i just bought, a horizontal stand for PS2 - people say it improves your PS2 performance, so I was wondering if thats true or false.

- what position does your PS2 stand ?

Don't you mean vertical stand? But I too find the vertical position better.

My PS2 is in a vertical position. But I haven't noticed the difference.

Buying a stand IMO is pointless and expensive.

Some stands come with a multi-tap and game holders built in.

I use it horizontally as it fits where I store it and I don't want disks to fall out due to being clumsy!

I use mine vertically because i've found that over time there has been a slight misalignment of the laser. And i agree, except for it looking nice, the stand is an expensive add-on.
