Does anyone have any idea's that would make this forum better? I am specifically looking for idea's for maybe some new boards or some kind of new competitions or something. I don't really know, just anything that could make it better :)
Since thereīs much chatting in the "introduce yourself" forum maybe make it like with the testing forum, that the posts donīt count
goal of the month obviously, its been suggested before but i think it'd be good
organised by somebody suitable, zyg or paulb if theyre up for it - they know about all that xport rubbish if it'll be xport only
there seem to be enough boards for everything - apart from there isnt a TV one. But you could easily change the name of movies and music forum and jam it in there :)

edit: ive just read what larsson wrote and it reminded me what i wrote in the other forum and i thought maybe a chat forum? just for chat where you cant get told off :D - im always chatting coz my msns broke and pming is just a b*tch :p

about the goal of the month, i think the problem with that was that no one who would do it had a tv card. if anyone does, and is willing to give it a go, then i'd love to get a goal of the month up and running.
and renaming the movies forum to include tv is a great idea :)
I have one little little suggestion and thats this:
With WE6:FE now in many people's PS2's, you will probably want to edit it, discuss it here

a donky of the mouth/week/day, iam open to sugestions, basicly a award given to a person who dose's something stuiped, and while they are teh doney teh get a picture or title change to let every one know

well in order to get the movies from the x-port onto the pc you would require a tv card so you could record the movies on your pc from your ps2. i dont think anyone can do this. and im fairly sure it wouldnt be worthwhile doing if the only method of viewing all the goals was to download them and add them to your memory card and then view them like that. people simply wont be bothered.

True hitman, itīs not that easy to put the replays in video-file format. You would either need a TV card or a DVD recorder, then someone would have to load the files via X-port on his console, play the replays and record it on a DVD. Itīs pretty much work.
im sure someone could do it

maybe webcam goals then? damnit >_< how does everyone else ge their goals to movs then?

A TV-Card will allow you to watch television on your computer screen either in a window or full screen, effectively turning your PC into a Television set. In addition you can use the video inputs to capture video from a Camcorder or VCR which you can then send via the Internet. You can also plug a Camcorder into your TV-Card and use it as a Webcam. With modern software and a fast PC you can use your PC as a VCR.
I guess doing one by webcam would be an idea. Wouldnt be as good quality wise as a TV card though. What do you think?

there is a lot of one liners and chit chat going on in these, dont you think?
you can see how good webcam quality is in my sig, the goals are still clearly viewable. if its not popular then just tear it down - i dont know how many people will do it

Do you know someone with a DVD recorder/TV card AND X-port AND with the knowledge ? Webcam would have a bad quality.
I know that GFK has a TV card and an X-port, but Iīm sure he doesnīt know how to do that ;)

The colour of the smilies is like that to merge in with the colour of the forums.
how about recording goals on webcams and then making them into gifs like mutu did? keeps files small, and its easy to judge if everyone just posts their goal in one thread, with a small comment. and strictly no chat. there could be a new thread each month, and a dedicated manager. the manager could also manage the forum, which would be a new one dedicated to goal of the month.
i know only a few people would be able to enter cos only a few have webcams, but its worth a shot.
and i reckon mutu for the mod of goal of the month job :)
If you manage to do that with a decent quality then itīs ok.
mutu's were good quality...
my gifs were all halved in size to make them smaller, i definately dont think everyone would know how to do that
but if i do get "mod" of the goal of the month thread i could do all that for everyone :confused:
anyway the gifs were slightly less good quality then the movs in my sig but theres nothing wrong with the quality of the webcam movs larsson look v
Ok, quality seems acceptable, but do you have an X-Port ? If yes then you could organize it. :)
Maybe we can do it together Mutu, I have a Xport and TVcard. Of course I have to think about it, and I must now the positives and negatives.

I personally preferred the dark colour scheme.
Probably because this reminds me of Spurs, though.

some people need to reselect back to the dark one
after hitman was changing things it reset some stuff so that if you had the dark selected you came here and it was light. just go through selecting the dark one again, you can get to it still
no he just set light as default
its a lot nicer, ive been through the other forums and loads of em said the only reason they dont use insight was because it was too dark
its better this way

I think it would be nice if there was a better way to see who's in a certain thread, i.e.,chatroom style, so that you can see who's come in and who's left.
What do you think?

There's 1 thing that could massively improve the site... see about 15 of the above posts!
Seriously though, a goal gallery really is a basic requirement of a site dedicated to a football-sim computer game.
As has already been stated, we're just waiting for the right person(s) to come forward to set this up.
I think we should have the following format:
1) A dedicated forum that appears on the "opening page" menu & on the forums menu, that features various types of goal.
Also, a link will lead to an address to which the x-port save can be sent & viewed by Goal Gallery mods.
2) A panel of a couple of regulars to go through x-port saves. This has got to be an easier way than going the gif/t.v card etc route for individuals. An x-port costs Ģ15!
3) We then need a technomological-type person to convert the best saves to video format; á lá PESfan goal gallery. I think this is where we're coming unstuck!
4) Why not attempt to go down the sponsorship route? Datel/CodeJunkies/Play.com are some examples that come to mind to get better server, hardware etc, so goals load fairly quickly.
Like PESfan, there are a few options for the actual forum:
a) Goal of the month
b) Type of goal, ie chip/volley/fk
c) Blunders/freak goals
d) Flash-bastard comp. goals
You get the picture.
Quite often the links that people post to goals involve the use of a media program. I think this is wrong, 'coz the gallery should be as accessible as possible.
Anyway, just a few of my thoughts as to the way to improve PESinsight.

Yeah, but I think you gotta hold your hands up and admit when someone else does something that is better.
I would say though, that this is really the only area where PESfan is better than us.
Another category could be on "goals by member". A basic search engine with links to goals by that person.
They probably do that on "fan" too, but I 'aint been there for a while...
already got that, see my signature :p
and no you cant do that on fan
oh and if not could we at least pin my goal gallery thread? :D ;) :p

A) this is the wrong place!
B) u cant u have to edit over another player, go to editing to find out more
