It is being reported across the web today that PES 2009 will be released Wednesday October 15th across, with an expected Friday 17th release for the UK.

WENB are reporting that KaiWai of WeArePES.com picked up the information while at the recent PES Cup Final in France.

At the event the attendees were then told that PES 2009 would be released on October 15th on PS2/PS3/X360/PC, with the PSP version to follow later that year. Added to that there was news that the game would be released on the DS and Wii in 2009.

No word on a worldwide release just yet.

Think this may actually be the first pro in which I'll make sure I try before I buy. Probably wait for a price drop too.

going to wait to say how well its received, for its on-line play before taking the plunge. Its a pity there isn't an option to transfer your master league data to the next game. instead of playing from the start again?

is this news a big surprise? Is it normally later than this?

I, and I'm sure many others would be willing to wait a few extra Months if it meant getting a more polished and better game.

I know that you have a play.com connection, but can I mention that shopto.net now have it available for pre-order at £36.99 and does that warrant a thread?

Gameplay.co.uk have it down for November 14. Which, if true, is unlucky for Konami as there's like three better games due out that month.

Looking forward to FIFA more here, tbh.

On the 360 - Gears 2 and Banjo Kazooie
On the PS3 - Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2
Then multiplatform wise there's the likes of CoD5 and Fallout 3.

Those are the ones that have been announced for November, there's a lot more that are TBA too such as Street Fighter, Resi 5 etc etc which could be due out round about then too.

Original?
