Is there anyone out there interested in an SGO Pro Evo 2 Tournament? The last one went down hill after the site was down for a couple of weeks, but it was good fun while it lasted. Is the Hitman up for it? It is after all Hitman that has to compile the information and put it onto the forums! What do you say?

I'd like to be Man U if we do start again.

Please, pretty please Hitman.

hi, sorry for the long time until the reply, but i only just noticed this thread. right now, I am very busy setting up the sites etc., but certainly the future I will definatley be holding such tournaments again. I will post details on pesinsight.com when I decide to start again.

Well, basically everyone chooses a team until all club teams are allocated. Then Hitman tells us which fixtures are to be played and when (usually one match a week). It begins with group stages and then goes on from there. If I am Man U and someone else is Leeds then we will both play against the CPU as Man U or Leeds on the hardest level, for 10mins per match. If I win as so:

Man U 2 - 1 Leeds

and Leeds lose as so:

Man U 1 - 0 Leeds

Then Man U wins the match 2 - 0

Yes, cheating is always a problem, but what's the point? If someone cheats then they are only cheating themselves. There are no prizes or anything like that so all the eventual winner gets is a little recognition. I think you'll find that most of the members here are pretty much on the straight and narrow and I personally find it quite interesting and fun to submit my score even if it wasn't a win (last time I was Hamburg SV so there weren't many wins there!).

Anyway, it's participating that counts! I think.........? :confused:

I'm guessing this is one those things where someone assigns a match to be played and we all play it and enter our scores (no cheating) and then that is added up to form a league table to see who is great.

Maybe?

So all you'd have to do is get everyone's result which they would post and make the league table.

I feel really bad! It's my fault all this happened. When I posted the original thread there were only about fifteen members on the boards!!! I just thought I was doing a little of the ground work for Hitman. But it's turned into a monster!! I'll say this once and for all:

THIS THREAD IS NULL AND VOID! HITMAN WILL START A TOURNAMENT WHEN HE IS GOOD AND READY. REQUESTS POSTED HERE WILL NOT BE RECOGNISED.

To ease the burden on hitman, it doesn't have to be him who organises it if he doesn't want to. Anyone sensible and reliable can do it. As results are posted, only the league table needs to be created.

There is an idea on another forum of having 2 divisions and half way through the season, there is promotion and relegation (keeping the points already earned).

Something to be considered is whether the PES2 is to be played or WE6:FE.

And also whether the default teams and stats are used or edited ones. 10 mins matches or 15 mins? (I say 10)

If people are very keen to compete against someoneand they can't wait, they should either come down to a PESTAL tournament or play Winning Eleven 2002 online.

nope. i downloaded the emulator and followed all the steps off the site and i tryed the ISS game and it started to load then performed an illegal operation, always does:confused:

Did you get all the drivers for the emulator? There are a few and it is a big hassle finding them. Does any other PS1 game work or not?

If anyone wants to help organise it, post here.
Once that is sorted, we'll be able to finally start!

The organiser decides on matches to be played and what difficulty. You play the match and post your first result (hopefully without cheating) and we form a league out of it.

I'm up for it.
We need someone who will be able to make and update the league table.

And before you start, you DO NOT choose your team for this.
Each match is different and the circumstances change.

If there are a lot of people interested, we can form a second division.
If playing regularly on 5 stars is too hard then we can make a separate league for 4 star matches for those concerned.

Looking for volunteers to help organise and people to take part.
It will probably be 2 matches to be played a week.
More if there is demand.

I am interested in taking part but I can't spare the time to organise. So I assume you're given a team to play as and one to play against and all the settings (everything is laid out for you like that?). Then you play it and post ur result? Then u get points for how u did and hey! presto u have a league? If so, cool!
