but the screenshots from winning eleven, are they the same for pro evolution 3?
Zygalski

They will most likely be about the same.
Probably.

Thank-you for your assuring answer!!!!!!

Well since they haven't actually said anything about PES3 yet or even when it will be released, no-one knows so that was an educated guess.
If you don't like guesses, you'll have to wait a few months.
Woody1690

It's being released on September 26th according to play.com

No need to get stroppy, i was only joking.
Zygalski

play.com talks rubbish a lot of the time.
It's more likely to be later in the year than that.
Woody1690
30-05-2003, 15:19
OK mate, probably looking at around Christmas time more than likely then.
Zygalski
30-05-2003, 15:29
Who knows?
But PES and PES2 both came out in November.
Woody1690
30-05-2003, 15:33
As long as it's sooner rather than later i'm not bothered!
Zygalski
30-05-2003, 15:37
I'd rather they did a proper job and finished it, unlike PES2.
Updated and eveything would be good.
Woody1690
30-05-2003, 15:41
PES2 was quite bad for not having updated players. I've always said, if they could get the names and teams from FIFA 2003 then they could put their own gameplay in and it would be the perfect football game. From the winning eleven news it looks like it will be pretty good anyway although i hope they replace West Ham cause a division 1 team shouldn't be in it IMO.
Zygalski
30-05-2003, 15:45
I think West Ham are already in.
Giving us a decent player and club transferring system would be appreciated.
Woody1690
30-05-2003, 15:55
Definitely mate, it would make it far easier than having to edit them all in. To be honest though, i don't think i haven't edited anyone in some kind of way. The ratings for some of the plyers were scandalous!
Zygalski
30-05-2003, 16:21
So you've improved them?
How's your Rooney?
Woody1690
30-05-2003, 16:31
I've put all the premiership teams in plus Celta Vigo and Porto from here.
The stats the players start off with are generally not too bad but for instance the Rangers and Celtic players were terrible. Lovenkrands is the fastest player in Scotland and the fastest player in the danish national team but his pace was only about 77 or something!!
My Rooney's not bad. His pace is about 88 and acceleration 90 but the rest of his stats are quite low apart from shot power which is 86 but shot accuracy is 78 cause he's only scored 3 goals in real life!
hi, i m french, when u play pes 2, do u select french teams?
Zygalski
30-05-2003, 16:46
Not bad goal though, hey?!
The Arsenal and Villa ones I can remember were good.
Isn't Agathe of Celtic fast then?
His stat is 96 for speed.
I know there is Danish mid who is supposed to be the fastest in Europe. Not sure who though. Rommedahl?
Woody1690
30-05-2003, 16:51
Agathe of Celtic is very fast as well, Lovenkrands justs beats him and no more.
Yep, your right, Rommedhal was supposed to be fastest, that was before Lovenkrands had been in the Danish squad. At the world cup last year the coach said that he though you couldn't get any faster than Rommedhal but Lovenkrands was even faster. Not that good at anything else mind you, although his finishing is not bad but not much power.

Hey Beijbl, to be honest i don't usually go french teams. If i do though then it's P.S.G for the Goucho!

I finished at 5 too.
Yeah it was a good chat.
Haven't tried a french team but France are useful.
In an earlier master league, Bordeaux's star free kick taker was Nicky Butt...

Nicky Butt! He is not capable of taking free kicks!
Zygalski
05-06-2003, 14:09
Exactly!
Talk about desperate...
rebusrahman
05-06-2003, 14:10
How the hell did you manage it? I think his kick style is straight and hard like Bobby Carlos, right?
Zygalski
05-06-2003, 14:28
What I meant was that Bordeaux bought him.
I wasn't Bordeaux.
He was taking free kicks against me.
rebusrahman
05-06-2003, 14:32
Oh right. But/t (ho! ho!) have you used him for free kicks ever. The reason I have some idea is cos I have used once or twice when I had no other option.
Zygalski
05-06-2003, 14:41
can he bend it like beckham?
I would have thought there would be someone better than him, even master league default players!
rebusrahman
05-06-2003, 14:59
He just does hard and straight, like some John Holmes motherf**ker!
Woody1690
05-06-2003, 16:40
rebusrahman, bobby carlos straight and hard?? Have you ever seen him take a free kick? His bend is famous in his free kicks! The same in Pro Evo 2!
Zygalski
05-06-2003, 16:47
Woody, we're talking about Nicky Butt!
rebusrahman
05-06-2003, 17:12
Thanks Buzz!

I like using French teams. There's one of my mates who I play, and we always go for the less common matches.
Monaco vs Marseille derbies, and such. Monaco have Bierhoff, don'tcha know. Gallardo's more than useful too. Although Marseille's Alphonso is quality in the game, and Bakayoko has a nack of hitting the target from further out than he should.
I'm a bit short on things to do at the moment, because I lent my PES2 to someone. Now that's stupidity.
Just downloading Wolfenstein - Enemy Territor (it's a stand-alone, MP-only game), so that should keep me entertained. :D
For Bordeaux, Christian and Pauleta are basically my perfect strikeforce. They're both powerful in the air, and compliment the way I play. There's a distinct lack of someone to run into the gaps from just behind them though, because Dugarry left.

Monaco certainly do not have Bierhoff cause he plays with Chievo in Italy. That's why i don't have any French teams in PES2 apart from PSG cause all he players have left them plus i've no real interest in French teams. I've got all the Premiership teams plus Vigo and Porto who were added instead of the other mince teams that were left. PES2 is coming to the end of it's "run" now. IMO we need PES3 for new teams and new moves within the games.

Granted, Bierhoff has left now, but I haven't got round to fully updating my game yet.
Personally, I still very much enjoy playing PES2, although the ML mode doesn't fascinate me as much anymore. Having said that, I'm yet to give it a proper go on Extreme.
I need to get my PES2 back from my mate, and then get a proper update sorted, before continuing with my game.
Shuyea's file has been a god-send, so far.
