Here is the guide to designing emblems on PES 2009 using the grid (xbox 360 users)

Basically by placing a teams emblem over the grid should help people to get the best looking emblems as possible.

the only thing heat, you can only fill in a whole pixel not half. but it would still look good i think..well done mate for all this, you shpould get huge response.

ive been looking for this site for the past 2years! o my god i had it back durin pes5 but i lost the site from my favourites and never found it again. this site has got to be the best for the pixel editor!

and by the time it gets reduced and put on the kits it will look great heat. also i heard once you do it white (ex nike logo) you canjust duplicate and make it black, without doing the logo again.

i think i read on pesfan, they are 256x256, thats they area of the chest (square)

yeh i watched a video on edit mode and they drew a circle in a quater of the pixel paint area and when they applied it to the shirt it was a quater of the front of the shirt, so should be ok, not like the old days on ps2 when you had to make some logos in 2 parts.

Awesome thread. BTW you can colour an image from pixel editor, not just black and white so you can do the brand and sponsor in the same grid. When will the new sponsors be ready? I'm really waiting to do some on my 360.

right 360 issues with this editing system

only 40 designs can be stored

only one per team...so you cant have kit sponsor and shirt sponsor!!!

40 is not enough for prem, fake span, italian and teams B :(

if you want a blue nike tick, red nike tick and white nike tick (for example) that is 3 slots on the editor

it sucks compared to the ps3 and pc

also no custom soundtracks or chants!? WTF Xbox invented HDD music in game!!

yeah I did...got hold of it yesterday but worked late so only played for a few hours

its 40 team emblems

and 200 logos, you still use 1 per team tho...so the maths dont actually work very well!!!!!!!!

il need to see it to be honest! but was thinking if normally ud have the whole space to do 1 big logo, whereas if u had to make the make and sponser on 1 ud have to make them smaller and it may resemble a pixelated mess!

boys thought i would inform yo all , it is better to use a program called icofx. it lets you bring in the hole frontof the shirt. sponser, logo, andemblem all in one pictre and then it is put into the grid. Then you can recreate the picture from your p.c to pes2009. i saw in a video that you can import more than one drawn image on to the shirt, thats how they did that kia shirt (athletico i think) i saw them (pesfan site) import the nike logo seperatlt then seperatly import the nike tick

just seen some link and someone has managed to do a west ham and WBA kit which looks amazing...maybe I underestimated the kit editing this morning...still not as easy to do as the ps3 but maybe it will be possible...

yeah they look good, im thinking like with the pngs the game put some sort of processing effect across everything, like pixel blur or something just to smooth thwhole thing out, just a hunch lol

I think the kits r done in the editor but the emblems must be png files there just too smooth! surely u wouldnt get the west ham text as good as that under the badge and there isnt a txt editor on PES 2009!

no, it tells me that its there but it wont show up. I will give it a try a bit later am a little snowed under with proper work today tbh, only just managed to come on as its my lunch.

Did you guys read the bit that the guy who created these kits said, something about maybe being able to import images from hd after the nov update, lets hope that is true as its not too far beyond the realms of possibility.

yeh its the dashboard update, its in november I think.

I think microsoft designed it to be more like ps3 so lets hope you can store images etc. I don't see why you shouldnt be able to.

im a bit nervous about this discussion about the update

its not inlcuded in the current menu system, if it was to be includeded on a later update i would expect it to be greyed out at the moment but to include it now would mean the menus would need updating

I wish it would happen but im doubting it

could be done! seen it before with extra content being added to games later on! just means a seperate update for PES 2009

UPDATE IS NOVEMBER 19th WORLDWIDE

Kind of leaves u in limbo whether to update kits if this is the case! thou id like some hard evidence that these changes are possible!

see u have a PS3 and 360! depends what ur getting it on! ATM! there is a better selection on the PS3! and u could upload the files from: http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=63666 and just place them onto a usb and then transfer it to ur PS3 and load them into ur PES 2009 and then basically is upto u to place the correct design onto the kit!

The editing on the 360 can be as good as the ps3.
This is what I know about Pixel paint.
You can add text like in the ps2
You can colour every bit of pixel you drw.
It can support the brand and the sponsor too coz it's big enough to hold both.Yeah the 360 editing can be as good as the ps3 for sure. Maybe not as sharp.

just thought id memntion it i easier on the 360 to just put the whole front of the kit, emblembs,logos,sponsor etc. All the things that yo would see on the font. This is all on a 128x128 grid, then the master piece you have crated on a 128x128 grid can be copied by eye from your computer to xbox . Long process indeed but hey. i think you are all using the wrong grid , unless i have been missinformed.

icofx is much better! If you put a lot of effort in coping the pixels as icofx shows them, the quality of the emblem is imo up to same as the imported on ps3!

Got my version of the pes last night when I got in from work which was a nice surprise, first impressions were good, plays like the demo really, maybe a little smoother though, one annoying thing that happened a few times was that the com players sometimes dive into challenges and they did this a few times with and got sent off on a couple of occasions which as you can imagine is pretty annoying.

anyway onto the editing, I had a quick look at this, the kit design bit is pretty much the same as the ps3 version from what i can tell, I managed to make a pretty good chelsea adidas kit and arsenal away kit, the home hit was a bit more of a struggle, all without logos.

The pixel paint thing is actually more annoying than i thought it would be which is dissapointing, its hard to judge size on the kit (unless im missing something, its pretty much a guess) and once you have saved it you cannot re edit it to change the size, so as you can imagine if you draw something and its wrong you will have to redraw it again, it doesnt seem to have the zoom feature to this bit like the ps3 has.

also, the club badges, once you have drawn them they can only be positioned on the RHS of the shirt, so if a teams badge is in the centre you will have to remake it in the pixel editor, which will be really annoying.

however onto more poitive news, I guess, the pixel paint bit, you can write text which I have seen some people say you cant, there is only a certain number of styles but atleast you can use it to do a few of the teams a little easier, there is also quite a good zoom which makes the pixels really small so i guess this is how you get crisp results with just the pixel editor. there are also a number of standard shapes which you could paly around with to makes some parts of the logos, I didn't spend too much time on this bith though.

this is just my opinion on a quick view on the editor, a little dissapointing but with some patience you could get some good results.

Sorry for the huge bump, but I didn't know where to post this otherwise.
Some time ago I found a great 128X128 grid of the Rot-Weiss Essen emblem (for Xbox 360).
It must be floating around here somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere :(
