I have read through a number of threads talking about the same thing, which game will be better.

So, I went through and found graphics for both FIFA 09 and PES 2009 to look at the comparison. I'll let you know, I am a PES man, but I do own both FIFA and PES 08. I am sure I will buy both games this year as well.

If people have movies etc, feel free to post them.

Those graphics are insane. Gameplay, I am a bit unsure.

From what I can see, it looks as if FIFA have done a lot to make the most out of the next-gen systems in terms of graphics, in my opinion they are a lot better than PES. Also, FIFA really look to be making advancements in gameplay. PES seems to be focusing on making the most in terms of gameplay.

I'm sure this will stir a debate.

Screenshots can be edited. Decide with gameplay movies. They both have goods and bads. Fifa has better stadiums but pro has better players and models. So graphically they can get the same score.

they have manager modes in all there leagues and yes players develop depending on how they perform. this year fifa online are going to change players ratings everyweek depending on how they performed during that week. if a player gets injured then there rating will be low meaning you can still play them but they'll not be that good.

little bias finding 5 or 6 fifa publicity shots and using 2 pes 09 shots isnt it?thing is FIFAs faces, in general, are awful, theres a few they go into effort with like rooney and ronaldinho, but everybody else looks pap.also they have official kits yet they insist in leaving those pathetic tiny numbers on the backs of the shirts all the time. i think it was most evident in the euro game.

stadiums look better in fifa and the colours, PES's colours are too solid and cartoon like at times but the faces and detail is unrivalled.

I posted 3 in game shots from FIFA and 3 in game shots from PES.

I do agree with what your saying, but isn't that the same in PES, they focus on making good players look good as they do in FIFA. PES models are much better than FIFA, but the overall realism of graphics in PES looks second rate, in my opinion.

As I have said though, the gameplay for PES is going to be worlds apart from FIFA, which is what I want.

The only graphic fifa has better are the stadiums. Other than that Pro is better especially on player likeness and models.

Well we agree to disagree. They look good in PES 09 but not AS good as I believe they could be. My opinion anyway.

I'm hoping for an HD video soon. That will determine the true graphics of the game. The videos that you can see now are a bit blurred and the resolution is not good enough.

what it comes down to is if PES online is still going to be total crap ONLINE! This will be the biggest concern to me. PES 08 online was just horrible.
