goalies at corners

i have the game at home but cant play it till tonight.

can someone check if holding Y down when the CPU has a corner makes the keeper come out to try and claim.

this was a genius inclusion in number 5 but was missing last time out.

yeah but from a corner on 5 he would run out to catch. this doesn't seem to happen in 08.

i know the button brings him out in open play but i never seemed to get him to come out to catch a corner.

They would in 08, but "catch" is probably the operative word.

It the kick was too far from the 6 yard line, the keepers had a bad habit of completely overrunning as they track the ball. Think of one-on-ones, a keeper when activated whould run after the ball like a headless chicken rather than close the angle.

My recomendation is the same as it has been for PES since day one. Get control of a defender and put them on the corner of the 6 yard box in line with the near post. AI puts the ball there 9 times out of 10 making a clearing header a piece of cake.

Yes the triangle button definitely works, I was playing it last night with a couple of mates and I conceded about 5 goals from corners because I tried to bring out the keeper, I'll be using it a little less from now on.

Game is fantastic though, so much to do. Graphics look the dogs aswell

It works.. but you have to be careful...
Goalkeeper tends to hold the ball if he has the suitable position.. But As I said if the cross is outswingind and fast, it is impossible to catch as in real football..
