one IN... and then... TADAAA!!!! THat's ALL FOLKS!!!

start your ML and when you get to the main menu, go to save > save ML and choose and empty slot. that should do the trick.

I wasn't sure what to do about PES 2008, I was considering going up to next-gen soon, but apparently the price of PES 2008 is coming down a bit now (19.99 new isn't bad) and knowing that it's harder to get editing done on the next-gens helped me decide to wait on the next-gen decision until next spring!

This and the Volume 2 will be a lifesaver for me and my PS2, the same way that the G & P 2.5 and Ultimate OFs got me through last season with WEPES 2007 on the PS2.

I've got my max drive, I know what to do, and now I've got the best of both worlds... another year out of my PS2, and an updated OF to play on it.

You guys rock, great work! And of course I'm gonna have to put "Carlos Pinto" and "Carlos Andres" on my ML team now that I know about that...

Amazins71, this is the link to the OF that I've played before, for WE:PES 2007 on PS2 (this is NTSC, for the Americas, I don't think it's available for Europe).

They're working on an update for this season, but I don't know if they've updated all the USL teams. I know that last season's version (MLS/USL 2007 season) they had MLS, USL 1 & 2, and the Mexican League.

I'm sure they'd appreciate your feedback about the Islanders and the USL. Some of them were mentioning other CONCACAF teams too, so I'm sure that if those who are interested in a North American/CONCACAF OF pool their resources at that thread, something good will come of it.

Again, it's for WE:PES 2007, I think because PES 2008 was such a disappointment for the next-gen consoles, there is a sizable group (including myself) who are sticking with PS2 until Seabass makes the promised "complete overhaul".

pategato and red-town, I hope this helps clear up any misunderstandings about your new OF. Feel free to use my post and the link to the other thread if the issue comes up again!

I posted a variant of pategato & red-town's file earlier in the year. I have updated the file for the 08-09 season, although not comprehensively. So: most major transfers are in, but not all. I posted a variant of pategato & red-town's file earlier in the year. I have updated the file for the 08-09 season, although not comprehensively. So: most major transfers are in, but not all. Ok, the file is a sequel to the one I posted back in June (http://www.pesgaming.com/showpost.php?p=1276806&postcount=376), which, again, was based off pategato & red-town's base.

Further details:

* Lower-cased all player names.
* Vast majority of Summer '08 transfers completed. EPL is at or near 100%. Rest of leagues less so. The big problem I had was finding stats/apps for players that needed to be created, especially youngsters.
* All EPL kits updated except Tottenham and Newcastle Utd (GKs not 100%, but close).
* Other kits updated: Olympique de Marseille, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Dortmund, HSV, Schalke, Werder Bremen, & CSKA Moscow.
* 3 promoted EPL sides -- Hull City, Stoke City, & WBA -- added. Did not add any other promoted sides.
* Replaced/overwrote classic teams with U-23 teams. So no more classic/retired players on the file. Better for Master League, imo.
* Again, some stats and apps tweaked.

I'm tuckered out on the editing front, so I'm not expecting to do much else with the file, especially since the next version of PES is coming down the pipeline soon. If others find it of use, great. Feedback welcome.

I've got a problem with my psp and pes2008.
My Pes2008 does not recognize the Option Files that can download here.
I put the files in PSP\SAVEDATA\ULES008800013000 folder.
When i start he game, it says :THERE IS NO OPTION FILE.

I tried to load the files in System settings and edit mode. --> No option files.

Can someone plz help me??

dude connoll, an update to the file would be awesomeeeeeee! i myself still havent made the jump to next gen or pes 2009. im actually considering getting an xbox 360 or ps3 now (just to continue my pes addiction), but after all the bad things ive heard of pes2009 on next gen consoles im actually starting to consider fifa 2009 (i know, i know it's a sin). so an update to the file would help me last a bit longer before splurging some much needed cash on a new system! and im sure a lot of us would appreciate it man! you da man connoll!

Not sure how many people are paying attention here anymore, but this is just to confirm that I still am planning on releasing an updated file for the N. American version of PES 2008 on the PS2. I've been working on it and will hopefully release it in the next week or so. I need to sort out the winter transfers and add more players to fill out some of the squads.

As mentioned previously, I'll be posting the file in a new thread, but will drop a mention in here for any interested parties.

Oh, one more thing -- I don't have a PSP, so if someone can work on converting the PS2 file to PSP once I've posted it, that'd be appreciated.

Not sure how to interpret this question. The file I'll release was originally based on a beta of pategato & red town's OF, although there are some slight differences between their file and mine.

I've added the 08-09 promoted sides for the EPL and Bundesliga, but not any of the other leagues. Other teams I've added: CSKA Moscow, Zenit St. Petersburg, Boca Jrs., and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Yes, the file is for the North American (NTSC) version of PES 2008.

Right now im looking for the new squads of the Premier League, its kinda hard 'cuse internet suck as hell when u r looking for specific info. Amazins71, this is the link to the OF that I've played before, for WE:PES 2007 on PS2 (this is NTSC, for the Americas, I don't think it's available for Europe).

They're working on an update for this season, but I don't know if they've updated all the USL teams. I know that last season's version (MLS/USL 2007 season) they had MLS, USL 1 & 2, and the Mexican League.

I'm sure they'd appreciate your feedback about the Islanders and the USL. Some of them were mentioning other CONCACAF teams too, so I'm sure that if those who are interested in a North American/CONCACAF OF pool their resources at that thread, something good will come of it.

Again, it's for WE:PES 2007, I think because PES 2008 was such a disappointment for the next-gen consoles, there is a sizable group (including myself) who are sticking with PS2 until Seabass makes the promised "complete overhaul".

pategato and red-town, I hope this helps clear up any misunderstandings about your new OF. Feel free to use my post and the link to the other thread if the issue comes up again!
