Don't know if you've seen this in the news? I was at home yesterday when the power went off for 30-40 seconds. Went upstairs to see if my clock was fecked & saw the flames!
The flames were as high as the pylon and blazed for around 4 hours.
I now have no gas supply, and supposedly won't have any before christmas.

Believe it or not, there wasn't much around to burn.
The biggest pisstake is that there has been a gas leak in that are for quite a while but nothing done about it until now... this however was not how I expected them to fix it :faceplm:

I'm sure fick can provide enough natural gas for the neighbourhood. Especially if he eats any sprouts over Xmas.

You should all act like fags and group together for body warmth. ;)

Most people in the valley are interbred, so sharing warmth for them is easy. Fortunately I'm not a local....

Wait! The power goes off and the first thing you do is check if the clock is working?

Come to think of it.....are most clocks not battery powered?
There are gaps appearing here fick...........

Yep. Power was only off for 30-40 seconds then came back on. When it first went off I thought one of the fuses had tripped. When the power came back on my first thought was to check my alarm clock, it's powered by mains with no back-up battery.
Didn't realise there was a major incident until I saw the flames. Was playing Fallout 3 with the surround sound on, so didn't hear any explosions.

Gaps closed.
Edit: And no, I wasn't skiving off work. My alternator went on Friday on my way home, so I'd taken the car to a local garage in the morning.
It's still there. When the gas went, it took out the power lines above which knocked off the electric to one half of the valley. The area affected included the garage, so no work was done.
